We recently stayed at Canyon Villa; our second fabulous stay. The proprietors Cath and Wills have reached an elite level of hospitality and conviviality that, in my experience, comes only from a special intensity applied to a massive number of details. Still, they remain friendly and approachable, taking time to visit with their guests to ensure everyone has a wonderful stay. I am way beyond "impressed", and you will be too. Rather than repeat all the helpful comments made by 480+ other happy guests, I will simply provide a few tips-- Plan to enjoy breakfast each morning in the dining room. It is not your everyday breakfast fare and is always delicious. Be sure to join Cath and Wills every evening for the Wine Hour. Bring a bottle to share with all the guests. This is a special time at the Villa. If possible, arrange to stay at least 3 nights, including Sunday. Wills' Sunday Supper is a definite "Don't Miss"! If a Sunday stay is not feasible for you, make advance arrangements for your own private dinner at the Villa. Wills' artistry is worth your planning effort! Book your stay at Canyon Villa--you will be glad you did.

Want to live "La Dolce Vita"? Then the casually elegant accommodations and hospitality of the Canyon Villa in Paso Robles is your best bet. Our stay and experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived with a warm greeting from our innkeepers to the beautifully appointed rooms with views that would rival Tuscany we felt blissfully comfortable. From the exquisite wine and cheese appetizers at dusk to the meticulous menus for breakfast and dinner, every bite was beautifully presented, enchanting, and enjoyable. The rolling Paso Robles hills filled with grapevines along with the enchanting gardens at the Villa was the perfect place for us to slow down a little, be inspired, and feel renewed. As a Retired Large City (LEO), I found so much peace and tranquility both at night and day, nested between the central Coast vineyards and the ocean one could Never find a more Perfect location. The Chef and His Wife aka ( Bootsy) The perfect couple hosts, Who add such a personal touch. They direct you to the local restaurants (if you want that) wineries, entertainment or stay and de-toxicity and cleanse your mind/body of City life. this retreat is very clean,well spaced for privacy or enjoy the company of the guests all whom are professional and very real people. The Chef has done an excellent job of enfusing food and hospitality like No Other, that I’ve come across in my 62 yrs of age and in my travels. This is a lot more than a simple B & B !!!

I cannot praise The Canyon Villa highly enough! I was searching for a last minute 30th Wedding Anniversary Get Away spot and was incredibly fortunate to simply find it. We could not have been greeted more warmly, nor have been more delighted with the incredibly lovely villa. Our hosts- Kath and Wills were amazingly thoughtful and served us exquisite food, offering us excellent wines, which is part of the daily ritual. We had Kath and Wils to ourselves the first day, but enjoyed meeting the other guests that arrived during our stay. Wills is a dedicated chef, whose heart and soul goes into his fantastic culinary creations. Breakfast was a three course meal, gorgeously served. Every direction provided a splendid view of the lovely hills. Our bedroom included a view of the East, the North and the West. Beautifully furnished, super comfortable, with a fantastic gas fueled fireplace, our room was incredibly romantic, Our bathroom included a huge, luxurious bathtub, and bathing oils... Ah! I miss it! We loved our daily baths, so relaxing, warm, delightful! We also enjoyed being able to walk out our door, explore the lovely grounds and take walks in any direction each morning. We also could easily drive to town; they have some great restaurants there, do listen to Wills' excellent suggestions, though, as he really knows where one can get the best meals! We want to return to take a class from him and enjoy one of his dinners someday! We did enjoy every single moment of our stay!

The owners Wills & Catherine go the extra mile to take excellent care of their 4 bedroom bed & breakfast Inn. Everything is in such good shape that it looks new - even if it isn't. A very thoughtfully detailed information packet is emailed to you prior to arrival. The panoramic views are also a plus. Spotlessly clean throughout the entire property. They do a super deep clean in between guests, so are very conscious of making things as safe as possible hygiene wise. Very comfortable bed. We kept the windows open all night enjoying the crisp clean air, and the duvet was the perfect weight to keep us cozy. Huge deep tub was a luxury. Water flow was good. Breakfast was very good. My favorites were the little flaky croissants and the oatmeal with a special raisin sauce. Chef Wills went out of his way to make sure I had what I liked - very sweet of him. Catherine was equally hospitable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a great stay within the Paso Robles area.

