I’ll start with the good. This is a beautiful, historic hotel right in the heart of Paso. It’s directly across from the main downtown area and less than a 5 minute walk to so many fun bars, restaurants, tasting rooms, stores, etc. The grounds are stunning, well kept and absolutely beautiful. We stayed in a spa room and spent hours relaxing in the private balcony spa. The spa was the highlight of this stay, we loved it! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was good and had a variety of dishes to choose from. The room itself was dated and kinda dingy-feeling. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that the carpet was stained and very badly needed a cleaning. The wooden bathroom vanity was chipped. The whole room felt like it could have been beautiful and luxurious like the rest of the hotel, but just wasn’t. Would I return again? Yes, for the location, friendly staff and of course the private balcony spa! But I hope that the rooms receive the updates they need.…

Hotel's Favorite
A lovely hotel with a very attentive staff! The grounds are just spectacular, and we loved walking around the Koi ponds. The pool area is perfect for relaxing after a day of wine tasting. We also loved the proximity to so many great restaurants, all within walking distance.

VERY nice hotel right in the middle of downtown Paso Robles. We arrived on Halloween and the entire downtown square was blocked off and full of kids trick or treating - it was spectacular. The hotel is spread out and the rooms aren't the easiest to locate - but they form a circle around some beautifully landscaped grounds - ponds, bridges, walkways wind throughout the facility. Places to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. The rooms we spacious and well appointed. Clean - Quiet. Staff was fantastic - both registration and restaurant staff. Menu offered wide choice at reasonable pricing. It was nice checking in at 6pm, unpacking and NOT having to go out and find a place to eat. Slept like a baby..... I WILL be back.

We spent a couple of nights at the Paso Robles Inn. It is right across the street from the downtown square with many shops and restaurants. It is an older Inn and we found the grounds and room were kept up very nicely. Our room was comfortable and a bonus was our bathroom had two sinks! We were on the second floor and the balcony was really too narrow and small to be of any use; however, they have a nice central garden area with lounge furniture to relax in. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. It is a good choice when staying in Paso Robles.

This place has a great location but has fallen into such disrepair that we may not return unless a major renovation takes place. The carpets were filthy, the furniture scarred and the dated decor did nothing to alleviate what is now a very sad looking property. We are so sorry to see such a sweet landmark go so far downhill.

Very nice, clean, and comfortable place to stay in downtown Paso Robles. Great text communication before, during, and after the stay. Good restaurant and bar as well as being located within easy walking distance of many downtown attractions. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

They are dog friendly, however, you get punished for having a dog. They make you wait until the last minute to check in, citing it’s a dog friendly room, while the other patrons have checked in with no problem for the past 2 hours and it is obvious that the rooms are available. We had to go back to the front desk 5 plus times and were treated like trash. Never again!

This is our place! We have come every year for the last five years. The rooms are large and elegant and clean. The staff are wonderful and have gone above and beyond to make our stay the most memorable. I love walking through the gardens, sitting in the big swings with a glass of wine…watching the koi and before wandering back to our room, we take a little walk on the stone pathway. We joked with the front desk that we should come on our half anniversary! We just might.

Great place to stay in Paso. Rooms are nicely sized and the bed was very comfortable. The location is fantastic as you can walk to many of the tasting rooms downtown. The restaurant & bar onsite are both great as well. Really enjoyed the craft cocktails at the cattlemen’s lounge.

We stayed over our anniversary weekend, and it was a huge disappointment. We were families traveling with children, so we booked adjoining suites. The reservation was messed up and we ended up with separate rooms, one of our suites was replaced by a double, and basically separated our party. When we asked to speak to the manager, Lauren, she didn't listen to our concerns at all, and instead she yelled at me at the front desk, telling me I could be mad all I want but it was my fault the reservation was changed online. Can you imagine being treated with such disrespect at any hotel? If you decide to roll the dice and stay here, I would triple confirm your reservation because once you're there - Paso is in middle of nowhere - there's no turning back and you are stuck with the situation and limited options for alternatives on summer weekends. …

Hello Passenger29362070474, Thank you for writing a review of your recent stay here at The Paso Robles Inn. I sincerely apologize for your experience. If you would like to discuss this further, please reach out to me directly at the hotel. With that said, I would like to explain at the time of your check in we had a lobby full of guests and my staff came and got me to assist with the situation because you were extremely upset about not having the second suite. In my findings which I had explained to you, you had originally booked a room with two double beds and then modified it to a suite with us directly, however it was modified again shortly after online somehow. You were explained that it could have been a glitch, but unfortunately, we were not able to change it back to the suite because it was unfortunately, not available. We were limited on room types as far as availability went. My staff and myself were very apologetic about that because it is never easy for us to have to explain or deliver bad news. I did tell you; you could be mad because it was absolutely warranted as I would have been upset too. I understood your frustration and still do. Before you left the desk, I let you know I would be discounting your room due to you being upset and having this experience. I sincerely apologize that your stay did not go the way you wanted, and I wish you had a better experience from the start. Please reach out to me directly so we can discuss this matter further.
