We had never been to Fresno before, so it was important for us to get a good hotel where we felt safe. We are glad we found the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fresno. We had a great stay!
From the check-in, to the rooms and accommodations, to the breakfast and checkout, everything met or exceeded our expectations. The breakfast included several different options, everything was very clean, and we enjoyed the food.
We will definitely stay here again!

In a time when great customer service is all but a distant memory, Not at this hotel!! The Staff is Fantastic as always!! Always making sure that our needs are taken care of and our accommodations were excellent!!
I also have to say that I am a bathroom snob LOL!!
One of the first things I look for when potentially booking a stay at a Hotel Or Resort, is how clean, modern and well appointed the bathrooms are!! I look for mold, mildew stains, etc and if I see them I won't book the Hotel! The bathrooms at this Hotel were also squeaky clean!!
We are always impressed by the clean beautifully appointed rooms and healthy breakfast choices! Absolutely wonderful! I really only had one minor complaint and that was, the oatmeal was a little too watery but the rest of the food was quite delicious! This has been my consistent experience, each and every time that I stay at Springhill Suites By Marriot Fresno Ca. I have stayed at a lot of Hotels and Resorts all over the U.S and have experienced "bad" "good" even "great" customer service but I have to say NONE of them can match the customer service we have consistently experienced with this hotel!
What is even more telling, is that some of the other hotels were more expensive and high end but, the customer service was "sub" standard!
Being a former business owner and manager of two health clubs, customer service was always at the top of my list of priorities and I have to give kudos to this hotel, Manager and Staff for their exemplary expertise! It is a hidden gem!
We WILL be back!!

My stay at the SpringHill was really amazing starting at the front desk for check in, their staff was friendly and engaged making sure we have everything right for our stay , the room was really spacious and impecable clean , my stay was short and Im sad I don’t take any pictures but the experience was amazing , the breakfast was really great a lot of great options to choose and also healthy options , the breakfast ladies were great refilling everything and making sure that every guest enjoys the same . I really enjoy my stay at the springhill suites and definitely go back and enjoy a linger stay , great place to stay for a little price with a great service . I give them a 100/100

i haven't even checked out yet but feel obligated to write a review since this has been such a bad experience.
i travel to the area for work every other month and stay at a variety of hotels in fresno, including other marriott properties. unfortunately, this has been the worst stay yet. cleanliness and food safety handling is an issue here. my first night after check in there was a *well used* bar of soap in the shower, white stains on the couch that came from who knows where (my colleague had the same issue in her room), i asked to switch rooms but there were none available, or so they said. i have a hard time imagining this hotel being completely booked out during the week but ok.
breakfast if you're lucky is a moldy muffin keeping the gnats in the pastry case company (no literally, my muffin was moldy), otherwise there's probably not any food available. coffee was all gone by the time i went down at 8 am, they only offer housekeeping every 3 days but don't accommodate with extra coffee, etc. for longer stays, you have to pay for parking but the lot is not even enforced or monitored, and it's an absolute rip off to not even be having the bare minimum standards met. i never write reviews and am not really picky about hotels but this was just terrible, will never be back and for how much marriott's quality has gone down will probably be switching to hilton

I was actually looking forward to giving this hotel a good review, then two things came up.
First, $10 fee for parking in a hotel that is miles away from anything that you could walk to. They're parking lot is not a secure, fenced in lot. There is no entry or exit gate. And it shared with another hotel. Yet they get $10 from you to park your car. Why is the parking rate not just added on to the room charge? The reason, because they can make the room charge appear $10 cheaper than charge 100% of the customers $10 for parking.
The second issue, they make you sign for pool towels. Anyone who's ever traveled to a third world country realizes they take their pool towels very seriously in third world countries. Sometimes you have to literally put down a deposit for a pool towel. At this hotel, you must check out pool towels at the front desk then sign for their return. This means dirty wet pool towels are being carried to the front desk and handled by the desk clerks. What senior manager in their right mind would put into place such a ridiculous procedure.
Any of the positives associated with this hotel are far outweighed by these negatives.
Find another hotel in Fresno. There are plenty that don't charge for parking and that don't make you check out the pool towels.

