Spent a nice time in this beautiful hotel. All outdoor hallways and outdoor staircase lead to rooms for non covid stress check in and checkout. They let us just go straight to room and wine and cheese were waiting. They only have a few rooms so it’s a small cozy vibe but giant rooms and all have big balcony doors for breezy rooms overlooking vineyard. Very quiet and very few people around. Perfect for vacation n time of corona. Enjoy!

We are very pleased to write this praise for the entire CaliPaso Winery team regarding our amazing stay at the Villa. We arrived at late night passed 10pm to be greeted by a friendly staff who stayed beyond their normal desk hours to make sure that we are taken care of. What was even more amazing that once we find out that our EV is not compatible with the chargers on site, the Facilities Manager, Modesto, ended up fabricating a custom extension box literally in the middle of the night so we can recharge our car by the morning. The degree that the team went out of their way to satisfy us was truly remarkable and we have yet to seen before, even though we travel a lot. To top it off, the breakfast served by Ruth and her team was amazing. The place is truly a gem and we highly recommend to stay at CaliPaso for its natural beautiful setting and rooms, as well as for the truly outstanding level of service.

The room was spacious and invitingly decorated. The gas fireplace made it even more pleasant to relax in the room. The breakfast was exceptional. The evening wine happy hour was very good, too. The staff is warm and friendly. The view from our room was beautiful, and would be even better during summer and fall when the vines are growing and producing fruit.

The room was over decorated to look like an Italian Disney ride. It is not kept up well, the people working or should I say, person, is completely unhelpful when it comes to hospitality. The price for this property during Covid is exorbitant.

Breakfast is horrible ingredients and nothing as advertised. Be sure to call if you decide to take the risk of staying here and reserve the room you want. I paid for a King Deluxe Suit and upon arrival was given a Queen Deluxe suite. Even though I made it clear upon reserving that I was bring my two kids. They did give us two roll away beds, but they should have lowered the price in that case. I suppose a king bed wouldn't have been that different because the beds must be older than the bed and breakfast. I could feel the springs and when my husband went to try to roll away beds, he got closed inside as it collapsed into itself. The room had no bar soap or water.

All in all, I would have chose Allegretto which is just up the street because the price for this hotel is a 4 or 5 star hotel price for a 2 star bed and breakfast.

Did I say breakfast wasn't as advertised?

The Inn, the staff and our room was great. However there is not free wine tasting, a bistro, or even a tour of the winery as advertised. You can buy a bottle of wine when you arrive, but THERE ARE NO TASTINGS. OR winery tours, or even a welcome glass of anything. The tasting room in downtown Paso Robles is lovely. And the wines are really nice. Read the fine print before booking to ensure you’re getting everything you hoped for.

This was a fabulous find! Our suite, The Sangiovese Suite, was HUGE and it overlooked the vineyard. We loved it! The grounds are lovely and it was fun exploring the Tuscan style property. The best part by far though was the restaurant. The chefs there are outstanding and we loved everything we tried. The breakfast is complimentary with the stay and they went way above and beyond with fantastic quiches, French toast, pancakes and sausages and a whole assortment of other options. For dinner we had a butter poached Halibut that was outstanding. The CaliPaso wine is also great and we got a certificate for free tastings at the tasting room in downtown Paso.

We will definitely be staying here again!

1st trip with another couple since Covid stopped our travel.
Props: Beautiful property not far from the 46 Hwy. well maintained landscaping & tastefully decorated rooms, each individually appointed with a Tuscan feel.
We were in Pinot Grigio which had a great balcony overlooking the vineyard. Comfortable queen bed & pullout sofa bed. Large bathroom with tub & separate shower room.
Small kitchen/bar area & fridge.
On sire restaurant serving breakfast & dinner. Food was good & not too expensive.
All the staff were very friendly & tried to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Cons: No hair dryer. Staff eventually located one for me but I had to go to the restaurant with wet hair the 1st night. Pullout sofa had food in it so when we were ready for be we had to get new bedding to change the sheets! Could not get A/C to work, assumed it was our error & did not want to be disturbed again so just left it. The room was hot. Next night we tried the A/C again but could not get it to work. Maintenance had to come to fix it. They did but that meant we were late to bed for a 2nd night. The room was hot & so took a long time to get to a comfortable temperature.
Not worth the price.

The room and bathroom were terrific - big towels, separate sinks, lots of space. Not a lot of amenities like a fitness space, umbrellas when it rains, or pool were it the summer. Lot of chit chat by staff in breakfast room - would have preferred a little more quiet space.

We loved this place. We were up in the hills finishing up a wine tasting and wanted a relaxing spot to keep the wine flowing and have a delicious meal. This place was perfect. We sat outside on the terrace. Beautiful setting, cool evening breeze, excellent service and exceptional meal. Can't say enough good things about this spot. It has an Inn on-site and is a wedding venue. The restaurant is new and is a hidden gem. -Bryan and Brittany from Florida

Are rooms vacuumed between stays? I have somewhat of a dog allergy.
Answer from
SF, CA
Yes. The day we arrived earlier than check-in time, they let us roam the grounds and eat our lunch while they cleaned and prepared the room. We sat down at a patio nearby to eat our picnic lunch, and saw them change all the bedding, as they had left the door to the suite open. We also saw them both vacuuming and mopping the suite we chose for our stay. The previous guests had stayed all the way until check out time, and they did not rush through the cleaning. Housekeeping cleaned the rooms daily. We noticed that guests with dogs tended to choose rooms on the ground floor, so the second story rooms may have fewer dogs as guests. Also, on our second night, we were surprised to see two other rooms with dogs, because we never heard any dogs. It's very tranquil, or those of us with dogs ensure our dogs are well behaved before traveling with them.
