We have stayed at Mondo in a prior visit to Paso and in a different room. I've been at over a dozen B&B's in Paso and while Mondo is a nice stay, it's not at the top of my list so I can't rate it 5 stars as I would my other favorites. If you stay on the weekend, just remember Friday's can be busy and a bit noisy. The rooms are nice but there were some issues in the bathroom and it could use some fixing (faucet, toilet paper holder). On the plus side their wines are really nice and Doug and Mitch and very nice hosts. Continetal breakfast. The rates are fairly comparable to other B&B's, maybe less on weekdays. The views are nice from the patio however you are not really in the vineyard, just a hilltop with grassy fields. Would I return, sure, but probably not my first choice.

My wife and I and another couple stayed at Mondo in mid-November. It was a great setup because we had the two upstairs bedrooms. The rooms were very nice - spacious and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. As the reviews on here have stated, the breakfasts were fantastic. The views are great and its really not too far from town (maybe a 10 minute drive). Would definitely come back again.

Bottom Line. Yes we would stay again!
Situated, all on its own, on top of a hill about 10/15 minutes drive from Paso Robles, Villa Nel Mondo is a B&B with on site wine tasting.
Rooms: The Villa has 3 guest rooms, 2 upstairs & 1 on the ground floor. We stayed with 2 other couples so I had the opportunity to see all 3 rooms. Tuscany(upstairs): very large; has gas fireplace;TV; king size bed; walk in shower; claw foot tub; views of the beautiful landscape outside. Venice (upstairs & the suite I stayed in): 2 bedroom (very comfortable queen bed in each) 1 bathroom accommodation. Perfect for those traveling together (family or close friends); TV in each room & separate small office/sitting/reception area **(please note, the tub/shower combo in this suite has a very high side. This is great for a long soak but not easy to get in/out of I am short & it was very hard).
3rd suite is at the back of the property, has queen bed, separate sitting area & bathroom with (easy step in/out) "shower/tub combo".
The owners Mitch & Doug (who were great) very kindly lets us use the kitchen so we were able to prepare food for ourselves in the evening rather than driving into town. Limited food delivery service is available if you, (like we did) prefer to stay in & enjoy the Mondos delicious wines with our dinner.
Outdoor seating/dining patio with fire pit was perfect for our evening get-together.
Breakfast: continental style, fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels, bacon etc provided us with all we needed for a full day of wine tasting.
Internet: is free but was a little patchy. I did not have any problems though.
Dogs! Mondo has a lot of very cute dogs! We loved that they would come & say "Hi" & hang out with us.

This is a real keeper! I knew from booking that we were in for a treat, but when we arrived we were in awe! Perched on the top of a hill, the Villa has picture postcard views on all sides. The Tuscany Suite was large and lovely.Beautiful bathroom! We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace drinking wine at night under the stars. Mitch provided a beautiful breakfast and a suggested wine route. This would be a great place for honeymooners or anniversary trips. Our first time to Paso Robles. I liked it better than Napa!

We loved our stay at this Bed and Breakfast. It sits up on a hill and the views and grounds are awesome. Only three rooms so it if very private and personal. Mitch our host was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed talking to him. He cooked a great breakfast that came with scrambled eggs and bacon and various breads and jams. It is a great location. 10 minutes to town or the first winery you would like to tour. We walked the grounds in the morning. There are a couple loving dogs on the property also. We plan on going back!

We did a quick trip to Paso Robles and had an enjoyable stay at Mondo. Mitch, the owner was friendly. He has a couple of dogs who are ready to say hello to everyone who arrives.

The room was large and comfortable with a lovely view.

Even though the Villa is outside of actual city, we easily were able to get a car to pick us up to go to dinner in the downtown area, which is great to enjoy the area's wines.

This place is fantastic! The host and staff are amazing and a wonderful patio with sweeping views of the countryside. Friday night Happy Hour on the patio with a great band and appetizers available. Prices are reasonable. The room was spacious ad well decorated. Very clean!

At the risk of sounding repetitive, I must agree with the recent reviews of Villa nel Mondo. We had an exceptionally fine time staying three nights at the villa overlooking the beautiful hills of Paso Robles. Villa nel Mondo was perfect for our group of three couples meeting in Paso Robles for wine tasting. It provided modern accommodations in a countryside location and offered lots of outdoor seating (with views) where we could visit.

We really enjoyed talking with the owners and brothers, Doug and Mitch. They are truly great hosts who are very considerate of their guests. The breakfasts were casual, but delicious. Doug and Mitch allowed us to use the kitchen to store our picnic supplies, gave us detailed instructions on using the propane fire pit and shared the history of the property with us.

We stayed in the Naples suite which is downstairs and was easier for us to access since it is on the ground floor. The other two couples really enjoyed their second floor suites and views too. When you visit Villa nel Mondo be prepared to relax and enjoy the country solitude, but also enjoy the convenience of being 10 minutes from downtown and laugh a lot with Doug and Mitch.

Doug and Mitch are fantastic hosts and provided us with a truly comfortable and memorable experience. High atop San Robles yet only four miles away from the city, this boutique winery with rooms to rent is a fabulous experience. The hosts are helpful and they have outstanding plans for addition casitas and outdoor space. Their wines are reasonable and done in Bordeaux and Rhone styles. Our room, the Tuscany featured a huge bathroom, sitting area and a fireplace for those cooler San Robles evenings. My wife and I seek out quiet, unusual places like Villa nel Mondo. This place fits the bill nicely.

The hilltop location cannot be beaten--views in every direction. I loved walking the road through the hills in the evening and morning. We stayed two nights in the two bedroom suite with our adult daughter and were very happy--lots of room, quite comfortable. Left the windows open at night to hear the coyotes. Very nice breakfast, enjoyed coffee on the patio in the morning watching the birds. Pleasant owners with friendly dogs. Just a bit outside town, but not too far a drive after dinner. Only criticism is the lack of decent internet--we ended up at Starbucks.