Dear 7268, Thank you for sharing your experience on your recent stay with us. The $10 parking fee is something we implemented last September and although we currently do not have a gate or fence, we do have security patrolling the area at night. We are trying a different process regarding our pool towels to help ensure we have enough inventory to accommodate all of our guest. Our summer months come with triple digits and our pool is a very popular amenity for everyone. We do provide gloves for our front desk to use when handling used towels as well as a hand washing station located in our back off area. Thank you again for sharing your experience. We stayed at the Fresno Springhill Suites in mid to late March 2024, as my son was competing in a regional swim meet in Clovis. We drove from San Jose and checked in fairly late in the evening, and we wanted to get to bed right away, as we had an early morning the next day. Upon pulling out the under sofa trundle, we were greeted by not only a mattress covered in food crumbs and hair, but a dirty pair of underwear! I called the front desk, but was put on hold, and after waiting 10 minutes, I decided to just go downstairs and speak to the front desk. The gentleman working was very friendly and professional, but he couldn’t do anything because the hotel was full, they didn’t have any spare mattresses, and housekeeping had gone home for the day. I asked if they had a vacuum cleaner, and he said no, that it was with housekeeping. So the only thing he could offer were some additional sheets and blankets to cover the mattress with, and he said he would make notes in the computer and that I could follow up with management during the day. My wife and I put on some gloves and used Lysol wipes to clean the mattress the best we could, but it was still filthy, so we ended up wrapping the sofa cushions in the spare sheets and blankets, and my son slept on top of the sofa.
We never had a chance to speak to management, because we had to be at the pool all day, and checked out very early on the final day of our stay. Disappointing that no one reached out to us.
We also didn’t get housekeeping on the second day of our stay, in spite of the website advertising every other day cleaning. On the third day, I inquired, and was told that we had to request housekeeping.
Finally, I would say that the website makes the rooms look a lot nicer than they are in reality, mainly because the bathroom areas have been somewhat updated (with an illuminated mirror), but the room still felt pretty old and dingy. Our bathroom door was misaligned and had to be forced open and closed.
Parking is also $10/night, which seems like an unnecessary up-charge, given the huge parking lot shared with the other hotel on the property.
Would not stay here again, and would not recommend.

Usually we have great stays at Marriott”s, but I would not recommend this one. We made our reservations a month in advance for a king suite but we were given a wheel chair accessible room instead. We were told the only difference was a bar in the shower, however, it was MUCH different than the room we had booked and not for the better. On top of that, the window shade was broken and stuck in the open position (we were on the ground level facing the parking lot), the shower dripped ALL night, and the closet door was stuck. In the morning I requested we get moved to the room we originally booked, but were told they were full, despite the fact we booked a month earlier. When I mentioned all of the broken things in the room, he said their maintenance staff had quit 2 weeks ago and so nothing was getting fixed. It doesn’t seem like this hotel is managed very well and I would not recommend it, the only bright side was the two friendly breakfast staff workers.

This was truly one of the best stays we have had for our family of 5–and we love to travel! Not only was the room well set up to accommodate us with two double beds and two kids on the couch pull out, but the breakfast was by far the best part. So many options, to include wonderfully healthy and fresh options, we were able to not only rest well but be fed well before continuing on in our road trip. We were impressed not only by the selection of food, but the cleanliness of the buffet area and friendliness of the staff both upon arrival and during breakfast time. Thank you for a wonderful overnight visit to break up our 6hr road trip! It was the perfect stay!

This was the perfect hotel for our high school baseball team. The location was very central, close to restaurants and shops, and remodeled rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was perfect for our team before games. The sales staff was super helpful in setting up the room block for the players and families and even arranged for us to be able to use the conference room for team meals/meetings. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful and accommodated our every request. Highly recommend!

This is the second time I have stayed at this location. I would continue to come back and stay here each time I visit Fresno. The location is a side street away from Herndon, which means it is close to a major thoroughfare, but a slight distance away from the noise. It is tucked away next to another hotel, which I like because there is less noise, congestion and traffic. There is a CVS and Chili's nearby and can be walked, but is a good long walk. The hotel is currently undergoing remodeling, workers are around, but it did not impact my stay at all. The fourth/top floor is unavailable. The rooms are nice and are a suite, with a small kitchen and living area, adjacent to the bedroom. The lobby area is large and there is breakfast available each morning. The pool area looks nice and redone, though I have not used it. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
