We were unable to get a one bedroom villa, so we opted for the guest room. The layout was poorly done and had an uncurtained bathroom window that allowed too much light in the room. I would not recommend their guest rooms. The facilities, however, were beautiful.
Although the property is lovely and we enjoyed the villa accommodations very much, in the middle of our 6 night stay, the Wi-Fi went out. And sadly, it never came back on. We got very different and confusing answers whenever we would call and ask the status, but ultimately they were still trying to fix it when we were checking out yesterday. Add to this, the fact that we had very poor cell service all over the property, but especially in our room. After two days, we were sent a text saying that they had set up an area in a lobby with limited Wi-Fi connectivity but it was far away from our room. Plus, it was inside and we have been trying to avoid being inside with other people due to not wanting to catch Covid. I find it hard to believe that this problem couldn’t have been fixed more quickly. It seems like whoever was in charge really dropped the ball. This made for a very unpleasant situation. If you decide to stay there, just be sure you don’t have work you need to accomplish.…
We were placed in building B, and the accommodations are really well equipped. We had a 2 bed 2 bath villa that fit everyone very well. We didn't use the property much, but the location is good for an hour drive to Joshua Tree, and 1/2 hr to all of the local sights near Palm Springs. Note that there is no regular room service cleaning. However, whatever is needed, you can call and they bring to you fairly quickly.
OUr family of four recently completed a great winter visit in January to a 2 BR 2BA villa in Desert Villas !. Our villa was clean and well equipped. As we had a toddler we used the playground which is a bit small for the size of the property. Other than that we walked over to JW Marriott to eat a couple of times. No doubt our visit was enhanced because we were assisted by a wonderful woman at checkin from Guest Servicdes named Brooke. Brooke was the best person I have encountered in this situation and went above and beyond to make our stay there simply fabulous. I hope she is recognized by Marriott for her competence and kindness.
My husband and I took our two kids, both in their early-20's, as a late Christmas gift. We had a very good time. However, the resort is quite sleepy. There is no night life at all for the younger guests. We had a 2 bedroom booked, which was a full condo and a separate suite for them. We had everything we could possibly need for our comfortable night stay, however, there is zero housekeeping. We were given enough whatever we needed by sending a simple text. This was our third visit to this property and we won't hesitate to return.
We had the most amazing stay at Desert Springs I. From the moment we checked in we were treated with the best hospitality. All of our requests were honored and the staff went above and beyond during every interaction. The property grounds are meticulously cared for and were an absolute pleasure to walk. Our villa was in building L. The only thing that I wished for was that the 2nd bedroom was accessible from the main villa but other than that our stay was perfect. There is plenty of nearby shopping and the location was central to a lot of our excursions. The renew stretch and yoga classes at The Shade were really excellent! We can’t wait to go back to Palm Desert and Desert Spring Villas. Thank you for the memories ✨
Loved this property!! Felt very safe with the gated security and the patrols. We walked over to the JW Marriott along the path. Took about 5 minutes. It is well lit and even in the dark was not a problem. I also really liked that there was laundry detergent and dishwasher tabs in the unit. Our suite was ground level and had a beautiful view of the golf course.
We stayed in a downstairs one bedroom villa overlooking the golf course facing the JW Marriott resort. Spacious unit with two patios, all the amenities we needed, comfortable, clean, elegant decor and quiet location. We rode bikes through the property and over to the big resort to look around and took the shuttle at night for dinner over there. A few minor maintenance issues but didn't spoil our stay. Would stay again.
We had a great stay at this property! Beautiful modern and renovated room in building S. Nice view of the mountain and the golf course. The team was very nice and super helpful. No complaints! From Peter (GM) to Angel (Manager) and the rest of the customer service team everyone was always available and super nice. We will be back! Only downside: golf courses on the property are highly overpriced. $180 for round of golf per person for a resort course is not acceptable, even in PS.
Yes, I start this review off by saying it's a timeshare property in Marriott's Vacation Club so status is ignored and you don't have housekeeping. That helps to manage expectations. My husband and I attended for 10 days during the hot days of summer and got a fantastic rate for a 1 bedroom villa overlooking the golf course. The kitchen was stocked, the washer/dryer worked great, the internet was very reliable, and they had smart TV's for streaming. The amenities of the fitness classes were great and we took full advantage. Parking was easy and lots of covered parking for the warmer days. It was a great option for my husband and I. We both work remotely and needed ample space and fast internet for that (which we had). I can't speak to what it's like for a family, but for two adults it was wonderful and we can't wait to go back when we see prices dip down.…
