In advance of my stay this diamond member was treated to a upgrade! Friendly team checks you in don't forget the cookie on your way to the room. 2 large groups of high school aged kids there never heard a peep they are set up for large groups here. Nice clean pool opens early nice workout area. Good breakfast friendly team here. Atrium bar was busy in the evening. Free parking easy to get on the freeway close to the airport. They do not have shuttle service anymore has not ran since covid. Also no executive lounge here, most Hilton properties have done away with them which is too bad. All around good business stay at this property.
good location, downtown; not far from train station. Great for visiting two different relatives' homes on either end of Fresno. Restaurant felt safe with tables distanced and multi-story ceiling. Food was very good. Room service efficient. Staff was excellent. We had a room over the patio and one night a group of men was out there talking very loudly which was a little disruptive; suprised it was allowed, but they stopped at about 11:30. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to it.
REVIEW: DOUBLETREE FRESNO CONVENTION CENTER LENGTH OF STAY: 21 DAYS OVERALL SATISFACTION: OUTSTANDING We checked in on a Saturday, and checked out about 20 days later. The customer service is at “Nordstrom” level and the employees are kind and accommodating. Since we were there for a significant amount of time, we got to know a few of the employees. Let’s address a few shall we?: FRONT DESK STAFF: The front desk staff greeted us and were very enthusiastic. Anything we needed, they either found or aimed us in the right direction. They made sure we knew when mail or packages arrived. BRANDON: Brandon is the first bar technician we met. He is very nice and knowledgeable of the area. He directed us to a few delicious alternate places to eat (the hotel restaurant food is good too). JEFF: Jeff, who we believe is the Chief BarTechnician, is an outstanding person. He made a cure for potential illness, the Yosemite Sour, that cleared any thought in my mind that I may have felt ill. Within about four hours of drinking the potion, I was back to 100%. CHANCE: From seeing Chance’s area of responsibility, you would think he should have wheeled shoes so he can get around quicker. From what we observed, theoretically, Chance could check you in to the hotel, serve you a drink, wait on you in the restaurant, and deliver your room service order. ALYSSA: Alyssa is a very nice and entertaining person. She is nice to listen to and talk to. Very kind. JESSICA: Jessica made sure we were attended to when we were sitting far from her work station. A very nice person, also entertaining. RESTAURANT: The restaurant staff were all very nice, and the pancakes and french toast are so crispy-edge delicious! HOUSEKEEPING: Housekeeping would always leave our room(s) in very nice condition. Thank you for adjusting to our crazy schedule. MAINTENANCE: Maintenance properly addressed any issue identified. STARBUCKS: The Starbucks staffers were great, the products are excellent and we adjusting to its timeframe. MR. GENERAL MANAGER: Meeting the GM was a pleasure. I have high respect for anyone who can navigate such a business. There is far more going on at the establishment than what we see in the large open area. CRISTY: Cristy was a major key in our stay. She is very professional and business-like. She made our stay very accommodating and she is very bubbly with lots of emerge - a requirement for a person in her position. Thank you very much Christy……you rock! MR. PAUL T.: Mr. T., the man of experience, is one of the protectors who watch over the people and property. It is nice to know there are eagle-eyes watching over the guests, employees, and property. And thank you to the other security people who stood guard while we enjoyed our stay. And super-props to those I saw standing on the asphalt parking lot in the 102 degree temperature directing traffic. Please forgive me for not having notes of all the names we ran across, but everyone we ran into was great. And as for where the best rooms are, why would I give out that secret? :) Brian J.…
I would definitely stay there again. I would also recommend this hotel to others. It is conveniently located. Grounds are well kept. Lots of amenities. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable l would recommend this hotel to others planning to visit the Fresno area.
Very clean. Beautiful hotel with all rooms open to inside. Pool, hot tub, bar and restaurant a huge plus. Ate at International Cafe in hotel lobby twice. Service by Martha was exceptional! Greeted us with a smile and excellent service. Food was fantastic both nights!
Loved my stay even just a short noticed. They upgrade our room as a diamond member. Did not het the chance to use some amenities. We had some drinks at the bar with friends and my husband was not aware of the credit we are getting from my diamond membership. He paid using our credit card. When we checked out the next day, talked to someone in the mail front desk and asked how can i get the credit for our stay since we don’t used it. Hope the hotel will refund our payment that we paid from the bar section for $30
Room service is terrific. Food great, prices reasonable and it is delivered quickly. However, they will not give you maid service unless requested. This wouldn’t be a problem but no one informed us of that and we ended up not getting it. Also, I requested new towels when they told us there would be no maid service and they never delivered them. They can try a little harder in my opinion.
The facility was clean, well equipped, the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. We had one nice meal at the restaurant during our stay. The front desk people were surly, acted as if we were bothering them, were not helpful in any way.
Had a very good stay at this hotel. There was a line, due to it being a convention, at check in. They had three front desk staff checking in customers. I noticed one older lady check in, went to her room, immediately come back down due to reserving the wrong type of room. The lady who checked her in, went right into trying to get this older lady switched to the type of room she needed, she never lost her smile. I also ended up with this front desk staff member, she was friendly and informative. Seemed to be doing everything she could to make my stay as comfortable as she could. She did fail to offer me one of the famous Double Tree Chocolate Chip cookies though...::chuckling::. I forgot her name, but she was a great first representative of the hotel. The restaurant staff were amazing. It started with Alexander, who was quick to take my order and was very friendly. Alexander remembered me and always acknowledge me when he saw me. Clarence, who was at the counter, remembered my name after the first visit. Christina and Sonia took the time to talk just a bit before taking my order, which made me feel like they were happy I was there. I had a king single room. While the room did not have a microwave, I did not need one. The restaurant food was good, severed as quickly as possible I felt. Could use a little more variety on the menu as we come out from under the restrictions of Covid. Overall, an excellent stay for the five nights I was there.…
Amy the Sales Coordinator is AMAZING! I had the chance to work with Amy in group sales and she understood our needs and was able to accommodate our special needs. As someone who travels frequently, and coordinates travel with a small team now and used to coordinates events for large groups for oil spill responses, I work with a variety of sales offices and seldom do I work with folks of Amy's caliber. She was able to help us but did it with grace. Thank you Amy!