I struggle writing this review as I too own a Bed & Breakfast Inn, so we are colleagues. However, this inn which has every right to hold 5 stars majorly fails at health and safety, Neither the owners nor their staff worm masks at any time inside the inn. This includes the servicing of the guest rooms, and the preparation and serving of food, a major violation of heath protocols. I am seriously disappointed in their cavalier attitudes and the clear disregard for the health of their guests. To be completely visible, I own The Gables Wine Country Inn in Sonoma County.

Our county’s Health Department has commended us for our procedures. We are not colleagues. If you are looking to get away for a few days I highly recommend The Canyon Villa. This place is something special. Tucked right into the Paso Robles wine country. Incredible Italian styled villa, with great views and a beautiful property. The rooms are all well appointed and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Also, all of the rooms have a fireplace and 2 person jacuzzi tubs. The owners Wills and Kath are just great people, super inviting and sweet. This place is top notch. Wills is an acclaimed chef, so one of the key experiences with staying here is participating in the included breakfast, and their wine hour every evening. Make sure you opt for the additional dinner they offer as well, you won't be disappointed. . Can’t wait to go back.

If you are looking for a gorgeous, quiet, peaceful retreat with rolling hill vineyard views in a clean, outstanding villa - please book here! My fiance and I needed to get away from the city noise, so we called Kath and she provided us with the villa's availability. We couldn't be happier that we chose to go down and stay for several days. We booked the Siena room which has a beautiful view of the vineyard landscape. The room was spotless and included a whirlpool tub. Wills is an amazing chef! He asked for our dietary restrictions upfront and catered his breakfast and wine hour menu to satisfy both of us. Breakfast is outstanding - we loved the fresh baked croissants, fruit, and egg dishes. Wine hour happens daily - Kath selected two wine features for the day and explained where they were from (mostly local to Paso Robles). Wills created a small bites tray that is out of this world. We will never forget how beautiful and peaceful our stay was at the Canyon Villa. I loved listening to the humming birds in the morning and watching the sunset over the hills in the evening. Not only will your stay be amazing here, but you are only a short drive to some of the best vineyards and restaurants in Paso Robles.
We felt so welcome at The Canyon Villa and truly loved Kath and Wills as our hosts. We can't wait to go back! Thank you Kath and Wills! You two are the best!

We love the Paso area and have stayed at some lovely places in the area including the Hotel Cheval and the guest accommodations at the Justin Winery, but nothing compares to our experience at The Canyon Villa!
Where to start? Everything about our stay at The Canyo Villa was perfect, from the comfortable guest rooms, the beautiful location, the fabulous food, to our gracious hosts Wills and Kath. This was a Covid postponed birthday/anniversary/"we survived 2020" celebration for our group of eight. We arrived for our four-day stay on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed Sunday's appetizer hour and dinner with a local winemaker - an absolute must if your schedule allows it!
While our days were spent wine tasting and sightseeing in and around Paso, we choose to dine at the Canyon Villa our remaining three evenings; arranging for an expanded appetizer selection for two evenings and for a three-course dinner on our last night. While there is an additional fee for this, we could not have been happier with our dining experience and the opportunity to stay in, relax in comfortable surroundings, and enjoy the company of our friends and hosts.
This review would be incomplete without singing the praises of Wills and Kath, the hosts and proprietors of The Canyon Villa because, without them, our stay at The Canyon Villa would have been enjoyable, but it would not have been MEMORABLE.
Wills, an internationally acclaimed chef, and his wife Kath, a force of nature who instantly makes you feel at home, are as gracious as they are knowledgeable. Every detail of our stay was thoughtfully orchestrated to ensure that our stay was perfect, and perfect it was in every way!
We had such a great time, that we've already booked next year's visit!

We would love to have you stay with us in October. Visiting then is magical as harvest is in full swing with wineries bustling with excitement of the grape crush. You are correct that it is impossible to predict state-to-state requirements. We are confident that travel will be open to visit our Villa. We are accepting reservations from out of state guests.
