My husband and I just had the most wonderful weekend away here. This is a dreamy retreat in wine country. The hosts have done an amazing job creating a country ranch feel but with elegant updated rooms. It is an incredible landscape dotted by hundreds of mature oak trees. They also have goats, chicken and fresh produce growing on the farm. Guests are free to roam around the huge property and visit the gardens, play with the goats (they are adorable) or just sit and relax. The breakfasts are divine and gourmet and cooked from much of their own produce! Most importantly, they are VERY safe in regards to Covid. They wore masks inside but since there are only a few rooms and so much outdoor property and seating, one could easily go the whole weekend with minimal interaction with anyone else. We can't wait to go back!

This place was a dream come true! Traveling 3 hours with three kids. My sister and I arrived tired with kids anxious to run around! Upon our arrival we walked in to a large open room with the largest bathroom area I’ve ever seen! The decor was clean and classic and their was even a bottle of wine waiting for us. They then loaded us on their golf cart and proceeded to take us to see the goats, chickens, cows, and one bull, where they fed and pet them.
Lisa dropped us off at their barn where their is a pool table, darts, full kitchen, pizza oven and lots more!!
After we had a dinner there we walked back to our room and slept sound.
The next morning we were spoiled with a beautiful setting then to follow fresh watermelon juice and fresh squeezed orange juice! The coffee was also delicious! Out came the yogurt with blueberries and a orange zest on top! After we devoured that the bacon and sausages came out and lastly the strawberry stuffed French Toast! Needless to say all three kids and my sister and I were happy and full!
After breakfast they took us to “run with the goats”, meaning we loaded back on the golf cart and let the goats out! As we drove down the hill the goats ran after us jumping sideways this way and that! They were the cutest and funniest little guys! Our kids were so happy!
Our host Lisa and her husband were very hospitable and offered every luxury you could think of! Not that this all wasn’t enough they let the kids pick veggies from their garden where they then washed and chopped them up to bring on our road trip!
I cannot day enough about this place! Great for ANY occasion! Weekend getaway, girls weekend, kids and family vacations!
We will definitely be back!!

The moral of the Chaucer fable The Chanticleer and the Fox, is never trust a flatterer. An ironic lesson, given that my review of Chanticleer Vineyard B&B is full of flattery and praise. My wife and two sons (home for winter break) recently spent two nights with hosts Lisa and Rob in their beautiful three-suite inn situated on twenty beautiful acres in the heart of the Paso Robles wine country. Having never visited this area before, we selected it randomly, but we could not have selected any better. Everything about our short stay was spot on. Although relative newcomers to the B&B business, Rob and Lisa have it down. Well appointed rooms with views and decks. High Quality linens that even our college boys commented on. A bottle of GOOD local vino in each of suite. Pour over coffee en suite for before breakfast. Plenty of freshly brewed coffee and juices with breakfast. And locally sourced breads, eggs, fruits, nuts, meats, muffins, etc prepared and presented beautifully in their relaxed dining room with valley and goat views. That’s right, goat views. Besides the cat that has roamed and ruled the grounds long before Lisa and Robb, there are four Nigerian pigmy goats who could not have been more entertaining, especially when they accompanied us on our walk to the barn down by the dry creek bed and beautiful old oaks. As we walked down the steep hill, the mini-herd seemed to parkour their way down besides us. As we set out on our day of exploration and wine tasting, we did so not only with full stomachs, but also a full — and very good — list of the best vineyards to visit and local favorite view spots, places to grab a bite, and map that Lisa took time to go over with us. Honestly — and please trust me on this — The Chanticleer Vineyard B&B is your best bet in Paso.

Don't come here if you're not looking to build a relationship with mother nature and have a great time!

My girlfriend and I recently drove up from Santa Monica looking to disconnect, breathe, look each other in the eyes and spend some quality time together. If you fancy wine tastings, goat petting, puppy playing, and food indulging then it seems Kindred Oak Farms is the perfect place for you. The rooms are extremely cute with a very eclectic vibe and high-level detailed designs. Every corner you take feels like you're turning the pages through architectural digest and can take the perfect photo because there isn't one background not worth capturing.

