Too many stars given recently?I would give more, the TWO I give is for the BAR,and the Restaurant which is Super and the Coral Trout beyond belief,BAR Staff brilliant and price for Drinks very reasonable, but that's it,the rest Pool not good at all for elderly no hand rail to get in or out,the Cabin well SMALLEST I have ever stopped in,no hot water in the toilet sink, not even Plumbed in to the tap, floors not really cleaned and the Air extractor filthy never been cleaned in just months, absolutely poor house keeping,no towel ,sheet changes whist we stayed.its a lovely location a pity it's being run on a shoestring.keep the chef and your Italian bar man, they a good at their Job.change the REST.and sort out your useless WIFI .
Awesome little spot about 45 minutes north of Airlie . Gorgeous drive thru the cane fields and arrived at this pub right on the water . Lovely casual lunch with access to the pool for a dip. I reckon this is a must do when in Airlie . Loved this day out and def recommend
We stumbled across Cape G Resort while exploring Hydeaway Bay on a day trip from Airlie Beach. Breath taking beach - clearest of clear blue waters Cafe & Bar buzzing with morning tea & residents enjoying late Breakfast. We continued on our Day trip to Bowen but returned to Cape G resort for cocktails & sunset. Now booking to stay there in March 2022. A little secret hideaway at Hydeaway !!
This place is nothing short of amazing. Was recommended to us by a friend who used to live up this way, and wouldn't have known about it otherwise. Free use of onsite pool for day guests with a bar that's open from 10am. Right on the beach and so peaceful. Felt so relaxed after we left. It's about 50kms from Airlie so perfect for a day trip, planning our next trip to stay at the resort for a few days!!
Most reviews seem to be day trippers. The property looks run down & maybe new owners? Can’t argue about the views as they are fantastic. We were so excited about staying as we found this spot back in June, so for 4 months we couldn’t wait to go back & stay. Unfortunately our arrival date was a public holiday, we were charged a higher rate although the bar was CLOSED, the bistro was CLOSED & the pool was filthy. Only 4 sun beds around pool. We were told there was a bbq for our use due to closed bistro, OMG it was filthy & needs to be replaced. We did love our room, think it was called a Studio which was very comfortable & only negative was the TV was up too high. We were going to stay again on our way home but decided against it. All in all we were disappointed, it was okay, don’t think I’d stay agin but would go for lunch as the food was good. Oh, the reason they were closed was their staff needed a well deserved break, I think they didn’t want to pay them the penalty rates, you should of seen how many people turned up for lunch that day & were disappointed it was closed.…
