Friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfortable. The "included" breakfast turned out to be a McDonalds voucher, but that was OK. Good pricing.

Make sure you are in a room close to the Office as further down it appears that the rooms are hired out by the hour????

Rooms wernt bad, king bed, they let us check in at 10am. The riff raff that hang around the hotel are a site though, it looks like some must stay at the hotel. They didn't bother us but it doesn't look good for the hotel. It is right opposite a McDonalds so the pan handlers come out and in the Maccas car park hookers were doing their trade. All made it interesting for us travellers to watch, but I would say would not suit alot of folks, you want to feel safe, we were on the 2nd level, Street level would not have been so good. The rooms were clean, which is a plus.

we should have known...$49 a nite was just too good a deal. The owner is nice East Indian fellow--very polite who showed us a relatively clean room. He wsa happy to accomodate our small dog, so I paid him and we checked in. Little did we know that the place changes as the sun wanes.

Rooms come complete with hookers openly standing in the doorways, lots of junkies, pimps in nice cars every two hours, a barred liquor store across the street, and a horde of homeless folks who live in lean-tos attached to the side of the hotel. Got hit up for cash three times in the parking lot. Needless to say, our nice Lexus loaded with our gear and sporting with tourist plates was quite an attraction as the gang waited for our lights to turn off.. Couldnt possibly sleep, so we departed at 8PM for the 5 hour stretch to PD and saw four ( yes four) police arrersts within one block of our abode. Strolled in to PD at 1AM tired, but happy to be here with another lesson learned.

My seven year old daughter wanted to swim in the pool before bed. We went down to the pool, where 2 lights were burned out, so it was poorly lit. She stepped on jagged metal where a handrail had been broken off near the base. We are lucky she didn't need stitches to stop bleeding, and so far no evidence of infection. (please see the photos)
The room smelled of cat urine. The carpet was wet in front of the sink. The TV buzzed, the lights were difficult to switch off and on, and the alarm was set to blast us out with music at midnight. And in the morning, the manager wouldn't stop talking with his friend long enough to ask how our stay was.
We will never go to another Ambassador Inn!

What a terrible place !1 Linen was too small for the bed, the batch was cracked, blankets were stained, Aircon not safely installed (looks like home rigged up), old, tired, worn, not hot water over the sink (tap didn"t work), large gap between door and jamb. Guest computer keyboard a health hazard, filthy, have seen cleaner on construction sites, vomit stains on footpath outside door to room. An absolutely filthy disgusting place.

We stayed at the Ambassador Inn for one night on our way to Yosemite national park. The manager was very friendly and helpful. We got to see the room beforehand. The room was spacious, clean and perfect for people on a road trip. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Our fridge did not work but it was fixed by the manager in less than a minute. We had everything we need; free parking, free wifi, fridge and microwave. TV with HBO was nice so we could watch a movie. There was a 'hot breakfast' included in the price, which turned out to be at the MacDonalds next door. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

This was a brief stopover on the journey between Vegas and Yosemite and we were glad it was for one night!

The motel itself was as described on the internet and we were more than happy with the room and service, but the area around the motel was not good. We witnessed several people loitering around as we drove into the car park, at about 6pm. There were also various police cars around. As a result of this we requested a top floor room and ensured our car was parked in sight, completely emptied of valuables with the glove boxes open! Later on we went out for food at the local Denny’s and saw several prostitutes openly touting for business on the street.

The motel served its purpose for us - it was cheap, comfortable, spacious and clean with free wifi, cable tv, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, free parking and breakfast at McDonalds included in the rate. For the amount we paid and as a stopover it was fine but it is definitely not a 'holiday' destination due to the local area!

The room had water damage in the ceiling, and various problems with the dry wall. The toilet paper dispenser was torn off the wall. It looked like the bathroom floor had Mop and Glow used on it over a fair amount of dirt. The hotel is located between the railroad tracks, which get lots of night traffic including the use of the train horns, and a very busy all night McDonalds. This had to be the noisiest motel I've ever stayed at. The rates are cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for.

The Ambassador Inn in Fresno is a terrible example of your hotels.
The smoke alarm had been removed and bare wires were in the ceiling..
The dresser where the t.v.was on was Filthy with something sticky.
This was the second room we looked at, the first one Smelt so bad I couldn't hardly go in it to look at the "Hot Tub" This was the honeymoon suite!!!
The door had been broken in and repaired badly. The bed was poorly made. My husband started to have an asthma attack and I was so glad not to have to spend a nite in thisstinking room. It needs a really good cleaning.!!
I will never spend a nite in one of these motels, I'll stick to Best Western in the future.
