Great Location, but in Flightpath of LAX. Also building is dated, needed some desperately needed TLC & Cleaning. Sidewalks are stained, trash throught exterior of building, bring earplugs if you stay here, because of Airport & street noise. Rooms are decent, no coffee, but microwave & mini fridge. Window would not open to let air in, but found dead flies on window sills. If your looking for cheap sleeps, this is the place, just be forewarned of conditions

There is no shuttle service to or from this hotel, however you can take the 117 bus during the day. After departing the LAX City Bus Center, sit near the front of the bus and after politely greeting the driver, ask them to let you off at Century & Prairie. If your flight arrives after midnight, a taxi is gonna cost 19 bucks. Might as well put that towards a place with a free bus, closer to the airport and likely better overall. If you're into gambling, the Hollywood Casino and racetrack are across the road. Win some money and check into a classier place!

The area is really not that bad. There are a few characters about, and Dr. Dre warned you that Inglewood is "always up to no good", but you'd have to go at least past Crenshaw Blvd. to start seeing some traditional ghetto-ness. There are lots of fast food joints and mini malls within walking distance. Eat before 10 o'clock because there are hardly any options for pedestrians afterwards. For classic sports fans, the Great Western Forum is viewable from the parking lot, about 400 meters up Prairie.

As for the rooms, better than I expected. Spacious, big beds, free wifi and clean bathrooms. TV was old but the facility is being renovated, flat screens must be coming. Shower heads sucked. Staff were friendly despite being trapped behind glass like goldfish. Recommended to those who utilize the Metro bus.

We arrived at this hotel in the evening, the area is very shabby and we were approached for money by a beggar as soon as we arrived. We didnt feel at all safe and were worried about the car being parked out front. The room has no soundproofing and the people next door partied til 3am, the carpet in the room was so dirty that we had to throw away our socks after walking on it for 5 mins. On the plus side the bed was clean and comfortable and there was a small fridge and microwave. If you want to be close to LAX stay a few miles further away in the Furama, its cheap and it feels a lot safer

I stayed 3 weeks(yes three weeks) at the Rodeway Inn-Ingelewood recently and I had a very enjoyable stay at this motel. I had a smoking room which was clean and fresh when I arrived, there was no foul odor as some others have mentioned, so I don't know about that. Also the bed sheets and bedspread were fine , no problems at all. The staff was pleasent and friendly and could not have been more helpful(towels etc). As far as the area around the hotel is concerned, I travel to L.A. five to six times a year and always stay in the Inglewood area (Rodeway Inn, Ramada LTD, Econolodge etc) and I have never had a problem, no has ever looked at me crosseyed and I walk to the McDonalds and Church's Chicken, Burger King etc.. I also like the fact that there is a major shopping center just a ways down Inglewwod Bivd. Granted it is not Beverly Hills but all of the folks I have interacted with have been friendly and helpful. I think some people make too many negative comments about the area without really knowing it that well. The Inglewood Police are also very polite and helpful especially to tourist and business travelers and they maintain a high presence.
And finally about the noise from the jets that some people complain about, well what do you expect when you are less than 5 miles from LAX , I personally never even noticed the jet noise.
All in all this a very decent motel I will stay here on my next trip to L.A.......Robert

I stayed in the dump for 2 nights and now we have bed bug bites. As they come out at night and bite up your body, however we were lucky enough to see a couple our last morning there but seeing as how we have never in our life seen them before we didn't know what they were. But now we have bites and bites on our bodies a complaint has been made but they claim they didn't see anything. Maybe it was one of the drug dealers or prostitutes that frequent there.. Beware of this place its in the Hood!

On my first trip to LA, I had my son book me a hotel on-line. When I got here, I knew that it was God's hands that lead me here...

For I was so afraid because I did not know LA and God lead me here to keep me safe.

I found it so safe and welcoming, so serene for this area. It was very clean. I find the same on this my second visit to Rodeway Inn, Inglewood, CA. The open air facility makes the hotel feel so peaceful and quiet. The service and hospitality of the staff is so commendable. They are there to assist and answer all the questions you have. I will continue to come back to this hotel when ever I have to be in LA.

I booked this to go to a concert at the forum. That was about the only thing that was good about the hotel. It really is just a 2 star hotel. Its clean enough on the surface but I noticed my carpets had not really been vacuumed. The room itself smelled stale. I couldn't tell if it was old smokers rooms covered up with chemicals but as I was only there for one night I wasn't going to have to endure too much. The facilities in the room were reasonable with fridge, flat screen and microwave. The bathroom was reasonably clean also. However the carpet under the sink was wet. Likely wouldn't opt to stay here again but there are minimal options in the area.

Just enough for the price, I can't complaint . My room was clean, big and comfortable, call and ask for the price before you book on the web. The area doesn't look nice but if I want to go to a nicer area I have to pay more and it wasn't it my budget . It was its own parking, I recommend you to park your car all the way down, not close to the street.

We enjoyed our stay at the Rodeway Inn on Century Blvd., Inglewood, CA
(near LAX) on 10/13/2004. This Rodeway Inn is an older property, which is why I give it three rather than four circles, but the rooms are large and it has been nicely refurbished. It is back from the road, and very quiet for the area. We enjoyed the comfort of pillow-top mattresses and the simple continental breakfast they offer. This was our third stay at this hotel, and we plan to stay there again whenever we have an early morning flight out of LAX. It is hard to beat the price for what you receive.

Overall my experience was great!

After reading several reviews about this place being dirty, unsafe, 'would never stay here', I was very worried I made a mistake when booking this. People were saying don't stay here more than 1 night and the area was really rough.

Please let me reassure you that this isn't true! I was so surprised to be welcomed and stay in a nice room. The beds were very comfortable, spacious room (twin room), clean, fresh towels. Yes the area is loud as it's by a busy road and planes fly over every now and then. If you're really bothered by the noise, bring ear plugs!

As for the area, I was scared about leaving my car in the car park but after checking in and realising that we were not in a really unsafe area of Inglewood, I felt fine. It's true you shouldn't probably walk around alone at night. Have a rental car or take Ubers. The hotel is on the main road which leads straight LAX. The area was fine!

I stayed there with a friend for 1 week and it was great. We didn't have the funds to stay in any other hotel and I would happily stay there again as it was cheap.

We were doing things everyday and were only in the hotel to sleep. I think it's great if you want to stay in LA and don't have that much money.

There was free wifi but it didn't work. I could have asked Reception but I was fine just using my mobile data

Room Tip: Twin room is very spacious. Second floor is quieter but I don't think you can choose that

I didn't have any issues with safety however I am from NYC so It wasn't anything for me to be worried about. If you are shook though, take an Uber. Either way you should be good.
