Stayed one night. Overall quiet location (my room was facing away from the street).
Spacious, clean room. Room amenities included coffee maker, microwave and fridge.
Comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom with everything in working order, standard toiletries. Good water pressure in the shower.
Easy parking. Good wifi.
Need improvement:
- Very loud heating unit, which intermittently vibrated like a sledgehammer. Unfortunately it was too cold to sleep with the heat turned off. The bed only had a thin blanket and no extra blankets were provided.
- Inconveniently located power jacks - none near the desk; there were two under the desk, already occupied by lamp and coffee maker.

Stayed one night. A bit difficult to see from the highway but still very close to Highway 1 and the ocean. Management lives on site and the rooms where very clean. Only complaint was that the elevator needed servicing and the permit was over two years past expiration. Good stay overall. Use the stairs and get some exercise. Great for the price and area. Will stay there again.

You get what you pay for. The hotel was just below average in terms of cleanliness. I got a room facing the freeway so it was noisy, and the bed was not very comfortable. The maids did not do a good job of checking the room inventory. There was not TV remote, but the manager did manage to find one that worked. The microwave and fridge were unplugged. When checking in on the ground floor, I was a little put off by some patrons exiting their smoking room which smelt highly suspicious.

Front desk was very neat and clean. Clerk was friendly and informative! Room was nice, comfortable and clean. Don't know how anyone could be dissatisfied with this establishment. The location is within walking distance to the ocean, convenience store, and a cute little sports bar. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to my family and friends.

We stayed there for one night. I do not have a computer, but we do have pictures of the filthy conditions of this room. Having to plug my husband's CPAK in that night for his Sleep Apnea, we had to move the bed slightly from the wall. There was tons of hair, food, trash, hair clips, crumbs, wrappers, etc. behind the bed. The floor next to the bath tub was cracked and pieces of the tile were missing. The wall had obvious water damage. The room stank terribly. The floor in the room was completely stained and hadn't been vacuumed before our arrival. The stove had food in the liner upon check in. We did not cook at this hotel.

Do not recommend that ANYONE stay at this Howard Johnson. The health department should check this place out. They would shut it down in a minute.

Stayed here for two nights. Rooms were neat and clean. It is close to the city and beaches. The management (Carlos) was very helpful. For the money it is a nice place and I will be staying here again.

Needed a place to stay by San Fran that was not outrageous in price. We headed out of town a ways and saw the exit to Pacifica, took it an came upon this motel. We took the chance even though it was not a name we recognized. Not new or fancy but our room was large with two queen beds and clean. Plenty of towels and had an elevator right close to our room. It worked every time and we used it a lot. Plenty of outlets on the walls for recharging all of our phones, laptops and mifis. Nothing hot for breakfast but plenty there to have a healthy breakfast. We only booked for one night at the beginning but decided to stay and play an extra day in San Francisco so booked the same room for the next night. We found the manager to be very accommodating and he was always there if we needed something, which we did not except for more coffee for the next morning. It is so nice and close to everything...I would definitely stay there again. If you are traveling far from a hustle and bustle city you probably could get this type of room for $65.00 at the senior rate but for being that close to San Francisco, it was a great place to use as our base.

The room I stayed in had mold around the windows--a lot of it. The heater didn't work. The carpet was badly stained. The tub/shower had nothing to prevent slipping, or to hold on to if you lost your balance. The bathroom was generally discusting. The attendant seemed to pretent that he didn't understand English. The worst place I've ever stayed, and for $100.

First of all, it was the least expensive hotel in the area at $105!! The room was supposed to be non-smoking but when I went inside, all the windows were open and the place smelled like an ashtray!. The sheets were old and had rips and holes in them and the whole place was very filthy. Interestingly, there was an ABVI guide book in the room that rated this particular hotel "the best of the best"! I couldn't imagine what the lower rated hotels would be like. Avoid this chain like the plague!

Clean, secure parking, we Uber ride to San Francisco for about$30. Breakfast started later than anticipated and we didn't get any which was part of the reason for picking them.
Kids running and yelling in hallways but it was Halloween.
