I spent a week here Jan 2022, and am puzzled to see these negative reviews. I found it clean and safe, well attended to by staff, with a manicured palm garden and warm pool, jacuzzi, and hot tub. The upper rooms with mountain view may be preferable, but you must take a staircase up. Good quality air conditioner/heater unit in room, not loud. Excellent fast wifi. Two firepits outside with seating areas, good ice machine, and good microwave, fridge and coffeemaker in room. 5 minute walk to gallery and shops district on Palm Canyon Drive (North). Hummingbirds in the garden, a pretty lobby. To me it was like paradise. Yes, one night some guests were noisy, but mostly it was quiet and it felt like a safe refuge, no concern about crime etc. I can't wait to come back. I hope this historic mid-century modern inn survives.…
7 Springs could be a real gem of a motel but it falls far short of it's potential. Our 2 double queen upstairs rooms were grungy and stained and smelled awful (really awful.) An old, musty, rancid smell has permeated everything. Although our rooms were a good size with seating area, large TV, frig & microwave, they both were GRIMY throughout, especially at light switches and other high touch areas. With stains on seating cushions we thought the white sheeted beds would be a better place to sit. That is, until we did... and clouds of dust motes filled the room. (I'm not exaggerating!) The bathroom vanity lights were dusty and rusty. The shower head sputtered lukewarm water without much force. Given the rest of the room, I didn't dare use the coffeemaker & cups or bathroom glasses. 3 days later, as we continue our travels, after only a 1 night stay at 7 Springs, it's stink is still in my sweater, my backpack & contents, on my suitcase and worst of all, still in my CPAP machine. 7 Springs is well located with an iconic facade, a secure layout, mid-century styling in the public areas, pretty landscaped grounds with two pools and large rooms. It could be so much more than the smelly, grubby motel it is today. To the motel owners: Renovations that don't include a complete tearout down to bare walls and floors (including AC/heating,) with an odor blocking treatment on remaining surfaces, are a waste of money.…
Hotel looks great, clean and stylish. Rooms are decorated nicely with a large bathroom. All of that is meaningless if you can’t get a good night’s sleep. The walls are so thin you can clearly here every word of conversation from the room next door. Noise til 1 am and started up at 6:30 am. Won’t be coming back here anytime soon.
I selected this hotel based on the great reviews and ratings. When I walked in I was sure I must have read the reviews for the wrong hotel. I commend the photographer for the great pictures posted on all the websites because what I encountered was a very different picture. I felt like I was being pranked. The furniture and walls were stained, wallpaper was peeling, carpet was coming up in the middle of the room and the room REEKED of cigarette smoke. There is nothing that irks me more than inhaling cigarette smoke. I tried to open the doors to let fresh air in but it didn’t work. I was up all night coughing and sneezing. I forbid my kids from sitting on any of the furniture. One of the worst feelings is thinking you are going to relax and get a good night’s sleep after a long road trip and get the opposite. I will NEVER stay here again and hope that the other reviews sharing these sentiments are caught in the pool of positive reviews so that no one else makes the same mistake.…
The aesthetic of the hotel, the staff and the overall cleanliness were great — Daniel at the front desk was especially amazing. Great location, too. But the hotel needs some TLC. Outdoor furniture cushions were stained and shredded, room interiors were a little beat up, rooms with carpet had a strong perfumey odor. Adding a small shelf in the bathrooms would be sweet, because the small pedestal sink didn't have any space to set anything.
