I'm a solo backpacker although I was travelling with a friend here, this place hasn't been open for long and they were building more rooms when we were there. The pool is lovely to cool off in and the rooms are a good size and have air conditioning. The location is a little way out from the town however the staff are incredibly accommodating and helpful here, it is family/friend run so If you need anything I.e dinner/atm/trips tours they will assist you the best you can and arrange transport for you. I highly recommend the Canyoneering trip at Badian, we had a great 1.5 motorbike ride to get there with lovely scenery and it was all organised by the guesthouse. I really felt looked after staying here and wish them success in the future!

Place was lovely. Rooms were very clean and new. Air-con worked very well. Pool was lovely, bbut you also have access to a beach right in front of the property - but broken coral instead of sand, so wear waterproof shoes.

Not a 5star property, but I give it 5 stars because it seemed perfect for the price.

Not much selection for food, but the staff can pull something together for you if you ask.

It's about 15mins drive north of the whale shark area of Oslob, but buses, jeepneys and habal habals run past regularly.

I would stay here again.

I stayed in Lagnason's Place for 4 days and 3 nights to explore the south of Cebu and it was a great choice. I have nothing but good things to say. The facilities are new and clean. The family run business gives it a homely, family-like atmosphere. I arrived earlier than my check-in time and Ms Marilou prepared a spare room in her house (located on the compound) just so that I could shower and rest from my long journey. The rooms are basic but clean and functional. Enough for a safe and good night's rest and a shower. Noone really goes on vacation to stay in a room all day, right? It is right next to the beach (not really suitable for swimming though) and I enjoyed waking up in the morning to catch the sunrise, listen to the waves, and see fishermen pass by with their small boats. Oslob really is safe. I didnt feel threatened at any time throughout my stay. The food menu was fine for me as I am not a picky eater, but I can see someone who is a bit fussy complaining about the selection. They prepare everything for you from the kitchen of the main house. Overall the only thing that I didn't like was perhaps the loud karaoke music sometimes during the day. It is about a 15 minute drive from the Whale Shark watching location and there are local restaurants and pharmacies in a nearby small town (about 5 -10 minutes drive). There is no ATM in Oslob however so make sure you bring enough cash with you. The family and staff of Lagnason's place are very friendly and accomodating and I would definitely stay here again if I visit Cebu again.

Nice pool, beach at front - a bit rocky though but ok for searching fishes and other marine life. We had a nice stay, kind owner and staff.
Quiet at night, see the stars. A place to relax, decent and simple, aircon rooms, dont miss it after the bridge in Oslob.

We decided to spend a week here so that we could really get to know Oslob and the local town. First, I'll explain many of the positives of this place. Lagnason's Place was a good place to relax and live like a local. We arrived at 5am and were brought to our room immediately, which was truly appreciated. The room was extremely clean, comfortable, and quite spacious. The pool is exceptional and very well-maintained. Most of the staff are extremely friendly and extroverted people. The owner's father and sisters in particular, were absolutely delightful to talk to. Tours were easily arranged. They had a decent selection of cheap breakfast options as well!

Some things that travellers should know about if staying here, is first, the place is a good 20 minute walk away into town. However, the walk down is really fun (as locals are super friendly) and quite beautiful. If you don't want to walk, it was exciting to catch rides with locals on a tricycle for about 8 pesos. The website of the resort says they offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and if you want to go to the market and buy your food, for a fee, they will cook it for you. This is slightly misleading as there is not a lunch nor dinner menu, so I'm not sure why the website says that. Also, staff are minimal in the evenings around dinner time, so it didn't feel like they were quite available to cook up something you bought. Upside, if you go to the market and buy fresh food, you can use their pretty well-equipped outdoor kitchen to buy your own stuff! There are SOME restaurants in town, but be prepared to enjoy the local food! You need to have an open mind because the town is not built up for tourists at all (which I think, is great!). Finally, you can buy beer and drinks from the staff throughout the day, but when they aren't around it was difficult to get a cold drink. We thought a mini fridge in the room would have been exceptional.

Overall, it really was a relaxing place to stay and had gorgeous surroundings. We enjoyed our time very much. Since we spent a while here, we got to know the area and the people well. It provided a good balance between being a relaxing vacation spot, but also somewhat living like a local. Thanks for everything!

Not an ideal place for such event, i cant recommend the place specially for us locals for their treatment for us is a nightmare, Oslobanons like us dont feel welcomed in this place. Our agreement with the owner was 8am-5pm, we havent used their pool that time for like 9am-230pm for they do have lots of other guests using the pool, we let other guests to use it first besides we're still busy with our games and other businesses with batch, but the when we are about to use the pool for like 330pm, the owner told us that there's no chance for us to use the pool anymore because theyve already treated the water, hello??? It is still 330pm, and we still have like almost 2 hours left. Guess what, the owners told us that we have no right to complain because they are the owners, yes you have all the rights, but we also have our rights as your guests. Do you know what the husband told us? "You are not invited here, you can pack up your things and go!" Hospitality? Tsk tsk tsk. Pls, their customer service sucks! Im sorry, i am also an Oslobanon, but i am not recommending this place or ur ideal hotel or place to stay.

Booked for 4pax which has 2 beds, Cheap but very nice and clean hotel, staffs are accommodating. Beds are comfy, aircon works well, bathroom were clean with hot and cold shower. They cook food until 10pm after that If u felt like sneaking up in a fridge and want something to drink and eat, just go to the lobby and you can just serve yourself a coffe, noodle or biscuit. There's no available staff in the evening so Just be honest on paying for what u ate, At the lobby there's a menu where the prices are written. Dont expect that the staffs are working 24/7 since this is a budget friendly hotel and not a five star hotel so get up and do the serving by your own :-)

The staff are very helpful in showing good places to eat. The double room we stayed in was basic but it was okay for the price we have paid for. Electricity went out multiple times. We weren't able to experience the pool but it was a good sight though. The area is peaceful and very accessible to transportation.
