Hotel sparkling clean and new looking! Slept well which is normally difficult for me. I was handed 4 bags of chips and 4 waters for being a diamond member. Breakfast was solid compared to most continental buffets. 3 Diamond member parking spots a nice touch!
This was a great location for a quick getaway to Monterey. It is right in front of the Monterey Coastal Trail, a bike/pedestrian path that goes all the way to Pacific Grove. We brought our bikes and were able to ride down to the old wharf in about 20 minutes and 40 minutes down to the Aquarium. Walking it took us about 45 minutes or so to get to the wharf area. It was nice to not have to deal with parking and the weather was great for walking/biking with layers. The staff was super friendly and our room was clean and modern. The breakfast was fine, standard Hampton Inn fare with eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal etc. as well as the very popular waffle machine. Definitely a great place to stay in this beautiful area.
Expensive for below par. Had problems with the shower during the trip but couldn’t switch rooms because fully booked (only either super hot or super cold). Started as $540 for two nights after tax and dog fee but somehow ended up $640. Locations not great there a pond you can walk to that has a bunch of hobos. Breakfast mediocre, no microwave in room, air conditioning is janky, pillows all soft on a creaky bed make for minimal sleep. It just wasn’t good value for money and I wish I hadn’t gone there.
Good location and very clean room Felt safe and comfortable In a Great size room. Staff friendly and helpful. Complementary breakfast make my children happy to make their own waffles. Free parking unlike most other hotels in the area. Recommend this hotel
I work in hospitality and I recognize its challenge and I stayed at this hotel over the weekend because my mom lives here in town and we were visiting her. everything is great about this hotel, i was able to check in a little early which was nice. the room was really nice and the bed was really comfy and the breakfast was good. but the location was amazing. i am already booked to come back for the next 2 months and i am looking forward to it. thank you again
We traveled the coast of Northern CA, staying in Hamptons along the way and this one was my least favorite. I'll start with the good...the location is convenient to local attractions, parking was easy and the check in was smooth. Our room was roomy and clean. But it did not have a microwave like all other Hamptons. The bad...the amenities at this Hampton fell short of all others. There isn't coffee/hot water available throughout the day. The "fitness center" was a joke...basically a tiny room with one treadmill and one elliptical- no weights at all. There is no guest laundry on site. Breakfast was comparable to other Hamptons. Overall, we had a decent stay for the two days we were there but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer.
We stayed here for one night and had an ok stay. The location is pretty convenient to visiting the local attractions. The hotel exterior appears to be older but fortunately the rooms were updated with modern furnishings. The bathroom has a bathtub for those who prefer that. The breakfast buffet was decent having your typical waffle, continental breakfast fare. The front desk wasn't exactly hospitable when I left or entered the building, for instance no greetings, etc.
Nice clean room, nicely furnished. Good complimentary breakfast. Check in was friendly and easy. Bed mattress was firm, which is good, but felt and sounded cheap, which is bad. You could hear the springs creak.
This is an older facility which shows in decor, but the rooms are very well designed with plenty of useful storage and updated bathrooms and beds. Everything clean and functioning. Hampton Inn breakfasts are OK and this was par for the course. Monterrey has so many great places for breakfast that we didn't bother, beyond looking.
No way to set the fan in room to clock road noise. Clean property and room. Very few snacks / food options in Market area. No microwave in rooms. Dry oatmeal packets only. Free breakfast. Too expensive of a room rate for what you get.
