Every staff member I talked to was friendly and professional. The room was good size with a typical business travel setup. Nice lobby. Renovations appear pretty recent throughout. Not much to be done about the LAX related noise. Some mechanical noise if you’re close to the elevators though. Good value for what I paid. Nice people are always a plus after a rough day of travel.

I always appreciate polite, attentive service and tasty food. Starting from the valet parking attendant, to the restaurant host and finally the fantastic lunch. The service was excellent. Whenever I'm in the LAX area, I'll be going back for another bite!

Maria Del Carmen at Valet Sorrento deserves a medal! She arranged a minivan for our large family to Disneyland in a jiffy when the first Uber could not help us when he should have in the middle of pouring rain. We will forever be grateful for her services on our family holiday. Maria was so friendly to us all.

Staying there for one night as directed to that hotel by an airline for delayed flight. The checkin was quick but I was disappointed that the hotel requested security deposit with my card, as what if I did not have a card? It was the Airline who booked and covered our stay at that hotel, not my choice. So the hotel should not ask for my card. Nothing to complain about when it comes to the rooms, except for one towel bearing a small red stain, which was an unpleasant finding. However... we, and few other guests waiting at a Terminal shuttle pickup, had not succeeded in seeing the Sonesta shuttle, and we reached the hotel only by kindness of another shuttle driver, who dropped us by on his route elsewhere. On the next day, when we were waiting for the shuttle at the hotel's front in the morning, I asked a guy in the lobby, who acted as some level manager, when the next shuttle would be coming, and he said that the shuttle would come in 20 minutes , i.e. in 20-minute interval. However, we had to wait for 40-45 minutes! Shuttles from other chains and rentals were passing by, mostly 3 times during that period. So, we were simply lied regarding the frequency. Overall, very bad experience regarding the shuttle service.

Racism is real and this place don’t like black people.. First I travel A LOT. This was my first time traveling and staying at this brand of hotel. My travel group just got off the carnival cruise line and I wanted to spend another day in Cali to explore more. I checked in with no issues. Lady asked for my ID and I use my Apple Pay for the security deposit. THE TWO GENTLEMEN THAT HOLD YOUR BAGS FOR YOU ARE AMAZING. They gave me great service BUT EVERYONE ELSE TERRIBLE INCLUDING MANAGEMENT. This is why 1. We hit the city to explore right after I checked in. Later that night around 7 or 8 my best friend comes back to the hotel. However she don’t have a key. I called the front desk 5 times couldn’t get anybody on the phone. So tell my best friend you are on the booking with me as a guest just show your ID and get another key. She was hassled a little but eventually she got it. 2. I get back to the hotel and need another key because one of my friends is coming over to get dress. This where the terrible customer service starts again. Young lady tells me she can’t find my name in the system. I give her my ID and she still can’t. I give her the confirmation number and she pulls it up. She tells me I can’t get a key because my name not on it. I said my name not on it and I’m the one who booked it, paid for it and I’m the one who came and checked in and originally got the first two keys. She said it’s nothing I can do but my manager over there, go have a seat and he’ll be right over. 3. The manager comes all nice at first then I explain the situation. He can’t find my name as well. I give him the reservation number. Pull up says the same thing. I tell him check the cameras I checked in solo with my id. I showed him the confirmation email, the payment receipt email., I even showed him my active key that I had. I showed home the payment receipt and receipt I did for the deposit. He said I can’t get a key unless my friend WHO I ADDED as a guest comes with her ID to get a key. I ask for a refund of my money he said no he can’t do that. SO YOU CAN TAKE MY MONEY AND MY RESERVATION BUT I CANNOT GET ME A KEY-_-. He was extremely unprofessional 4. I had to call my friend down stairs. He asked me to move so he can help someone else. I said no because I paid just like all these white folks and I deserve just as good of service. He moved to another computer and called over the white guest with a smile. 5. Once my friend got down here She told the manager I was the main party and I was the one who checked in not her. The manager apologized to her then gave her the key and not me. Then I asked him is she the only person that gets an apology. He threw his hands up and walked away. YOU CANNOT PAY ME TO EVER STAY WITH THIS BRAND EVER AGAIN I SWEAR. For the amount they cost this brand customer service is terrible

My $400 was taken because wine was on the bedsheet I called to speak to the manager when I was transferred to the manager he told me that he was not on duty when I was checked out , so he can’t help me . I have to call back to speak with the other manager, so I just lost my $400 for some wine on the bedsheet, never staying back there ,

Terrible experience in this hotel. We were stuck in this hotel because of all the flight cancel due the emergency of Alaska Airlines. For start, the shuttle took forever to pick us up meanwhile Marriot, Holiday Inn and Hyatt were picking passengers really fast. When we arrive 0 explanation in front desk about breakfast included or not. United gave us 3 vouchers for $15 and only breakfast was around $45, obvious no dinner or lunch with this amount. By the way when we change this vouchers in front desk they gave us less than the amount and when we complain 0 regrets. When we ask a questionaire where to complain, they look at each other saying you can send an email. How is possible an hotel like this dont have something available for customers to complain so I told her don't worry I will post it on social network. Also when we arrive at the restaurant for breakfast they weren't staff at front receiving people after 20mins we serve ourselves on buffet and food wasn't that great . Please reconsider training your staff how to be friendly specially in moments like this. In the plane we heard better reviews how other hotels manage the situation.

The hotel was clean, staff at front desk friendly, room service breakfast was good, and things were close by. My only issue is the deposit is 100 per night, which was fine but, it would have been nice to know ahead of time. My main concern was the lack of security. I put the “do not disturb” sign on and two days straight, and housekeeping (or someone) still entered my room,. Things were moved around and my iPad was stolen from the table and my belongings rummaged through. I have never had this happen at a hotel in my entire life. As a U.S. diplomat, I would never expect something like that to happen in the USA. This will deter me from utilizing this hotel ever again.

I used Sonesta's long term parking when flying out of LAX. When I arrived, I pulled up to lobby valet and I was able to check my car in immediately. The hotel/airport shuttle says it comes around every 20 minutes but luckily for me; it only took 5 minutes. However, what took their service over the top was when i had an important but unusual request. When I was out of town, I needed my odometer reading for my car insurance. I called the phone number on my claim ticket and was connected to Jona in concierge/valet. I explained my situation and he had no hesitation on helping me. Within 20 minutes, I got a call back with my information. Thank you so much Jona and Sonesta for going over and beyond for customer service!
