The Rooms at the La Quinta Inn are on 3 Levels accessible from the outside walkway by stairs and elevator and arranged in a U-shape around a nice size outdoor pool. The rooms have either a King or two Double beds are roughly 30m2 in size, are newly remodeled with comfortable beds and bedding, nightstands, closet with hangers, a iron & board, dresser with drawers, a table with chairs to sit or work on with a extra multi power socket incl USB ports. The room has a individual heating / AC unit, 32” cable smart TV, and free wifi. The bathroom, still at it’s original “design” with just a color touch-up and new flooring, has a half open large sink / vanity area with hairdryer and a coffeemaker. Next to it, behind a door is the WC and the bathtub with a shower curtain.
A continental breakfast is included and avbl. daily from 6am in the Lobby’s “living room”. Parking is free and avbl. plentiful around the building. This Motel / Inn works very well, if you stop here in Fresno for a night, while crossing the valley.

This hotel is nice overall. The breakfast could be extended to at least 1030 because it closed at 9am which I felt was to early and you can’t split your bill between cards or some cash which I felt was a huge inconvenience. Besides that it is a nice hotel with check out at 12 which is very nice and the beds where nice

I got a cigarette smelling and two double beds room instead of a clean odorless room with King size bed. The bed was very uncomfortable and I could not sleep well with the bad odor the room had. I actually had to wear a mask because I was getting over a bad case of brochitis.

Upon arrival, we were asked to have a hold placed on our credit card of $100 so we didn’t rip off the television in our room. Odd! Then, we went into our supposedly non smoking room that smelled like cigarette smoke. We noticed the bathroom was absolutely filthy and the toilet was dirty. It was so bad we asked for a refund and found a much better, cleaner hotel.

Homeless/Dirty/Terrible Customer Service!!!
We checked in after midnight on a long road trip to Southern California. The young attendant at the front desk greeted me with his beats headphones on. He was nice enough. We navigated back to the parking lot to locate the best stairwell to our room. The stairwell was littered with trash and smelled of urine. We got to our exterior room door and could barely open it due to the carpet. We forced it open enough to get our luggage through. At first glance the room looked fresh and newly renovated but a closer look revealed dirty sheets and stained mattress. We were exhausted so we attempted to fall asleep anyway. Unfortunately, there was very loud music and chatter coming from outside our door. I called the front desk to let them know and the attendant asked me “what would you like me to do about it?” And I replied with “we are trying to sleep as it is well after midnight and we are paying customers.” He then told me he would inform security once they returned from patrolling. The chatter and noise continued throughout the early morning hours until 5:30 when we finally decided quality sleep wasn’t happening. We packed up and went to check out. The same attendant from when I checked in and spoke to over phone about the noise was there. I informed him again that we had a terrible stay due to the drugged out homeless person sitting outside our door. His response, “That’s downtown Fresno for you.” No apology. No offer to make it right. Nothing. Don’t bother staying here. I would have slept better in my truck and saved the $100+. Date of stay: checked in around 12:15am on 10/18/2020 and checked out 5:45am 10/18/2020.

The Photos tell you what the hotel won't say on their website. My review is regarding what the photos don't capture. In short,

** Stay: May 20 2022 for several days
** Summary: I've been a "La Quinta" member for 20+ yrs and I've never experienced what I experienced at this location. I recommend you read my full review and draw your own conclusion.

Pros:
1) close to the freeways
2) free parking (standard with La Quinta)
3) free breakfast (standard with La Quinta)
4) check in/out did not take long
5) free wifi connection (standard with La Quinta)

Cons:
1) The hotel's recording states that it's remodeled to meet the "La Quinta/Wyndham" standards. The front desk who checked us in said it's not. The only "remodeling" was to the lobby. Rooms were given an accent wall and new sheets, shower/window curtains.
2) The hotel is dingy, borderline filthy inside and out.Not maintained
3) Rooms are not properly cleaned after each stay even if they say they meet "COVID enhanced cleaning".
4) They charge a $100 deposit and the full cost of the room at check in.
5) I rented a non-smoking room; the 1st room smelled like urine, marijuanna, and cigarettes. The bathroom door knob was broken and it took me 5 min to open the door and the air conditioner was broken. The 2nd room had a tub of dirty water, dried urine on the toilet seat, and hair in the sink. The 3rd room was not good. I asked for an upgraded room and the front desk said they were booked. I checked the "Wyndham" site and they were available. It was 11PM and we'd hiked for 14 hrs so I took the 3rd room.
6) The front desk was bothered that I requested several room changes.
7) The breakfast is not as advertised. It was minimal.
8) It's unsafe. When staying we brought everything to the room, out for the day we took everything with us.
9) Filed a complaint with Wyndham who forwarded it to the onsite manager and said they will contact me for a quick resolution. We've not heard from anyone.
10) They overcharged us when we checked out. I had to show them my confirmation for them to correct their price.
11) People yelling in the halls at all hours.

