We spent one night at the Economy Inn. We got checked in at the front desk, and headed over to our room. It was pretty quiet. I'm not sure there were any other guests. It was quite a cold, rainy day, and the room was very cold when we first went in. Once we turned on the heater, it did get more comfortable. The room was clean, but pretty basic and didn't appear to have been updated in a while. The blind on the back window looked broken. We needed to keep the bathroom door open so the heat from the room would also heat the bathroom. There was a coffee maker in the room. The location wasn't near to very much, but we were only heading to the Firestone Walker taproom which was only a short uber ride away. The neighbourhood seemed safe enough.
This was our second time staying at Economy Inn. It is a basic no frills hotel. It was clean and had new carpet. The price is right if you are staying mid week, but can get expensive on weekends. Would Stay Again
This is your basic no frills hotel. It was clean, and in a good location. It said it was a queen bed, but it was only a double so a bit tight for a 6' 3" guy. Was only there one night so did not try the shower.
Prety much what you would expect from a budget motel.... Area is not great, motel is very old school, rules that include NO guest in your room without approval (even for a visit)..... but the room is clean, and the area is quiet... no complaints for what I needed and paid for.
Recent overnight while passing through to go to the fair. I was pleasantly surprised by this motel - our room seems to have been recently updated, it was clean (to include the carpet), the decor matched, the shower was great, and the owner was friendly. He was in the parking lot the next morning say good bye and have a nice day to folks as they rolled-out. Our room had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and tv. I was very happy with the bed ... clean, comfy ... unlike a lot of economy motels/hotels I stay at for work. Only complaint was the price, but I assume the fair had something to do with that. Regardless, I see it as money well spent as we were an easy walk to the fair with comfy accommodation.
This is a classic '50s roadside motel... small room & bath, no bells or whistles... But owners have done wonderful job of upgrading, new tile in bathroom (floor and tub), fresh paint, nice furniture and comfortable bed. Very fine choice for reasonable stay in increasingly expensive town.
We choosed this hotell because of good tripadvisor rating. We were very disappointed. Old and worn rooms. Wifi VERY slow. Wash on bathroom cracked. This room was too expensive for this standard. Not recommended.
Stayed 2 nights. Yes, it's a cheap motel -- certainly not much to look at from the outside, plain beige stucco with row of doors. The check-in was pretty underwhelming and the owners live in the space right next to the office. Laundry machines outside. But inside the room we were very pleasantly surprised, it was clean and fresh, and had a refrigerator (NOT a locked mini bar, which we hate) and microwave. NICE SHOWER, which is also hard to find outside your own home. The Smart & Final grocery/everything store is right across the street so we could stock up on room snacks and keep them in the fridge. Not much sitting space inside the room, just 1 chair and small table. While packing out on check-out day we chatted with the owner who is enjoying running his little hotel business, cleans the rooms personally, and recently did an upgrade to all the rooms including tile work in the bathrooms. He was friendly and we felt very welcome. But you're in Paso for the wineries so we weren't spending tons of time in the room. We would stay there again.…
Service was very friendly, rooms were clean and only little walk to downtown. Spend two nights here and was pleased, nothing to complain about. Free parking and great wifi a big plus. Many restaurants near by.
Cheap motel. Rooms are very small. Wifi was slow. Motels like this are rather depressing. At least the room was clean and bed was comfortable. But there is nothing to do in the town, Paso Robles, so I recommend staying on the road. I only stayed here because my traveling companion and I were very tired.
