Very friendly staff from the front desk, breakfast hostess to housekeeping. The hotel was clean. Comfortable beds. Well decorated. Good selection at breakfast & coffee was awesome! Love that it’s pet friendly while attending a dog show. $20 fee per pet. Lots of potty areas & bags to pick up after your dog. The rooms were not noisy, yes occasionally there was a train but not during the night.
The only complaints I have are- the restrooms downstairs need to be opened for guests to use. All of the carpets need to be steamed cleaned in the rooms, they are stained and very dirty. I put a towel down on the carpet and it was black when I picked it back up. I wore shoes so my feet stayed clean. Elevator was acting up & should be serviced by a professional. I was stuck in it for a short period of time after I checked in & it was making noise. Overall we had a good experience & will return. Thank you!

My wife booked this because it was not too expensive, $120 a night and the La Quintas we have stayed in have been much nicer. I wish we would have spent a bit more. This particular La Quinta was a bit run down and poorly maintained.
When we arrived, the POOL WAS GREEN. This hotel generally has a lot of families that stay and so a pool that is GREEN with algae is NOT desirable especially when the temperature was pushing 110 degrees this past weekend.
The rooms were clean but chipped paint was a feature throughout. It looks like it was painted by a bunch of non-painters or men on a work furlough program from the prison. The breakfast area was filthy the first day but was better the second morning. The toasters were not working well, according to other frustrated guests, and the waffle maker was totally out of order.
The ONE housekeeping employee, yes they told us, was kept busy and did a good job. Unfortunately, check-in time was moved from 2 pm to 4 pm on the second day of our stay.
It has potential IF they will hire and keep employees to do a good job. Sadly, they are not.
I suppose it was worth the cheap price, kinda.

During my stay at your establishment, I encountered several issues. The housekeeping staff did not speak English fluently and failed to clean my room on multiple occasions. Additionally, the front desk staff was unavailable at times, and I experienced technical difficulties with my room key. Furthermore, the bedding was uncomfortable, and the TV was not functioning properly due to incorrect cable connections. Considering the high cost of my three-night stay, I was disappointed with the quality of service and accommodations provided. I suggest investing in better quality mattresses, sheets, and blankets to enhance the overall guest experience.

This hotel is right next to the rail road track so unless you are a very sound sleeper, prepare to be woken up in the night. It is also in north Fresno right by highway 99 and so the surroundings are not very pretty and definitely not walkable to other places. The breakfast you get with your stay isn't very good either. The eggs and sausage tasted like cardboard and I hesitate to call them eggs or sausage. I took some to my doggy and she wouldn't eat it at first and she eats anything! The furniture in the dining room is not comfortable for sitting at a table and the chair in my room was stained with something, I don't know what. I certainly didn't feel like I would want to sit on it. The bed was comfortable however and it was easy to adjust the air conditioning for comfort. Shower, towels all good. The staff was very friendly, efficient and helpful. I however wouldn't stay here again just because of the train, breakfast and shabbiness. For the money paid, I expected better.

Response from General Manager, Owner at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fresno Northwest
Responded Jun 26, 2023
I'm sorry we didnt meet your expectations. As you look at the other reviews, the train is a problem. When they complete the construction in the area the train will not have to use the horn in the area but that is further away. I'm sorry the eggs and sausage did not meet your needs. We usually get better reviews for those items.

The first room I was provided upon check was unacceptable. The stench of the room was unbearable, smelled like urine. The front desk provided me with an alternative room.Though the room didn't smell like urine, the cleanliness was poor. I have worked in the hospitality industry for years. Perception from the customer perspective is everything. I understand that normal wear and tear on a property endures overtime, however this does not justify for uncleanliness. In addition, upon checkout I requested that the folio be sent to me via email. The folio was emailed to me from a gmail account, which suggests that my PII has been compromised. This property has been my go to when staying in Fresno, this will no longer be the case in the future. I am a loyal customer of La Quinta and have never had this experience til present. I hope that this issue will be rectified.

This hotel was in a sketchy side of town with vacant lots around it. The hotel was generic. The pool was closed. But the “free breakfast” was the worst I have witnessed in years of travel. One waffle iron, some hard boiled eggs, and warm juice. But hey - you could purchase the expected cereal and milk for breakfast. Would not stay here unless you had to.

Ridiculous!!

I’m extremely angry right now!! I drove 4 hours AND upon checking in I was told I wasn’t getting the two bedroom suite (see below) that I originally booked. Today is my daughters 21st birthday - awesome experience is now ruined.

Front desk didn’t offer anything at all to fix situation even after I showed her this detailed email. I’m requesting a full upgrade or full refund. I will end up sleeping on the floor. We are stuck out of luck because we have a comedy show to attend at 8:00pm.

I even confirmed last night via email through the La Quinta Greetings email. I made sure that a two bedroom suite would be ready.

We last stayed here 2 years ago just before the pandemic. It has gone downhill, not irretrievably, but needs to put more effort into maintenance and cleaning. When we stayed here 2 years ago we really enjoyed the facility; it was sparkling clean, in good repair, and our room was in good shape. Not so any more.
This time we found the common areas in need of cleaning and minor cosmetic repair work. Dirty stair well carpets. Dirty hall floors. Scratches in the dark purple (?) paint in our room wall. Big stain on our room floor rug. Elevator dirty. The heater/AC grill in our room was so dirty that it was scary. The easy chair in our room was stained and worn/torn; it should be thrown out. Nice pictures on the wall. The front desk staff were prompt and helpful in all of our contacts, so that is still a positive.

Given an already occupied room, next room was never cleaned. Tv on, sheet on couch, towel and soap used. After they came and did a 5 min cleaning job getting ready for bed to find a sock stuck under couch cushion, neck pillow and candy wrappers under master bed. Just horrible experience for my tired family.
