We stayed for 2 days and originally booked a twin western room. On arriving the view from our room was that in the photo. There was nothing mentioned on Expedia or the hotel website about the extensive building work being done at the hotel.
The noboribetsu grand hotel stands moungst several hotels offering same service, hot spring baths. Although this hotel appears very popular going by the bus loads of people coming and going every day.
