Out flight plans had us arriving to Fresno too late to drive into Yosemite, so we decided to take a night to rest and then stop at Target to stock up on snacks in the morning. It's a pretty unassuming place but we found it to be very clean, the free breakfast was great, and the location was just where we needed it to be. Friendly staff as well.
Checking in was easy and the receptionist went to other floors to find us a cart to bring in our items. She said they only have two. They really need more for a hotel this size, especially during a holiday travel week. Our room was on the third floor and the laundry on the second. The con, there is only one wash machine and one dryer for the whole hotel. The dryer was marked both $1.50 and $2 (it's $2), and the washer marked $1.50 but it was $2. It's not a big deal as you know if you have to add more or not and I planned on $2 for each. Someone who looks before going may only bring enough for how it's marked. There is no time for how long it takes so I averaged 35 minutes for the wash machine and 45 for the dryer. It worked out. The room was nice, beds comfortable, and plenty of coffee for morning. The TV was in an odd place. Only the bed in front could see it well. If sitting on the sofa, you couldn't and the other bed would have to turn the TV to an angle making it odd for the other bed to see. Having fan noise would have helped with the street noise but the unit would turn on and off and wouldn't allow a fan to run. I will stay there again with the plan of a small fan for white noise. The TV isn't that big of a deal for us since we don't watch it much. It's very clean and pleasant employees.…
This hotel is adequate for the price they charge but the location is not the greatest, and there is little food choice at the hotel. It was clean and ok for a one night stay. There are several nice restaurants within a mile or two.
My plane from Los Angeles arrived in late afternoon, so after picking up my friend and having dinner, we checked into Comfortable Inn and Suites for its location. You see, we were going to drive to Santa Cruz do the next morning, after a continental breakfast at the hotel, we checked out and headed to the ocean.
There was plenty of room here for our family of five. Nice, clean rooms in a good location. It's actually adjacent to a Costco so we walked over to Costco for a cheap, easy dinner the night that we stayed here. Good value for the money. Plenty of easy parking.
These days I'm prioritizing hotels that are getting reliable comments on covid compliance. This Choice Hotel also is in a good location i.e. easy to get to, near Costco, Target, grocery store, better odds of a safe neighborhood. It was in my budget so picked it for 1 night and am very pleased. Polite staff, very clean room/elevator/common area. Free hot breakfast is available though I just had coffee. Well lit parking lot is a plus and cool enough in evening so I could keep my window open. There's some highway noise with window open but I slept great. Bed is comfy and cable TV and water pressure were both great. Checked all the boxes. This is a solid value for this category hotel and I'd stay again.
I was Evacuated from my home on September 6 2020 . When I arrived the front desk was wonderful. Patrick the front desk manager has been really great along with the rest of the front desk staff. When I got in the room it was spotless the Housekeeping staff does a really great job. Edith has been great at making sure we have everything we need. The Breakfast is really good to they use real eggs and the girl working is there has also been wonderful.
Kevin Lee J wrote a review 2 contributions Not so much comfort at Comfort Inn and Suites, Fresno, CA. We were evacuated on Monday evening from a fire area in the mountains. We made our way to Fresno and stopped first at Comfort Inn (the name drew me in because we were so nervous and stressed from being evacuated). It was close to 9 pm. I walked to the desk, and as soon as the 'agent' was ready to acknowledge my presence, I told her we had been evacuated from the fire area and did they have any rooms available for a family of three adults? "uh...huh..." was all I got. I gave her my license and atm card and she said: "we don't take that card." "Ok, I'll use cash." "We don't take cash." Lovely. So compassionate; so professional...so unacceptable. Because of the time of day and the fact I had my elderly parents with me that I wanted to settle for the night, I used a credit card and that was that. No copy of anything was offered or given me; just an ugly little brown envelope with the room key. When I opened the door to the room, I was greeted with warmth and a severe musty smell. Obviously the room had not been used for a while. The carpet was filthy. The room, overall, was such that, to someone who appreciates a clean home, knew that the room had not been cleaned in a while, probably since the last guest had checked out quite some time before. The water faucet in the tub was frozen and had to be manhandled to get the water turned on, which I had to do in the presence of "her" so that I would not be told I had broken something, should the faucet break. When I first alerted her to the faucet issue: "well, I guess I'll have to move you." Mold on the underlip of the toilet bowl. Sleep that night, in comfort? Oh no. Hardly a wink of sleep...partially due to this person's inability to be anything but selfish, self-centered, and totally and inappropriately unprofessional. As luck would have it, the next morning I heard that we could go home so I quickly canceled the second night that I had paid for. The gentleman who was at the desk was more than 800 degree different than his counterpart the night before. I have never left a hotel as fast as I did...and I will most decidedly never go back.…
This review comes in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, so all facility options may not have been available and occupancy certainly lower than normal. Regardless, this is a nice clean and quiet hotel. The gentleman at the desk was very nice...quick and easy in and out. Breakfast was available starting at 5am, which is nice for getting an early start. Typical offerings of waffle, eggs, sausages/bacon, biscuits/gravy, toast and other standard pre-packaged items provided good variety. Nice to have a couple of beers on the house with my takeout dinner. Room was smallish but clean and comfortable. No complaints all around.
Nice clean place and good facilities. The room is spacious . The laundry has only one washer and one dryer though . Wifi a bit weak and drop off easily . Other than that great place as it is located quite near to river park shopping complex and Denny’s is just beside walking distance.
