We recently enjoyed a terrific stay at this conveniently located yet peacefully secluded hideaway. The Alcazar has retained much of its 1930's originality and charm in its public spaces and jazzed it up with fun patio furniture, firewalls, neo-jazz ambient sound and pool linens. One can't help but be transported to a more tranquil state of being by the scent of orange blossom and jasmine that perfume the warm desert air. The rooms are more modern and minimal but generously sized, beautifully styled and thoughtfully appointed. The complimentary in toiletries were pleasant scented and pleasing to use. The complimentary morning pastries and espresso were extra pleasant treat. We met several friendly guests from around the country and experience fostered by the relaxing and intimate setting. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the convenience of the two dining options accessible to guest at Cheeky's for brunch and Birba for dinner. Both meals were delicious and service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. This was a surprisingly restorative experience. The pool was warm the Jacuzzi hot but not stifling. And though it packed the spa services of our usual area resort pick ease, comfort, and low-key atmosphere of this boutique locale we brings us back for more. Special shout out to the staff for helping our children to arrange a beautiful hydrangea, orchid, and succulent, floral anniversary arrangement in our room, in advance of our arrival. Such a treat!! Lastly, as someone who uses mobility devises I found the property easy to navigate and at no time did I require assistance to access features of our room or the property.

Robert and the team run a great ship at the Alcazar......this is our third time staying at the Alcazar and it just keeps getting better. The rooms are nicely presented, super clean and spacious. There is a ceiling fan, AC and small fridge in each room. There is good off street parking and the centre of town is only a short walk which is great for heading out in the evenings. There is complimentary coffee and pastries each morning from 7.30am. The Pool area is really nice with lots of sun loungers and umbrellas for shade. We never fail to meet great people staying here while chilling in the pool. We love this place and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

We had the best experience at the Alcazar Palm Springs. Everything was great from the initial confirmation with Robert - Hotel Manager; to the room, comfy bed, fresh coffee and pastries, heated pool and jacuzzi, and most wonderful location. But the absolute best thing about this place is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. From the check in/front desk folks to the daily housekeeping - everyone is kind and caring and it shows that they are happy to be working here. We just sold our family business of 50+ years and we know how important it is to hire the right staff and instill the caring values of customer service. We definitely felt the caring from everyone. We will be returning next year for the Palm Springs Int'l Film Fest and staying the entire 2 weeks. We don't want to stay anywhere else, but at the Alcazar with the kindest people! Thank you for the perfect stay!

Our favourite small hotel close to the action of downtown Palm Springs. Been coming here since 2006. Love the clean rooms, ample outdoor space to lounge or dine, the heated pool and spa, shade trees and umbrellas, and location. The free coffee/tea/croissants are great for those lazy mornings, although more great food options right next door and within a block, makes it tempting to go explore. Still haven’t taken their cute Town Bikes for a spin yet, but plan to when we come back for the next visit!

Loudest hotel I’ve ever tried to sleep in. I have a “Mountain View” room. It’s really a view of Indian Canyon Dr and you’ll be hearing traffic and motorcycles the whole night. When you ask for a different room they will just sort give you this pitiful look like “you’re an idiot for booking that room, dummy” and not offer any help. You’ll see that all of the rooms on this side of the hotel are empty. Stay away from this place. It might be called a boutique hotel but all that means is that they have a horrible location and they are just trying to get by renting rooms to idiots like me that didn’t check that it is on a major street. Pretty much the ‘greater fool’ theory. I’m the fool this time. Well played Alcazar, well played. .

Very clean and nice hotel. But we stayed with 3 other couples on the property and the road noise was VERY pronounced in our room and our friends rooms that backed up to Indian Canyon Drive. So make sure you're not in that building when you check in.

From the moment we arrived for our 7 day stay, all the staff was super. We celebrated our daughters wedding here with many out of state guests. The GM, Robert and hotel staff, TJ (and others), made sure to respond to any needs immediately. Housekeeping was excellent and went beyond to help us clean up numerous wedding events. The office even took care of some UPS packages that needed pick up, even though we had to catch a flight. All the guests loved the comfortable beds and clean rooms. The grounds are superb and constantly being cared for. The casual but elevated feel of staying at the Alcazar is something all the guests will remember. We are already planning our next trip back so we can take better advantage of all the local fun nearby.
