I had high expectations from this hotel. Not just because of the price, but because of the descriptions, reviews and pictures. The good: staff was pleasant, hotel was clean and quiet. The bad: while we were lucky to get the king size bed, the mattress was super lumpy and it was impossible to sleep on it. You couldn't move without waking up the other person. We both ended up with backache and while we planned on sleeping in on our last morning, we were up at 5.30am and left as soon as the first breakfast place opened. I was not impressed when we were handed a "breakfast bag" on the first morning. At first I thought that we missed the breakfast, but then I realized that's just the way they are. That might work in a Motel 6, but at almost $400 a night it's embarrassing to say the least. If you are not able to provide at least fresh pastry and fruit, then don't advertise the free breakfast. Neither of us is a picky eater, but the stale bagel, sugary cheap pastry and soft tangerines are not our thing. To charge the resort fee you have to offer resort quality, but this was not the case. Overall, overpriced hotel that has a potential to offer a lot but needs to keep up or lower the prices. We won't be back.…
Getting to to the hotel and first appearance - wonderful. The piped in Rat Pack music - wonderful. The layout of the hotel beautiful. Being greeted by a warm lobby and fireplace - also beautiful. After that - everything was anything but. Many steps carrying luggage up to the 2nd floor. Outside. Wet. Constantly being told not to slip/fall. The room was large - fireplace going also. However to heat the space and with the marble floors - it was constantly cold and took forever to heat. I am sure the marble is great in the summer - definitely not in the winter. There was a sewing needle stuck in the carpet in front of the bathroom.Took it to the lobby when picking up food that was delivered. Then housekeeping forgot to turn the alarm clock off. Instead of bathrobes they should have provided earplugs - the main street is a drag racing strip at night, the noise outside, the street sweeper or trash pickup around 5 a.m, the thin walls and listening to the neighbors tv until 1:16 a.m. - all of this did not make for a wonderful or even nice stay. The spa reservation was equally 'off'. The woman I spoke with couldn't seem to understand that my arrival wasn't until after 4 p.m. and kept offering me openings at 3 or noon. After finally working out the logistics - the spa is old, the sheets thin, the rooms poorly heated (seems to be a theme)... It was a very unfortunate experience and not what I hoped for the rating or price.…
We visit this wonderful resort about 3 times each year-this is truly a boutique hotel with many unique features. Nikki & Krystal are always there to assist us (I’m on crutches due to an accident). Bryan makes the best tableside guacamole/salsa/chips anywhere. Great pool area, free parking. We will be back in February Cheers, Walt PS. Absolutely fabulous Christmas decorations too.
This property was built in the 1930s and has had a number of celebrity guests. It really is a place for couples and most definitely a place for adults who want the resort experience, not "just a room." The pool area is spacious. The public areas are kept immaculately clean. The staff is very helpful. This property is smaller than similar resort properties I've known, but the commercial strips of Palm Springs have grown up around it and it's hemmed in. The location is ideal-steps away from the Palm Canyon strip and many restaurants, from budget to expensive. Other attractions, like the Art, Architecture and Design, and Modernism museums, are quite walkable. A few minor caveats: The parking lot is easy to miss; look for the fountain out front. There is no elevator. The hotel is downtown, so you will hear noise, especially when the fire trucks respond to a call from the station next door, or when bikers charge up and down Indian Canyon or Palm Canyon drives. The noise isolation between rooms is very good. All in all, a great place for romantic get-a-way.…
I surprised my wife with a weekend getaway. This was the perfect spot for what I had planned. A relaxing weekend that included a couples massage, good food, and time by the pool. This great boutique hotel provided it all. Located in downtown Palm Springs we were walking distance to all of the great restaurants. The staff and service was top notch. The ladies at the front desk provided first class service. The service at the spa was also great. I highly recommend this place for adults looking to escape for the weekend.
My husband booked us a weekend getaway just to unwind and relax! Andrea’s was exactly what we needed. We hung out by the pool, coupe’s massage, sauna and ADULTS only. It’s in the heart of Palm Springs. Walking distance to everything. The staff was a amazing and very hospitable. 2 thumbs up.
I love that it’s a boutique hotel, adults only, has 25 rooms and is conveniently located in downtown. I wish the poolside bar offered more food. It only serves chips and guacamole, nothing more. It also closes fairly early. Pool and jacuzzi area could use more lounging space and umbrellas. Our room was very nice and modern. The bed was the best I’ve ever slept on while on vacation. It had to big soaking tubs in the bathroom and I’d definitely like to use one on another trip. There was a hiccup as far as my reservation, but staff worked with me to correct it.
4 days. Room was nice tho we spent most of our time at the pool. Drinks at the pool were fab! Ask for Krystal she’s lovely, friendly & always goes above & beyond. Her customer skills are excellent & her personality comes out the minute you meet her. Krystal definitely goes above and beyond to help guests and deserves big praise & a raise 🤗
The staff was delightful, helpful, and gracious. On our last full day there was no maid service whatsoever. Towels need to be replaced (old and ragged). The carpets absolutely need to go (including the spa). Walking to shops and restaurants was a breeze.
We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and loved 99% of everything about it; only complaint was that there was no elevator since I do have some back issues that make stairs tough for me but fortunately it's only two stories! And of course it was my fault for choosing a 2nd story room because we always feel safer in higher floors plus it's quieter with no people in a room above us. The hotel is "adults only" and only 25 rooms so it was excellent for having peace and quiet. We love kids but when on a vacation by ourselves, we really appreciated the quietness of this hotel. We reserved a king suite and it was the perfect size since it had a living room with a hide-a-bed couch and two chairs besides the king bed that was separate. The property is beautiful with 2 or 3 outdoor fireplaces to sit around at night and a lovely pool and jacuzzi. They also have a spa but we didn't take advantage of those facilities. Krystal was amazing from the time that I called the hotel to book our reservations through getting us checked in when we arrived, etc. And when she wasn't there, Enrique was amazing in helping us with anything that we needed. We will definitely stay here again!…
