I have stayed in this hotel at least 5 times, and will again this month. Location is wonderful, it is in downtown Los Gatos, and it is so easy to walk everywhere. Front desk staff is helpful. Could do better on breakfast, what is available is basically granola bars and coffee, but with so many good breakfast places nearby, it is fine with me.

Delightfully old fashioned style. Our room was clean and pleasant and we couldn't ask for a better placement in Los Gatos. We originally hoped to stay closer to our Sunday brunch with friends in Aptos, but things were either booked or over the top price wise. The Garden Inn does in fact have nice plantings around its charming collection of rooms. It's also on the Main Street near a museum, numerous restaurants and a walking/biking trail. Town is totally walkable. Unfortunately we were too full for dinner. I'd go back to the Inn just to try out some of the great restaurants! One funny thing. I was thirsty for a coke, but the machine only had drink mix type juices and mixers. No problem, 7/11 is only a few blocks walk away.

My wife and I attended a wedding near Ben Lomond and wanted to stay overnight in the general area after the reception. During peak season the hotel rates are ridiculously high, but the Garden Inn offered a room rate that was far less than half of the other options we could find. The inn has a nice feel to it, almost more like cottages than a conventional hotel or motel. We were in room 42 which was plenty spacious and even had a mini-office that was spacially separated from the main room. The room was clean and in very good condition. It was surprisingly quiet considering that Highway 17 is just a couple blocks away. The lobby is light and well organized and they even put out fruit, granola bars, etc. for light breakfast fare. We were in Los Gatos for a wedding and one of the hotels that had room blocked was the Garden Inn Hotel. It is only given two stars but it was way better then that. I would give it a 3.5 the rooms were clean, a/c ceiling fan, full kitchen, coffee, internet and quiet. We were just a few short blocks from downtown and a 3 minute Uber ride to Tessarosa Winery where the wedding was. Plus the weather was fantastic.

We have stayed here two times, both in the middle of moving to palm springs, we have two collie and both were welcome,have also attended many parties in the patio area this is are go to place to stay! rooms are very nice for a property of this age attention to detail and pride of ownership shows.the grounds are well taken care of and there is even a doggy run area all restaurants are really within walking distance (small town charm)

I just spent a month at the Garden Inn hotel and they provided outstanding service. My room came equipped with a kitchen and was fully stocked with Dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Any thing I asked for or needed the staff was quick to supply or assist me in getting what I needed. Lots of great restaurants all within a short walk. Would most definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Comfortable, quiet, well equipped room, great customer and housekeeping service. Lovely location, lovely patios and gardens. We always stay here when we visit our home town. This is a family run hotel with history. A modest hotel with loads of charm and calm, near to everything. They have great coffee all day long, and around the corner are coffee shops and restaurants, shopping and attractions.

The Lamborghini dealership is across the street and Bentley is next door. But it's just a basic old-school American motel. Rooms are comfy, Internet just fine. No breakfast, but “Southern Kitchen” is just across the street, and is just fine for that.

Nice hotel, great rates considering we are right downtown. We are in town for the weekend to see some wineries. Nice grounds, nice staff free parking and close to walking paths. Rooms are average - but what more do you need to do other then sleep when so much is so close at hand?

I almost hate to share this one! But I'm being selfish -- Obviously it has been discovered, because the hotel was fully booked every night, if parking is any indication! I stumbled onto this retro, old-California style hotel while searching for a place to stay for about a week in order to visit and help some dear friends who were sadly having to sell their large family home for health reasons -- which is where I usually would have stayed any other time. As it turned out, because of Open House events at their own home, my dear friends stayed with ME in my efficiently air-conditioned hotel room here if we had down-time during the hottest part of the days!
