Very clean RV resort in the heart of Paso Robles. Very friendly staff and very clean resort. Pools and campsites are extremely well maintained. The price is a little high but it is what you can expect from an RV resort in wine country with resort style amenities. We were even given a welcome kit containing hand sanitizers, gloves, and masks. The resort is very kid friendly with multiple pools. My boys loved riding their bikes around the resort. We really enjoyed our stay over 4th of July and will definitely be back again in the future.

Beautiful new RV resort with outstanding facilities in a lovely setting. But a couple of shortfalls keep us from giving it 5 stars. The individual restroom/shower rooms are not very welcoming—more campground grade than resort; how about some mats? The WiFi has great coverage but poor speed; guess you have to purchase the service upgrade to make it workable. For the price, we think the showers and Wifi should be on par with the rest of the facility.

We stayed at the park for 7 nights beginning 04/19/2021 in a class A motorhome. Arrival is 2pm for MHs and 4pm for chalets. On more than one day, guests, paid up or not, were subjected to long waits and the line stretched the length of the driveway (approx. 1/4 mile). Other parks make up packets for paid up guests and distribute at any time provided the site is available. Two of our members chalet had been vacant for two days and had to wait at least an hour and 1/2 because they arrived at 2:30p rather than 4p. I later had to print a couple of sheets and was graciously accommodated. So the facilities are new and clean but our group's perception was that staff didn't care. This is an annual trip and it's likely that next year we'll go back to the sister park, Wine Country.

We have stayed here numerous times and the park and facilities are very nice. Now for the 2 star rating. We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend which was completely sold out. We found out The Bistro still has limited hours 11-7 (even though the website states Fri-Sun 8-7, so no breakfast) staffed with only one person who was also training someone that was basically shadowing and could only pour a few draft beers/sodas and was not able to make cocktails. The Bistro is always busy since it's by the pool which is always packed on weekends. Saturday the CO2 for the draft beers ran out. Sunday still no draft beers and the canned beer soon ran out. Also food was running out. We left Monday morning so I don't know if it the situation got better or worse for the actual July 4th. What a sh#t show. Obviously very poorly managed and totally unacceptable! A lot of lost revenue and many unhappy campers for sure! This place is expensive and I don't mind if the amenities that you are essentially paying for are available.
The negative reviews are mostly regarding the poor management and still nothing has been done to rectify this. Management, do not waste your time replying with an auto generated generic response which is laughable at this point.

Hi LibraGal, thank you for taking the time out to express your concern with us. We sincerely apologize for our shortcoming. Our hours have been changed temporarily to reflect team members, we were able to hire a new bartender (the one being trained). Hopefully, soon we can change the hours back to include breakfast. Unfortunately, the company that provides us co2 was closed for the holiday, We did have plenty of canned beers and food.

I do not agreer with the lock fees. Hopefully we RVers band together, patronize other resorts and they will change the rip-off policy. I do not agree with the resort fee either. Just add it in the rate. Kinda gives me the impression, I could wave the 5 star resort amenities.

We pay the upcharge for a nice place because of the amenities and it's offensive to add to the already inflated bill with a resort fee.

Nice park, nothing to rave about but it's clean and has lots of amenities. We went during covid so the only thing we were able to take advantage of was the pool. For the amount of money you spend for sites there's absolutely no need for an additional $25 site/lock fee. I found that quite ridiculous as I have never heard of such a thing. Golf carts are also very expensive and not worth renting. The small cart ran us $80 a day. However the worst experience was dealing with staff. No smiles or sense of humor. Very flat and hurry up attitude. It's because of this I will most likely NOT return to this park. I have a 12 year old daughter who was in the office with me on several occasions, they could have at least been nice to her, but she got the exact same treatment as everyone else in the office. Customer service goes a long way with me, and this place just flat out didn't have it. Lastly, don't try calling the front desk. Getting ahold of anyone is virtually impossible.

The park is clean and well maintained. The RV spaces are adequate. Now lets talk about the rental units, they are poorly maintained, poorly equipped, and poorly designed. Just as an example, I attempted to BBQ ribs, and half way through the cooking process the tank ran out of propane. I called the office for assistance, but of course they were closed. I was unable to change the tank because it was chained, and locked to the BBQ. It was particularly frustrating because there weren't any cooking utensils, unless of course you count the 3 spoons, 4 forks and old worn out frypan. The ribs went into the trash. The positive points are poor service, poor management, and zero followup. Do yourself a favor and pass this one by, you won't regret it. The management will attempt to smooth your ruffled feathers by compensating you with a couple of cheap wine glasses, REALLY, give me a break!

We rented a villa next to our camp spot and I have to say this campground is top notch! Price was reasonable for what you get! We usually stay at Wine Country and thought we would try this one. They waived the $15 resort fee since the restaurant hours were reduced. But the property is STUNNING.

Cava Robles(now Sun Outdoors) has gone downhill. Also, the prices are unbelievable! Then, after you pick a site, and pay $190 a night, you have to pay another fee to "lock-in" the site you picked. Gouging much??? What has happened to this place? You have to pay if you get there 5 minutes early. So sad that the original owners sold to a corporation. Same with Wine Country RV.

Do the chateaus have individual fire pits outside the rooms?
Answer from Roving62557910375
Fresno, California
They do. Every rv and chateau spot has it's own fire pit... And is mobile... And they have several "shared" fire pits or fire places but due to covid none of those were operating and we're leaving out of the resort as we speak in September 2020. Hope that helps!!

The deluxe sites are larger. Stay away from the clubhouse & pool sites. Too much traffic. You basically have to go by the clubhouse to get to a lot of the sites.
