We had a wonderful stay at Croad Vineyards Inn-the hosts, Martin and Patti, were very gracious, and the inn was beautiful, comfortable and quiet, with amazing views of the vineyards from the patio as well as the grounds. We are already planning a return visit!
We stayed in October for our anniversary at the Inn. The lodging was very nice and comfortable and the views are outstanding. The owner was around to pour wine in the tasting room and also checked in on guests in the morning during breakfast - all around nice guy. Their Zinfandel is excellent. We will definitely return!
Spent 3 nights in this amazing place for our 20th anniversary, and feel we only scratched the surface of what it has to offer. Everything you read in other reviews is absolutely true. Martin is a down to earth Kiwi who does it all himself with a smile. His wife Patty is a charming and gracious cohost. And Rosie keeps if all together at the inn. Stunning views, sensuous vines, delectable wines. What more could you ask for? Just go!
We stayed at the vineyard for one night. Loved the slightly out of the way place and the great views. Everyone was very cordial and helpful. The wine tasting was excellent and Jodie did a great job of explaining about the wine. The room was just the right size with tasteful southwestern decor. It was very clean and there were lots of towels. The breakfast was great. If you are expecting a hot breakfast, this was not the case but there was fresh bread, cheese, and other things to choose from. We would definitely recommend the inn and would stay here again. It was close to town. The only item I would suggest would be to provide body lotion.
This was our fist stay for a special anniversary road trip all over California. We loved this Inn the best! It all started when we stepped out of our car and the owner of the vineyard and Inn came right up to us personally and showed us to our room, shared a lot about his vineyard and just made us fell so welcome! He then took us to the wine tasting room and had Jody give us a wine tasting and complementary cheese platter that was a treat! The scenery was so beautiful with a fountain and small birds adding to the Ambience of the beautiful Vineyard landscape around us speckled with mission style architecture. My husband who is not a wine lover liked the vineyard and inn so much he has us join the wine club and wants to book it for a family get together with our adult children soon. So excited to go back!…
We had an amazing time at The Inn at Croad Vineyards! Everything was perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning before heading out for the day. The grounds are well kept and the view is beautiful. We enjoyed our glass of wine and cheese plates in the afternoon. We did the barrel tasting with Martin and it was great learning about his process for making wine. We have learned that dry vines make some amazing wine! Would stay here again in a heart beat!
We just returned from another memorable stay at the Inn at Croad Vineyards. It is clearly the most beautifully appointed inn in Paso Robles, surrounded by breathtaking views of vineyard covered hills. Martin and Patty Croad have added special touches all around the extensive property including walking trails, quiet meditation and yoga areas and so many exclusive and private spots to drink their quality wine. The Inn is steps away from the winery, where Martin, Patty and their friendly team are on hand to keep the wine flowing. Be sure to ask Martin about his special tour of his barrel room. He is one of the most informed vintners and knows every aspect of his business. We just arrived home and we are already looking at our calendar to make another reservation. We have stayed at numerous other very nice places in Paso Robles. However, after the first visit to Croad several years ago, we so fell it love with it that we have never stayed anywhere else. I don’t post of TripAdvisor very often. However, this gem of an Inn requires a shout out. I very highly recommend it. Sincerely, Kim McCleary Blue, Thousand Oaks CA…
The Inn is quaint. The view amazing. I selected it based on good reviews, but it is far from town. If you want to hide away and get away from it all this is the place. If you want to have a good meal the town is 20 minutes away by car. If you don’t mind this, stay here. The rooms on the second level don’t really have a balcony, it is a walkway that the description calls a balcony. Stay downstairs for a cheaper rate.
We enjoyed a two night stay in the Taranaki Room at the Inn with exceptional views of the vineyards from the balcony. Martin and Patty were so friendly and accommodating. We loved their wine, hospitality, hiking trails, New Zealand nuances and the tranquility of this place. The barrel tasting with Martin was an added bonus. We definitely will return for a longer stay. Top Notch!
What an amazing place. Everything was perfect. Martin and Patty make you feel right at home. Checking in with you to make sure all is well. Bonus is the on-site hiking trails. We were in the Downunder Suite. I loved the access to the patio and the view. Thanks too to Rosie for the wonderful breakfasts. Will only stay at the Croad when in the area.
