Location, view and pool. amazing. The bed is the best bed I have ever sleeped on. Did not like the bathroom lights, would come on there own, even if you get up at night to go to the bathroom. They are triggered by motion.
Got a good rate in December 2022 for a three night stay. These are condo timeshare units, with full kitchens. Ours had a bedroom with a full bath, a big living room with fireplace, and there was another full bath, too. Nicely decorated, very clean. Friendly front desk staff, they gave us a couple of free grapefruit grown on the premises. Located within 10 minutes of all of Palm Springs and it’s many restaurants. There is a New York style delicatessen restaurant on site, we didn’t have a chance to try it but will do so next time.
Had a one bedroom villa for three nights. Easy to check in with dedicated parking close to the room and a first floor villa. View to mountains on one side and to the pool/hot tub on the other. Huge living area comprising lounge, dining and well equipped kitchen. One full bathroom off the hall. Bedroom is also huge with an ensuite bathroom off that. Very clean and very quiet mad a very peaceful stay.
The unit was on the ground floor near the pool. My group reserved 3 units and we were placed near each other whixh was nice. The unit was nicely appointed with a fully equipped kitchen, two tvs, a patio with chairs, two bathrooms, and a large bedroom with kingsized bed. The sofa made a bed and there was a rollaway bed in the unit as well. The bathrooms looked like they were recently remodeled. There was a very good restaurant near the property where we had lunch. I was very pleased with the facilities.
Desert Isle is a very well maintained resort that is updated with comfortable beds. Having 2 bathrooms was great since the bathrooms are small. Nice pools with other amenities. Good shopping center next door with grocery store. Close to Downtown Palm Springs favorite restaurants El Mirasol Mexican, Elmers and Oscars.
We absolutely love this place, and it’s probably one of our favorite places that we’ve ever stayed while traveling. And in looking at a lot of the local resorts and hotels during planning our trip, I felt most of some were not worth the price we were paying for what we were getting. Desert Isle was the only one that seemed like a good value for the money, and a nice place to stay without over paying. When we got here, it was way better than I could have expected! All the rooms are very spacious, immaculately clean, and well decorated. I was very happy to find that we had two bathrooms in our unit, and I believe all the units are the same. We stayed in a one bedroom on the second floor. I was also surprised to find a steam shower in the master bedroom, tons of storage base, and a massive patio with barbecue grills for every unit. Staff was very friendly when we were here as well. A couple of tips - 1) make sure you’re pretty set on your dates when you book, because it is hard to add on dates without changing the price that you paid initially. 2) we wanted a room close to the pool, on the second floor, with a good view. They gave us exactly what we asked for which was amazing, but since I have never been to Palm Springs before, I didn’t think to ask for a patio area that had afternoon shade. Ours did not, and it made it hard to want to sit on the balcony during the day which is when I like to enjoy the outdoors. 3) There are several rooms that surround the office area, which has a really beautiful water fountain behind it. For convenience reasons and to have a beautiful view, I would probably pick a room near here next time. 4) Coachella and stagecoach both happen in April, which can raise prices in this area significantly. We lucked out and went at the beginning of our spring break in April, and prices were fine. However I found out that Coachella starts the weekend just before we’re leaving, and prices were double or triple in the area.…
First off, I must mention that pictures of this place on many booking engines, etc are out of date as it seems all rooms have been renovated. Our One Bedroom unit was immaculate, definitely renovated in the recent past and everything was neat and clean; matching the unit pictures on their own website. We had a nice patio with table/chairs, lounge chairs, grill, and a gorgeous view of the mountains. The resort grounds are also beautiful and well maintained. The property itself is nice, quiet, and laid back. We barely saw a few others during our stay and had the pools and hot tubs to ourselves any time we ventured over to them. The location was perfect for us with plenty within close range and right off of Palm Canyon drive for easy access anywhere. The office staff were all very friendly and they were extremely helpful during check-in. Overall we'd highly recommend this place and would definitely choose to stay here again in the future if we return to Palm Springs.…
This has been one of the best places I have stayed so far in my travel adventures. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained, with fresh grapefruit growing on trees. It is directly off a somewhat busy road but you could not even tell, it was quiet and peaceful. The pool is smaller but long enough to swim laps in, my sister and I played tennis everyday we were there, bikes were available for use ( with helmets) at no cost. I am 6ft tall they are just your average tourist cruiser so they are not the best if you are tall but I survived. The rooms are well maintained, clean and spacious, I loved having access to a full kitchen and grill, we grilled out several nights. Chopping knives for food prep were beyond dull and a struggle bus but that is my only complaint. I found the rate to be extremely economical as well. Yes it is not on the main drag but it is only a short drive or bike ride. Would love to stay again.…
I have stayed in many different properties in the desert area throughout the years, and this property certainly has a lot to offer. But, the Desert Isle isn't to my taste. We stayed in unit 31, which is off Palm Canyon Drive. On check in the employee mentioned since our bedroom is behind the kitchen we wouldn't hear any traffic noise. Since we hadn't stayed here before, I didn't have a clue what he was talking about. It was a Thursday night and so we didn't hear any traffic until Friday at 6:30 AM, when the trash truck started on the property. And, it went by twice. Then trucks backed up to make deliveries to the neighboring restaurant. We again heard traffic Friday night, when cars/motorcycles were speeding along the boulevard. The property was a hotel years ago, and the rooms have walls similar to a hotel room....thin. The bedroom, where we weren't suppose to hear traffic noises, backed up to another room's bedroom. This proved to be a problem at 11:30 PM when the individuals in room 32 decided to be intimate---and they were loud. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, and the space was very large. The entire space was immaculate! The king sized bed was very comfortable. But, one blanket on the bed wasn't warm enough for 48 degrees outside and a heater set for 65 degrees, as we don't like stuffy rooms. We had to ask for an additional blanket the next day. The kitchen is stocked with new kitchenware and we appreciated a full size refrigerator. We barbequed pork loin for dinner one night and made pancakes for breakfast one morning. We purchased dessert at the neighboring deli. The chocolate cake and carrot cake are delicious. We enjoyed the tennis courts. They are in excellent condition. The pool, well it is a shame there is a large beautiful oasis pond, which is only for looks, and a swimming pool that has a dark bottom and is surrounded by a fence. According to the internet the pond was a pool at one time. It would certainly be more relaxing to lay around the oasis pond, than looking out at a chain link fence. So, my complaint....the room is like a cave. It is very very dark during the day. The windows are under an overhang and unit 31 is across from another unit, so the room doesn't get any sun. I guess this is fine when it is scorching hot outside, but on a winter day, I want to see the sun. The patio overlooks the neighboring rooms. The walls are painted burnt orange and a dark taupe. The carpet is taupe. The wood ceiling is taupe. I felt like I was in the Bat Cave. This resort definitely has a lot to offer, but I am not sure I will be back.…
I stayed here 2 nights - while I visited Joshua Tree and the outlet shops. The room was VERY spacious, with comfortable bed. Had a separate bedroom with door, living room , dining room table, kitchen, fireplace, balcony with grill and chairs, and 2 bathrooms. Shower had sauna steam - great bonus. Has a parking spot with rooms on 1st and 2nd floors. The place isn’t new , but kept very clean. It’s a short drive to downtown. There are a few stores across the street for any necessities .
