Mr. Curtis, as we have previously discussed, we are so very sorry to hear about your need to cancel your visit to Monterey and your reservation during Monterey Car Event Week. Considering the cancellation policy you agreed to when booking your room was 48 hour cancellation, we have been considerate and accommodating to you and your wife by not charging the full amount due (as per our right). Thankfully the storm that hit southern California was much milder than predicted.

Hotel's Favorite
Boutique hotels like this one are the only place you get a unique experience. The trellis flowers, the bright pink bogavia flowers welcomed us as we entered the property. We were welcomed as we walked in and asked for a room. We had been to three branded hotels on either side and the rooms smelled and they looked like every other typical hotel. The employees did not even wait on us. Our room at the Inn at1252 had a jacuzzi and a king bed. The sheets were clean and crisp and we had a refrigerator for our medicine and food from the restaurant on Cannery Row, just down the street. We loved the wineries and the Mission as well. I loved the convenient lite healthy breakfast. The day we were checking out I noticed the convenient paper towel dispensers on the wall in the corridor to wipe our car windows. The staff were very accommodating. Since Covid we noticed when we travel that many businesses struggle with employee shortages and supply shortages. Here we did not feel that. I will make this our home as it is so close to all the attractions and the mall and the water without the high prices of a brand. I didn’t mind paying a few dollars more for this boutique experience where the staff was friendly. Best thing ever is to always call the hotel and book direct as the give the best rooms available because when you book through online travel sites they charge hotel high commissions and it’s hard for the hotel to help with changes. Last thing, to get the best value ask for an early check in if they weren’t full and you get to drop off your luggage and enjoy the day instead of waiting till 4 pm. It is so worth the extra cost❤️ . Pillows and bed were both comfy. Motel is basic but clean, and appears to have been recent remodeled. Parking is close to your room if not right outside. DelMonte Shopping center is walking distance.

Checked in. Weird room with 3 queen beds and with bird poop all over the walkway to the room. Phone was dead. TV didn’t work. No hot water. No internet service. Oh, and the cost was $500 a night because it was during the Pebble Beach car show. Everything was eventually fixed, but not without a lot of time spent.

Very good stay. We only spent one night, the bed is very comfortable, the entire room was clean and appeared to be renovated recently. Only 30 minute drive to Bixby Bridge (highly recommend) and very convenient to the Wharf and shopping / restaurants.

This place was great for the price. Beds were comfy. Pool was warm, which was a plus! Especially if you have kids. Power went out on our 3rd day, we waited it out for a couple hours, but then proceeded to the front desk. They were wonderful in accommodating us into their sister hotel which wasn’t too far. All at no charge.. they have room cleaning only on the 3rd day. But were very quick when we asked for more towels. Tried out the fitness room, small, but I only needed it for the treadmill. Will definitely stay again!

This place is a dump. It’s extremely loud people were up all night long the doors slam hard we found a few bugs in the room which grossed me out and there was a tip envelope right there when we walked in the first night will never stay here again.

The bed we slept on was a little uncomfortable because the bed was too, too firm. We had trouble sleeping one of the nights we stayed, so we stayed up watching television all night till we finally asleep.

Very old. Lots of leaves, garbage on ground near rooms and parking lot. Room size varied. We had three people and room so small. Rest of family with three had bigger room with sofa, big bathroom. Never offered us a choice.

Very clean and comfortable. Staff is so quick to respond to requests. The location is perfect. Easy to get to downtown Monterey, Pacific Grove, Point Lobos, and Carmel. Plenty of restaurants within a 15-20 minute walk.
