Our stay started with a warm greeting by Tim and Cody. Friendly and genuine. Each day brought new encounters with the phenomenal staff. Hillary helped with ice and recommendations on restaurants. She was spot on!! Dan was always ready to assist. They all helped with bikes and storing our luggage between checkout and leaving for the airport. After a week, we felt like old friends, nay, we felt like family!! :)
Definitely check pricing, as can vary widely depending on when one stays. Expect small bathrooms, but beds fairly cozy. Most other restaurants within walking distance- Nice place to relax and unwind, Table-Tennis a nice extra.
Palm Springs--shew 108 on consecutive days! The staff of Ingleside Inn is fabulous. The only star missing is the room wasn't as luxe as I thought it should be. It was on the small side but still comfortable, linens and pillows were fabulous. Poolside service was outstanding, never had a glass on E.
We got away to our beloved Palm Springs for my husband’s birthday and picked Ingleside Inn for our retreat. It was a perfect decision, and our trip was as relaxing and satisfying as can be from the moment we got to the property. Tony, Guillermo, and other staff we encountered could not have been nicer people or better at what they do. We had asked for a suite out of the way, and the room we got was perfect for us (apparently Marlon Brando would regularly stay in it!). I am demanding when it comes to cleanliness, and I can say the room, our linens, and our towels were all immaculately clean. We enjoyed our Melvyn’s lunches and sauntering into downtown for dinner. We enjoyed many hours at the pool — what a gorgeous view from every direction. The grounds are immaculate and kept up by skillful staff who are sensitive to guests’ needs. The hotel’s location is walking distance from everything you might need. We can’t wait to return because Ingleside will now be our new go-to place to stay in Palm Springs. …
My wife and I motored from Las Vegas through some winding back roads in the Mojave National Preserve last week and finally arrived at the historic Ingleside Inn of Palm Springs, California. To say that our stay was a restful break from our hectic work-life would be like saying that the New Orleans coffee and beignets at Café Du Monde are nice. The memories are still lingering. The historic 2.5 acre grounds are nestled against the dramatic San Jacinto Mountains, amidst 60-foot palm trees that shimmer in the purifying desert breeze. But the place is enchanting because of its landmark history. Celebrity ghosts seem to be just around the corner. We shared a memorable dinner at the annexed Melvyn’s Restaurant – with the sense that Sinatra was just a few tables over as Rat Pack standards kept wafting from an adjacent plush piano bar – then strolled just a few steps back to our quaint Spanish Revival suite. Juan, Don, Tim & Guillermo were among the staff that made us feel as if we were staying at a home away from home. We actually happened to stay in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s favorite suite. As the man says: “I’ll be back!”…
Ingleside Inn is a historical property in a very nice quiet part of Palm Springs. The pool area is so relaxing and catches the sun for most of the day The room was really spacious although the bed was too soft for my personal taste.
Fabulous as always! We have been coming to the Ingleside Inn for over 35 years back in the Melyvn days for our anniversary every year sitting at the bar at Melyvns. We hosted my 50th birthday celebration on the veranda years ago. This adventure continued yesterday where we had the fortunate experience of fabulous restaurants and a few too many cocktails so we decided to call The Ingleside Inn and stay the night and be safe and it was fabulous enjoyed the pool enjoyed the veranda and had a fabulous room. We were able to walk over to Avalon and have another desert jewel and that was fabulous too. Tony is the guest extraordinaire experience his knowledge of architectural history was a fabulous conversation. Tony is so welcoming and inviting, he made us feel so at home. He totally gets the history of The Ingleside and knows how to perfectly blend the history of the past with the new experience. La Casa Contenta…
I have stayed at various Palm Springs hotels. They all have their charms and special touches. But there is something truly special about Ingleside Inn. I've had it on my list for a while and finally decided to book 2 nights. We loved it so much we extended our stay and are already planing our next stay. We got there late and planned on walking to main street to grab something to eat. As we passed by Melvyn's we decided to stop in for a drink, Buddy makes the best martinis!. Despite the fact that it was Wednesday and the restaurant was packed. Ron, Melvy's amazing host found a great table for us so we decided to stay for dinner. What a dinner! We felt transported to another time (in the best way). Stayed until the very last song, by the great Michael Healy was played. Live entertainment is a dying art. So happy Melvyn's is keeping it alive. We stayed in room 19, the Lily Pons suite. It was perfect. Great bed, two walking closets, large sofa and fireplace. We did not use the fireplace as it was a very hot week, but it looked beautiful. We loved having a private outdoor area in our room. The room felt so private and tranquil. The pool area was gorgeous, classic and clean. Pool service was great, plus you get to eat from Melvyn's. Guillermo took great care of us. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating. Dan knows everything about the property and it's history and was extremely nice. Tim was also so hospitable. We felt at home at Ingleside Inn. It felt like it was a great place for couples, babymoons, a solo getaway. or even with a friend. Just a beautiful place to relax. …
This hotel is not a 4*; tired and in need of a face-lift. Pool area, very poor on terms of accessibility. User unfriendly. Room had no extractor in bathroom. Not enough storage space in rooms and not worth the $3k (USD) price tag for a 7-night stay
If you're looking for a quiet, low-key stay, this is your place! It's centrally located, has a warm, friendly staff and the historic property is well kept and comfortable. Modern amenities with old school charm.
