Overall the property is wonderful. Great location and amenities, close to the heart of Palm Springs. We loved the fire pit and grapefruit trees. The lobby “store” was well stocked with all the basics. However, our specific room was in dire need of an update. The mattress was firm and comfortable but the other furniture was well past it’s life. Minimal lighting meant a dark room even in the middle of the afternoon. Our shower overall was nice but provided minimal pressure. The property as a whole is great, just be aware of the room you choose.
This resort is a bit no-frills but tidy and well-maintained. What a great price for a great locale! Staff were friendly and it was a very lo-fi experience. Amazing mountain view, plenty of grapefruit-laden trees, a cute hot tub and pleasant patio, plus a fire area by the pool. No restaurant, just a tiny commissary. But food is just a block away. Great location!
The staff are outstanding. The hotel is wonderfully central to the downtown. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Ive stayed here many times before and its overall improvements with the cleanliness and friendly staff are noticeable each timethat I stay.
Location is fantastic. Pool area and grounds are great. Be sure to take advantage of coffee/tea in the lobby. Also take advantage of the shuttle service (we rented a car for a day and the shuttle took us to the airport to pick up (and picked us up after car rental day … go to Joshua Tree!!) Take advantage of free bike rentals. When I’m season - have a grapefruit or orange from the trees on the grounds - so good! Rooms are a little dated but are clean & comfortable
Grossly understaffed . Waited 15 minutes while desk staff had to check in a group before us. The clerk was totally alone. The lobby is well appointed but our rooms were grossly outdated and it’s not as though the rooms were inexpensive. There was a crack in our bathroom sink which leaked water all over the bathroom floor when my husband was shaving. We had to change rooms. The people in the hotel are lovely. It’s not them. Even the toilet bowl was loosely fixed to the floor, the bathroom door was shredded at the bottom, the gate door was not working well and difficult to operate, the hot water in the shower took forever and I wasted water just to get a warm shower. The only thing it has going for it is the location. If it was further from downtown , I don’t think it would be an option for anybody. I don’t think we’d return. We made the reservations for ourselves as well as our friends who flew in from NYC. It was embarrassing and I felt awful because the photos were very very deceiving online. …
We spent 4 comfortable nights here in mid-November and I thought it was great value for what we paid. Yes, as others have mentioned, the rooms are dated and could use some sprucing up, but for the price, it was a great place to stay. Our room was spacious and our balcony faced the pool - and there were grapefruit trees all over the place, and we were able to just pick a grapefruit from our balcony - this is amazing to us Canadian neighbors!. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the lobby is attractive. And best of all, they had free Starbucks coffee available every day at 7 am in the lobby! We did not need the air conditioning, but I do have to say the heater was a bit noisy. Earplugs are definitely needed, especially on a Saturday night when there was a lot of noise from latecomers and traffic. But other than Saturday night, it wasn't too noisy. While we didn't use the pool or hot tub, the evening fire by the pool was a nice touch. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, there was plenty of parking available, and there is an ATM beside the lobby. I would definitely stay here again! …
Arrived today but wish we hadn’t. This hotel is a major disappointment. Looks nothing like the photos on the website. First room we were allocated smelt awful, we complained and were moved two doors down. Second room didn’t smell but very dark and scruffy looking. In need of a major refurb. Lever to plug bath water doesn’t work. Walls very thin, can hear dog barking constantly in the next room. There must be better hotels in Palm Springs, shame our travel agent booked us in here
As soon as we arrived in the room we had to open doors and windows due to the old awful smell in the room. Then the AC was soooo loud every time it turned off and on it woke me up. I left feeling like I did not sleep all night! Great location but stinky old rooms with old AC units.
Great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely gardens. Plenty of parking. Down town so easy access to bars and restaurants. Loud music by the pool but gets you into the vibe! The back rooms in small yard are lovely and quiet. Great showers in the rooms. Good on site washer and drier machines.
This is my 2nd review for this hotel and years later it is still a wonderful place to stay. Perfect location within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Beautifully landscaped grounds with nice pool and hot tub. One block from Starbucks. Comfortable beds and pillows. This hotel offers beautiful accommodations for a very reasonable price.
