We recently stayed here for three nights in March. Wills and Katherine are great hosts! Wills is a professional chef, having worked at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles for 30 years. He puts so much energy and thought into breakfast that it will blow you away. Kath has developed a bird feeding program that attracts so many interesting birds that we were enthralled. Where else will you see quail, doves, jays, wrens, orioles marching/flying past your door and window on a daily basis? Just the sounds of the birds make this worth a visit. Both of the hosts make a point of introducing all the guests to each other. There is a daily evening wine tasting hour where we had some good conversations with other guests and also we were quite impressed that both hosts spend an hour or more sitting at the table daily with the guests--far different than we have experienced at other places where a carafe of wine or a tray of cookies is set out and the guests are on their own. Wills also makes a tray of tasty treats to accompany the wine. The location of the villa is atop a hill with a 360° view of vineyards in every direction, located in pristinely quiet countryside but only 2 miles from Paso Robles town center. When you leave, Wills and Kath walk you out to your car and present you with a going away gift. Hugs are involved! This is truly one of the finest experiences we have had at a B+B. It is a pleasure to wander into the kitchen and talk to the hosts about things to do, places to see. There were no significant negatives, but there are rules that must be followed. Example: remove your shoes before entering the bedroom. Not too much to ask!

First....we want to move in full time! With that said, our experience was once again fantastic! This is our second stay at the Canyon Villa and Chef Wills and Kath were again spectacular in making our group of four couples feel like family and soooo comfortable and pampered. In this difficult time with Covid, the attention to safety and health for each guest was spot on and allowed all of us to feel so safe.
Looking forward to our next stay at the Villa....breakfast, wine hour and the Sunday night dinner was the BEST!

My husband and I had a fantastic experience staying at the Canyon Villa! We stayed at the end of April. The property has panoramic views of canyons and vineyards. The suites are beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Chef Wills and Kath are wonderful hosts. In fact, Kath put together a very special couples package for us at the price point that I was seeking. It was a luxurious splurge but well worth it! Our package included a custom four course dinner by Chef Wills with a paired wine selection. That was fabulous! We had a couples massage and monogram robes to take home. We also had a lovely Canyon Villa monogrammed insulated wine bag for our wine purchases at the local wineries. A three course breakfast is included with every stay and a wine hour with select wine choices and chef prepared snacks each night. We met new friends and we really enjoyed the entire experience. It feels like a very secluded intimate stay but it's only minutes away from all that Paso Robles has to offer. We plan to come back with other couples in the near future! We highly recommend the Canyon Villa for a romantic couples get away!

This was our second visit to Canyon Villa Inn and it was just as spectacular as the first. The hosts, Kath and Wills, provide exceptional surroundings and service. They are attentive without being overly so. The location, high on a hill, offer peace and quiet and exceptional views. It is about 5-10 minutes west of Paso Robles, so conveniently close to vineyards, but also easy to get into town. Chef Wills is a true artist with food. Breakfasts and late afternoon small bites are as good as anywhere. In fact, the respect for food ingredients and presentation remind me of Europe, where they also respect food (sadly not so common in the U.S.). I highly recommend extending to a 3-night stay to include Sunday evening so that you can join the spectacular Sunday dinner prepared by Chef Wills, where a local wine maker also joins and provides a wine tasting and presentation prior to dinner. Inn guests bring a bottle of wine to share at Sunday dinner. The Sunday dinner is elective, and we've participated both trips and absolutely love the relaxed surroundings and conversations with the hosts and other guests.

Myself, my husband, and three other couples stayed at Canyon Villa for a weekend in June 2022. We were very impressed with the atmosphere, cleanliness, and quality of everything. The food and service was spectacular!!! My birthday meal was absolutely amazing customized to my palate and done in such a professional manner. Every meal and wine hour was delightful. I will definitely return and highly recommend! The location is excellent, very quick drive to Paso downtown, and yet it feels so remote and private. Comfortable beds, impeccable rooms, views for days, and attention to detail. Cool towels upon arrival is one example of feeling pampered after you’ve traveled and it’s 100 degrees outside! Cannot wait to come back!

Four couples, a beautiful Italian Villa, gourmet meals, charismatic proprietors and lots of wine... make for an unforgettable stay. This was our second time at the Villa and it now feels like Kath and Wills are family. What a treat to sleep in the luxiourous rooms with views of neighboring vineyards. Waking up and smelling their special blend of coffee and being served a 3 course breakfast by Chef Wills every morning was heaven. Then off to the wineries, downtown for shopping and back to the villa for charcuterie and wine tasting. I would highly recommend booking for Sunday Supper which is a multi -course fine dining experience not to be missed. My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful anniversary weekend at the Canyon Villa with incomparable proprietors Chef William Carter and Katherine Bloxsom-Carter. This was our 5th visit to the villa in 9 years. It just keeps getting better. We ate wonderful food prepared by Chef Wills, drank many great bottles of wine, and made new friends. The rooms are comfy and cozy with unexpected extravagances such as pillow spray, heavy robes, and room heating by an electric fireplace. While there is wifi, don't expect to plant yourself in front of a television or computer. This is the place to go to unplug and get back in touch with each other, the wonderful area, amazing art, great wines, and wonderful food. Chef Wills frequents the local farmers market for the freshest ingredients and prepares as much from scratch as humanly possible. It is a joy to watch him work preparing every detail and seeing the passion he puts into the food he conceives.

This was our first stay at Canyon Villa and it was truly spectacular. From the moment we arrived our delightful hosts Kath and Chef Wills treated us like royalty in their stunning villa set atop the beautiful Paso vineyards. Our accommodations were luxurious, spacious and most cozy, including beautiful linens, a fireplace, soaking tub and gorgeous views. Daily breakfast and wine hour were delicious and a ton of fun, and of course we cannot forget the "unforgettable" Sunday Supper with more of Chef's fantastic food and a chance to visit with him and Kath. Canyon Villa is truly the perfect venue after a day of wine tasting and shopping. It's like a little piece of Tuscany and we can't wait to go back!

We stayed at this luxurious B&B for 3 nights in August and enjoyed every minute! Just like our first stay 2 years ago, we appreciated the fantastic service provided by Wills and Kath, the comfortable room with lovely views and the proximity to town. And of course there was the food - superb! Wills is a fabulous chef and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine hour snacks, breakfasts and private dinner we took advantage of this time. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Paso.
