Detailed Reviews
This was our second time staying at Del Marcos Hotel, and it has quickly become our favorite annual getaway! Love the mid century modern decor of the rooms, which all have their own personalities! The amenities are fab: Morning breakfast muffins, croissants, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee are perfect, and the 4pm happy hour of chips, guac, hummus, pita, carrots, olives, crackers and cocktails is a nice treat! When we were at the pool, fresh margaritas were brought to us! We love the pool and outdoor firepit lounge area where you can chat with other warm, happy guests. Complementary bikes are available to take around the neighborhood to tour the beautiful homes, including Elvis' honeymoon hideaway and Liberace's home. It really is a perfect getaway!

My boyfriend and I visited this location for a work trip. The location was amazing to take Instagram photos and everyone was so friendly. The location was very clean and fun to be at. This location is truly in the heart of town. Right down the street we walked to all the cute shops and got dinner. We stayed at this location one night then la senera villas the next. The transition from each location went so smoothly. Would 100% recommend to a friend and will be visiting again.

We stayed over a long weekend for our Anniversary and the room was great! I love the mid-century esthetic. The furniture and bed were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The private patio was nice, tho we didn't have a ton of time to use it. We would definitely make use of the fire pit and outdoor soaking tub next time.
The location is great. Most of the time we walked everywhere. There are lots of great restaurants with dog friendly patios near by. One day we took a drive through Joshua Tree, it's only about an hour drive away.
We brought out pup along and all the guests and staff seemed happy to see him and pet him and we felt very welcome. He had a comfy bed but our dog is a cold-weather breed so he loved laying on the terrazzo floors. Thankfully he is generally quiet, the hotel is more secluded and thankfully quiet at night and I would have been very uncomfortable if he barked and woke anyone.
I would 100% stay here again.

We loved our stay at the Del Marcos. My husband and I stayed in the Errol Flynn suite, which I highly recommend. We had a private sitting and lounge area right outside our second floor deck, giving us the option of laying out by the pool or staying by the room. The pool was heated which was appreciated! It wasn't the greatest weather during our visit but we weren't the only ones taking a dip. The happy hour was a great touch. The guests would wander in and out of the small lobby, enjoying a blueberry margarita, wine or chips and guacamole, along with other snacks. Everyone was friendly and low key. They also have a complimentary breakfast which was pretty good. The hotel is in a great location and you can easily walk to shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I loved the Del Marcos Hotel - great room, nice pool with terrific views of the mountains, excellent location just blocks from central Palm Springs dining and walking, close to beautiful hiking trails. And the staff was great - Rosie and the entire team made us feel at home. Highly recommend!!!!

We loved this place. Super cool. Retro chic without being kitschy. Staff was very friendly. Room was spacious and very cute. We love seeing the old mid century buildings cared for so well.
The absolute best thing about this place is it incredible location. Once we got here from the airport we barely needed the car at all. You can literally walk to anything you would want to go to in town. Just a couple of blocks from the museum and you could throw a stone and hit multiple restaurants. You have to check this place out.

It's a diamond in the rough but the manager Alexandra is so sweet and accommodating it's definitely worth a stay and for so many reasons you'll most likely return. The pluses are the quiet and peaceful rooms and pool and that the rooms are very large. It's also directly across from so many restaurants and an easy walk to the heart of downtown palm springs. With a little paint and sparkle, some better space planning and furniture touch ups, and a better breakfast with some protein the Del Marcos caneasily be a $300 experience per night.

Del Marcos Hotel is where old Palm Springs goes to die. They have the retro decor down, but fall flat on the experience. If you arrive after 5PM, the lobby is locked and there is not a single staff member on site. The majority of the lights are out. Zero vibe or energy. No bar available. Staff in the morning (once you finally encounter them) are extremely rude. Extremely unprofessional staff with lots of attitude. Free “breakfast” is laughable: box store mini muffins and some Yoplait. Very curious what the $40 “resort fee” is for, considering no actual amenities or services are offered? Very disappointed in the experience at Del Marcos Hotel. There are so many other and better retro hotels in Palm Springs to choose from. Avoid Del Marcos Hotel at all costs.

We are sorry to hear, and thank you for the feedback. Since our lobby closed early during your stay, we do always have someone available at our sister property - La Serena Villas, who is able to assist with any and all needs. We do have a few amenities available, to name a few - complimentary bikes that were avaialble and offer room service from Azúcar Restaurant. We hope you give us the opportunity to redeem your experience at our little slice of history in Palm Springs.

I had a wonderful week staying at this hotel. It was close to everything downtown, restaurants and shops. The staff at the front desk was so helpful and kind with anything I needed. I loved my room it was clean spacious and had a great little outside porch that looked out to the mountains and trees. Felt very at home here. I would highly recommend it if you want the feel of being in Palm Springs. Mid century modern furniture and style.

We have stayed at the Del Marco several times now and all of the rooms are really cute . You can get a suite with a living room and kitchen , to a smaller room with table and chair and cute little coffee bar. All rooms on. The first floor are around the pool which is great . Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The hole provides towels and pool noodles . Great happy hour with fun cocktails and snacks and continental breakfast . The people that work there are all very friendly . Great location , you, an walk to restaurants and shopping.

We beat the pool between 88-90 degrees so night swimming is awesome! The following rooms have outdoor tubs: poolside, Nat Reed, and Christopher Kennedy. Shag has an indoor claw foot tub. If you need a hotel w a hot tub. Check out the 350 Hotel or La Serena Villas (our sister properties!!)

Corona del Mar, California10 contributions2 helpful votesLeaving Newport Beach at 5:00 pm so not there till 8:00 pm. Is this ok?
Also do you have any quiet Mountain View rooms left?
Thanks.
typically it's open from 8am to 10pm.....because all of the guest rooms are around the pool.. but if you are in the pool and being quiet and not disturbing the other guests...then you can stay in there all night!