When I first went into the lobby I was completely ignored by the desk clerk. She came out to answer The phone ringing and then went back to hide in the back While I was standing there so I had to call the front desk to get her to come out. I let her know it was me calling because you ignored me standing here she replied “I didn’t ignore you but anyways” completely rude. I noticed the carpet in the seating area was really dirty. The elevator was stuck open and out of order for the two days I was there. There was random splatter marks of who knows what on the walls in my room. A hair on the towels in my room. I felt very unsafe there were men outside smoking at all hours of the night, my room kept filling with a marijuana odor. The only positive I encountered were the housekeeping ladies that were very friendly and helpful. I would not stay here again.

I had a horrible stay at LaQuinta Fresno Yosemite location. First night I check in I was given a room without working heat or air plus the television didn’t work! So I didn’t have tv nor heat or air the first night and it was very cold! I complained to the front desk and nothing cld be done til the next day when I was told maintenance man will fix at 8am. I asked for an extra blanket from the front dest cause of my heater not working and was told the laundry room was locked! Unbelievable, and she didn’t want to switch the room.
Fast forward to the next morning I came down first thing in the morning and reminded staff about the heat and tv. Once again I was told maintenance wld come at 8, it was 7:45am. I waited til 10am for the maintenance guy and he was the Only respectful and Helpful staff member on the property! So thank you to the maintenance guy! He fixed the heater immediately and it took him awhile to give the television but he did it! This is day 2.
Morning of day two I went to get three towels off one of the ladies housekeeping carts and she ran out of a room and snatched the towels out my hands so aggressively I thought my arm was going to fall off! The housekeeper was screaming in Spanish and I didn’t understand, I said I need towels! She said No! Then called another housekeeper over who spoke English which I explained I wanted three towels. She said my Room wasn’t on list to be cleaned! Excuse me it’s Covid-19 all rooms should be cleaned if a guest request it! But she said my room was not on list and I couldn’t have my room cleaned or the towels!
I didn’t understand the issue on why I couldn’t get my room cleaned for the whole three days I was there! And they never gave me clean towels when I asked for them.
That’s not all!!!
Their was a very rude lady who work there name Rebecca who decided to call my phone while I was at breakfast on day 2 at 11:34am to tell me my room wasn’t on the list to be cleaned and their not cleaning my room because I took towel off the housekeeper cart! I couldn’t believe that this lady was calling me at my breakfast with friends and family to tell me I can’t take towels off the housekeeper cart and if I do it again she’s going to kick me off the property! Rebecca went on to tell me she had been working at the hotel for over 15 years and she can do what she wants! Of course we definitely exchange words after her be rude and not knowing how to speak or handle customers
Rebecca was very rude and unprofessional and shld take a class in customer service. She racist and shld not work around others if she can’t deal with all race and be respectful
I will never return to this location
The stairs smelled of pee leading to my room. Their was a lot of homeless ppl around. The room was dirty with stains on the walls carpets bedding.
I bleach down my own room since the housekeeper never cleaned or came to my room my whole entire stay! This hotel is not what you advertise as, completely opposite

I would give this a zero score if I could. We stay at La Quinta Inns a lot and this location does not deserve the name La Quinta. Things are fine when booking and checking in, but once you have the room keys, you are on your own. Requests made to the front desk go unfulfilled and the request ignored.

The pillows are thin and provide no support. We made a request and nothing. We went out and bought our own!

Not enough towels for 2 people. Request made and nothing. We used our own that we brought for swimming (at a competition pool).

We were there for 4 days/3 nights and the room was not serviced. The trash piled up as a result, toilet paper ran out (used our own), soap and shampoo ran out (used our own).

There were urine stains in the breezeways and corridors from people letting their dogs pee outside their rooms.

The ventilation did not work in the bathroom.

This place was more like a fleabag hotel and not a La Quinta.

The good thing was that the bed was comfortable and the TV worked.

The rooms in person do not match up with what is advertised online. I booked 8 rooms at the La Quinta Fresno Yosemite for a conference event and each room had varying problems. My personal room had a lamp with the lightbulb duct taped on, a loose bathroom doorknob that wouldn’t lock, and a loose towel rack that couldn’t hold much weight. Almost every room had problems with their key cards the second day. Finally, if you are needing a room that meets ADA guidelines, this is not the place for you. One of the rooms booked was supposed to be wheelchair accessible, but the shower stool completely fell out from underneath the guest using it. Because of this, the guest suffered an injury. I was able to file an incident report with hotel staff, but have yet to hear back from upper management.

No laundry at this hotel. There used to be a laundromat across the street, now closed. There is a laundromat at the strip mall 3 blocks away next the the big supermarket. (El Super)

From 6:30-9. Better get there early cause it could be pack n you'll end up not getting any foods cause they will start to clean up at around 8:30am. Lack of toast n muffin.
