I'm not sure where to begin with my review; there are just SO many good things to say about the Old Ranch Inn and I'm not sure my words can describe just how fab it was. Having never been to Palm Springs before, we searched for what we hoped would be the right place for us to stay for a 2 night visit. Upon arrival in the super hot heat (it was very hot for a couple who are used to the UK weather - 109 degrees!) we found ourselves in a beautiful part of the USA, driving down streets that we'd only seen in movies and arrived almost at the foot of a mountain to this adorable hotel. There are only 8 rooms and therefore, seemed to be 8 parking spots which we were able to slide in nicely to one of. There was a note attached to the front door for us which helped us get in to the hotel and find our room as the reception isn't manned all the time. Our jaws dropped upon walking into the hotel which is exactly as the pictures you will see and if possible, dropped even further when we entered our room (number 7) and saw how beautiful and huge it was. Very dream like and lots of lovely touches, magazines, coffee machine, welcome note, a kitchen with fridge and the bed - it was the biggest we have ever seen in our lives and seriously the most comfortable, I did NOT want to get out each day and looked forward to jumping in as soon as possible each evening. The pool is cleaned every day and there are beds and towels plus a water machine, ice machine, a basket of different kinds of sun creams... it was just beautiful and quaint, and quiet and serene. Great location, a short walk and you are right at the shops and restaurants. The hotel was so quiet and you could not hear anyone in the rooms next door at all. Air con was a life saver and was super chilly and very much needed. If we ever go back to PS, we will without a doubt book (& directly via the hotel website) thank you to the owners, your hotel made our stay magical.

Just spent 3 fabulous days/evenings, at this quaint inn with authentic and beautiful southwestern charm. While the room accommodations were extremely comfortable, it was complemented with the heated pool that centered the interior courtyard, the quiet residential surroundings of the inn, the nice short walk (3 short blocks) to the center of town where you can find any restaurant you would care for and a tasty and complete continental breakfast on the outside patio each morning (with shade provided by a grapefruit, yes grapefruit!) tree. As if that was enough, it is all dwarfed by the truly top notch personal service provided by Tim and his wife who look to make every aspect of your stay as perfect as can be and is ultra helpful with information and recommendations about the area activities and restaurants. I thought the best thing about Palm Springs was the weather but I think Tim outdid himself and actually made my stay at the inn as good as the perfect weather we enjoyed.

I am unsure when my next trip to Palm Springs will be but I do know where I will stay when I do return. I am looking forward to that day coming again soon.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights over 4th of July weekend. The price was very reasonable and the location was convenient to downtown. Our room was upgraded to a larger bed at no extra charge due to a cancellation which was a nice surprise. The room was quaint and decorated with an old English flair with kitchenette and a back door that leads to sitting areas in a narrow walkway that circles the rooms. The pool was simple but clean and the other guests were friendly. Tim (the owner) was super friendly and helpful. He remembered our names in the morning and made us feel very welcomed!

This quaint, comfy inn is perfect if you want a stress free stay in PS. The beds are firm and comfortable, sitting by the pool is peaceful, the view of the mountains is beautiful and the rooms are spacious for the price. We love having a kitchenette to keep cold beverages and make our own meals as needed. The location is a short walk to restaurants and shopping. The poolside rooms make it so you can sit in the sun or shade and have everything you need just steps away. The proprietors are friendly and accommodating. We will keep coming back!

My partner and I had the most wonderful experience at the Old Ranch Inn. Troy and Jason (owners) are so friendly and strive to create the most comfortable "home away from home" typed atmosphere for their guests. The location of the hotel is stellar--walking distance to bars, restaurants and shopping downtown yet still peaceful. Spent an entire day working by the pool and could not get over the view of the mountains. Each room is unique and has it's own outdoor space which is great if you want to bring your dog along as we did (pet friendly)! Will absolutely be staying here during my next visit.

This was our first time staying in Palm Springs and we loved our stay at the Old Ranch Inn - we only wished we stayed more than one night. Definitely will stay again.
The Old Ranch Inn was very inviting and it felt like we were at home the moment we opened the door. The room was very clean comfortable and quiet.
For the evening we decided to pick up a pizza (Bills Pizza) and some wine ( BevMo) all of which were very close. We discovered that Thursdays were the Palm Springs Villagefest - had we known about this before our pizza decision we would have explored this more - next time. We enjoyed our wine and pizza on the patio.
In the morning we had a great breakfast at Pinocchio (walking distance) in the dessert.
All in all a great stay and we will stay again.

Everything about the ‘Old Ranch’ screams quality.
Cold lemonade in the fridge on arrival, beautiful furnishings, proper cold air-conditioning and the room itself was easily the best we stayed in during our USA trip.
The hosts have thought of everything from the room to the pool, there is nothing to be faulted.
The Old Ranch is superb, we can’t recommend it highly enough.

We spent four days here in first week of the year. It was a fantastic opportunity to reset ourselves after a very active year. When we arrived, everything was ready for us, even our own off-street parking.

It was a colder time, with night temps in the low forties and daytime temps in the high sixties. We never used the AC, but the heat pump kept us warm and in the evening the gas fireplace was a soothing supplement.

The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, we could keep yogurt in the frig, make coffee, and some granola and not have to go searching for breakfast.

Lunch and dinner can be found a short walk 3 blocks to the east in the old town, so lots of things to sample and after margaritas no driving needed, just come back, settle in and watch the fireplace.

In the daytime we would drive to one of the canyons walk along streams, sheltered by palms and cottonwoods. When we returned, we could soak some sun on the south side of the buildings and use the pool, though briefly.

At night it was perfectly quiet even though our unit faced the street. It really is a residential neighborhood, no through traffic.

After our stay even a three-hour delay at the airport was no longer a crisis.

Truely wonderful refuge.

We had a lovely stay! The hotel is small and private, is in a quiet location but is only a few minutes walk from the main downtown area with all the shops and restaurants. Our room was clean, spacious with a small kitchenette and a large bathroom. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool. I appreciated that the hotel didn't add on additional fees like many other area. hotels do ( no "resort" fee and parking was free). We e definitely would stay here again.

The Old Ranch Inn is an amazing little Gem of a place. Troy and Justin have a beautiful Inn and we could not have been happier with our choice. The location was an added benefit being within walking distance of all of downtown Palm springs. Their Inn is a beautifully maintained and extremely clean oasis. Exceptionally quiet and just an excellent place to stay when you want that extra little feel of family and friendship. We hope to stay there every time we go to Palm springs.
