Desert Hills, tucked up against the rugged San Jacinto Mountains is one of Palm Springs vintage boutique hotels. Built in 1956, Desert Hills is situated in the historic district a few blocks from the shops, galleries and restaurants in the heart of Tennis Club District of old Palm Springs. The "quiet luxury" of Desert Hills retains the essence of old Palm Springs with rooms and suites reminiscent of the 1950's mid-century modern design.

Such a great place for a getaway. First time guest and it was a very relaxing getaway with no kids. Got to enjoy the heated pool. People were enjoying their patios and just relaxing. Easy to walk downtown or grab one of the complimentary bikes to cruise around. Room was very spacious, clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Highly recommend.

This place has a very good location, as we liked to be able to walk to downtown. Then you can go shopping, find many restaurants and see the Thursday night Street Fair. We drove to the Street Fair though, because that day was a little cool. We saw some cars being towed away. Just look for the No Parking on Thursday night signs (including some side streets). Not really a fan of having no office and checking yourself in. We like the warm and cozy feeling of having an office to go to when you need something. Although the response time from Angela was great, we still prefer the old fashioned way.

This little hotel is perfect for a retreat or just a calm and cozy weekend away from LA. The atmosphere is calm, relaxing and you get the feeling of a private villa. The breakfast was included and were surprisingly good. fresh fruit, good coffee, yogurt and granola and served by the poolside if you want.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for past 3 years. We love the boutique feel as there's only a small number of rooms. Adults only, no kids or animals (fond of both, just don't want to be around them on vacation). Chill vibe, close to downtown, just extremely relaxing. My favorite hotel in PS.

This is a very cool place to stay if you are into mid-century architecture. It is immaculate, centrally located, and and well run/maintained. It is very quiet - there's no party scene here, and no kids. The amenities are nice: coffee and light breakfast items are available in a common area, there are bikes for getting around, outdoor grills, a small library, and a pool and hot tub. It's a short walk to S. Palm Canyon Drive, which is the main retail area in town.
