A very standard inn. Room was spotlessly clean and bed was comfortable, reception staff were great and helpful. However even our top floor room was gloomy and really noisy - aircon sounded like a train, walls paper thin, decor dark and dated, holes in the curtains. water pressure weak, facilities basic. Outside were fire pits / seating with a campsite feel but there are no internal communal spaces or dining on site. An average room for a premium price, with parking on top of that.

Great location and comfortable bed. The reception staff were absolutely fantastic and we thank you for the restaurant suggestions. Not quite as clean as I would have liked with a used tissue behind the tissue box in the bathroom. I could not get the TV to work and there were a few wall plugs dangling from the unit.

Clean and perfectly located. Short walk to Cannery Row and the aquarium. Beds are comfortable. I appreciated having air conditioning. Most hotels in the area seemed to not have AC which may seem unnecessary given the outdoor temps however inside can get stuffy. Rooms have a small refrigerator & Keurig but no microwave. If the motel style set up is concerning you it is important to note that there are gates that require your room key to enter the interior courtyard. Parking on site for extra fee. Was a great place to stay for our week in Monterey!

Great hotel, in a fabulous location in beautiful Monterey! Carol at reception was so helpful at checking in, rooms were clean and well appointed. Only downside would be the water pressure is low. Would definitely book here again, if I’m ever lucky to return to Monterey!

I went on a mother-daughter trip and Wave Street Inn was absolutely incredible! Very attentive staff, super close to the cannery row and aquarium, yet on a very quiet street. Parking on-site for a small fee, comfortable rooms with big beds, and always nice to see a coffee machine in the room! But the best part was an outside fireplace on the second floor of the hotel - absolutely amazing for having a late night chat with a glass of wine :) we’ll definitely come back!

We stayed there for 2 nights early May, 2 adults, 1 kid. Had asked for a room with view of the ocean and on a higher floor, got exactly that :) The welcome receptionist was incredibly nice and helpful. Since the hotel has no breakfast offer, she gave us a little bag of snacks (bars and chips) which was perfect for our day trips. Besides, they have the BEST breakfast place just next to the hotel (Wave street café, their Chorizo eggs benedicts are to die for and they have the best kids breakfasts options!). The room was nice, clean, big. The beds were comfy, TV brand new and a nice Keurig machine is available for coffees. The bathroom was ok - but the water pressure was really too weak. Walls and ceilings are very thin, so lots of noise, prepare to be woken up by other guests early... but that was fine with us, we like to wake up and enjoy the places we visit! On our second day we met with another receptionist and again, he was SO nice and helpful. We always had a little chat when leaving or coming back, received great restaurants recommendations and this made the whole stay like being at a guesthouse. Really great staff! The location is perfect, parking is nice and the firepits at night are also very nice to finish the day and meet other travellers. Would definitely stay there again! (maybe with earplugs :-)…

The wave street inn is a special place for us since we first visited in summer 2020. This time it was where we stayed after I proposed to my fiancé on the 17 mile drive. Upon arrival Carol helped us and John was also amazing with his customer help.

Close to aquarium and across street from cafe with great breakfast. Staff is friendly and they have a fun goody bag at check in. Great outdoor area with fire pits and seating with comfy, clean rooms. Highly recommend for your stay neat cannery row!