There cannot be enough said about the level of hospitality we also received during our stay. Lisa is an absolute gem, warm with a genuine sweet-heart you so rarely come by these days. We felt at home, we felt like family and this is not booking an Airbnb or hotel room - you are booking an experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed the weekend at Kindred Oak Farm Bed & Breakfast in February and it far exceeded our expectations! Lisa and Rob are warm and gracious hosts and the location is ideal if you want to visit Paso Robles wineries. The room was like a five star hotel with luxurious linens, towels, robes, a gas burning fireplace and wonderful decorations. A bottle of local wine was left in the room for us upon our arrival which we really appreciated. Chef Candice prepared wonderful three course breakfasts every morning that were inspired by her Costa Rican roots and were delicious. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

Wow!! What a fantastic weekend my husband and I and two other couples had at Kindred Oak Farm. The property is stunning and close to great wineries and town. The house's setting is beautiful, with oaks all around. Lisa's sense of design has made the rooms warm and inviting; she hasn't missed a detail. Each morning, our breakfast started with two different fresh-pressed juices followed by two delicious courses. They even took care to meet our plant-based dietary requests. When we came back to the property after dinner, Rob had a roaring outdoor fire awaiting us. It was a spectacular weekend. I feel so fortunate to have found this gem and to have met Lisa and Rob. I highly recommend you stay at this magical place.

Fiancee and I had a wonderful stay at Kindred Oak. We wanted a weekend escape from LA and it was exactly what we were looking for. Quaint, personal, well-appointed space. The location is ideal, close to all the wineries but you feel like you're out in the country. Breakfast each day was delicious.

Lisa and Rob are what makes this place special. Feels like they were born to do this. Interesting, funny, down-to-earth folks that make this feel like more than just a place to sleep. One night we came home tipsy after a few tastings and hung out with them drinking wine and chatting for an hour or so. Great people!

Oh, and the goats are awesome. You'll want a goat by the time you leave.

We have just returned from a long weekend at Kindred Oak Farm and already are feeling withdrawals!! Lisa is one of the most wonderful humans you will ever meet. Her attention to detail, skill at cooking and baking, love of design, they are all put forth with so much love and dedication, it’s incredible. The rooms are airy and stunning with fireplaces, soft lovely linens, comfy beds, soaking tubs and multiple jet showers. The breakfasts are sumptuous and multi course with two fresh juices daily, artisanal teas, coffee, fresh baked cakes and savory delights. The farm has many adorable and friendly animals like the bestest dwarf pigmy goats who will go on walks with you, Scottish Highlanders, a calf, Great Pyrenees puppies, cats and chickens!!
It was a weekend we will remember forever and will also repeat many times to come!! Thank you Rob and Lisa for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

We'll echo what others have said. Kindred Oak Farm is a wonderful B&B. Lisa and Rob are exceptional hosts. And Lisa makes some of the best breakfasts we've ever had. We liked the place so much that we cancelled dinner reservations each of our 3 nights so that we could dine on their wonderful back deck. Our dinners weren't as tasty as Lisa's breakfasts, but we just loved the setting. We definitely plan to return.

If I had to describe our stay in one word it would be “perfect”. Lisa & Rob were amazing hosts welcoming us at the door upon arrival. Our room was very well appointed comfy bed, big fireplace with a cozy sitting area. Both mornings we went out for a walk on the 20 acre lot filled with plenty of nature such as chickens, goats, cows, horses and vineyards from afar. We were even given a tour on Robs golf cart while we fed the cows as they chased us around the farm! Be sure to make late lunch reservations as breakfast was plentiful and amazing, loved the fresh squeezed juices as they made me feel right at home. Can’t wait to go back!

Unfortunately we are not. Although very friendly to our guests, we have a rescue dog who is very territorial. We do have a great pet boarding place nearby , Canterbury Tails that we use ourselves. Thank you for your interest, Carolyn
