This hotel is average at best. The lights in my room weren't all working correctly and they had the air conditioning on although it was January until I figured out how to switch it to heat. The heating and air conditioning unit is loud, so it woke me up multiple times every night since I'm a light sleeper. I also found it annoying that the entrance to the first floor was repeatedly wide open although I closed it on several occasions. Not only was it making the floor colder but it's a huge security risk that most hotels avoid by keeping access locked for guests. I did enjoy the proximity to a shopping center nearby and I was able to walk extremely close to the mountain, but this isn't the type of place that I would personally rent.
Nice room, comfy king bed, ground floor room was clean, Randy, Maria, Stephanie, & Alfredo were extraordinaire at the front desk & the restaurant El Jeff's inside the hotel has Excellent food & margaritas.
I have been here for 10 minutes and I am looking for a new hotel to switch to. I will fight this on my CC. This is beyond the dirtiest “hotel” room I’ve ever been in. The bathroom has mold, paint cracking, hair in the tub, furniture is old, carpet is dirty. My daughter is completely sketched out by the place. She wants to wear flip flops in the shower. This is a motel, not a hotel. Do not stay here!
I am giving this place a one star because I was charged for the stay as in TWICE. It’s been almost a year and no reimbursement. Save your money and don’t get ROBBED. This is a motel 6 with colorful paint.
I hate leaving a less than favorable review but I will not stay at this hotel again. It was incredibly costly (over $400/night post “fees”) yet I’ve stayed in chain hotels that are of better quality. The hotel looks nice, but the rooms themselves are underwhelming: Beds were very uncomfortable, sheets are best described as rough. We paid for a king suite but the bedroom of the suite was situated next to the exterior public access walkway to other rooms, so you are awoken at every passerby. That room should prob be the lesser cost of all the rooms. The bathrooms were old. I was very disappointed in how much I paid for vs what was received. Lastly, watch the hotel rates as they appear to fluctuate significantly. Upon checkout, my travel partners room was hundreds of dollars less than mine for the weekend; we booked the same room. Booking in advance did not work in my favor.…
I just booked three additional nights! Chic setting and friendly staff-Randy and Anna could answer any question I had. I enjoyed the colorful pool area and hot tubs. It was easy to relax with restaurant and cantina on site. I just booked a massage for tomorrow
I have just returned from a trip to California with my family after many years. I wanted to write expressing my thanks and appreciation towards Patrick Nash at the front desk. We arrived in Palm Springs after a long drive from Sequoia National Park. It was dark and we were tired. He immediately put us at ease and had the most delightful manner, not only with us but every person that he checked in or assisted in some way. We were so impressed we decided to stay an additional night. Again, each time we went to the front desk, (and he seemed to be there 24/7) he was there to greet us with a smile and humour. Having worked as a front desk supervisor in California some 20 years ago I understand the demand and pressure, especially during the busy Christmas period. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our 3-week stay he stood out above and beyond any customer facing person we dealt with. He was exceptional! We loved the Saguaro and everything Palm Springs had to offer.…
The ambience of this hotel is a lot of fun, especially for families, but our room was very dirty in a deep, “this can’t be fixed with a cleaning” kind of way. The carpet was visibly stained, the bathroom floor and bathtub even worse, the furniture was worn with old colored sticky spots from stains still on the chairs. I brought my two year old son, and while he loved the colors, I wouldn’t let him take his shoes off or bathe in the tub. For 200 dollars, it had a motel room vibe.
We went with friends who stay at less expensive hotels than we usually do so our review is somewhat skewed by that. Pros: inexpensive, colorful, fun, great hot tub and pool scene, delicious and fun restaurant, nice and positive staff., ordered items arrived quickly. Cons: uncomfortable beds, long lines, hard to reach by phone, hard to find your way to the lobby through the hotel's maze, late check in time, chaotic service at restaurant, woken up at 6 am with upstairs guests sounding like hoard of elephants.
Second visit. Its fun, vibrant with good staff and good drinks. I would stay again. If you are looking for a sophisticated and quiet hotel then this probably isn't for you. If however a loud, brash hotel with neons and day glows is what you're after then this may be it. Both my visits have been at Christmas so it's quieter than usual, no djs by the pool and certainly no all night partying.. I may give that a miss to be honest. The rooms are clean and all have good views of either the pool or the surrounding mountains. Strangest minibar I have seen in any hotel with a good range of drinks, snacks, lube and condoms... Fun place in a fun town.
