As others have said, the resort is faded and is in desperate need of refurb.... That takes money but is the easy side of running a resort... What is hard is good customer service, but the staff here make it look effortless. They are fantastic. We were looked after. Breakfast was fabulous. The pool is good for kids, the beach is not great but once you get over the stones/pebbles it is very pleasant. Working beach next door with local families and fishing folk. We came away relaxed and felt we had been staying with distant relatives who were hell bent on looking after us. Not for the smart set. Not for people who fuss about their environment. Excellent for a relaxing family break.

Poor monkey and poor bird on very short ropes, acting depressed and aggressive! The Monkey was just sitting there and holding his hands infront of his eyes, the massive bird was just trying to get rid of the 1m rope! How can people do that? Awefull!!

This hotel has potential (location: 3 rooms with direct sea view, garden, swimming pool with nice bar) but is a faded glory. We didn’t dare to go on the teeter at the swimming pool because it might break off. Friendly staff, but the room was not clean. Please dust clean under the beds! There was a giant spider in bathroom living behind the mirror. The monkey on a chain in de garden was pathetic to see. Same for the beautiful bird on a chord. Weird smell in the outdoor restaurant. We never saw customers. It is fairly remote. Update this accommodation (not only the extra rooms construction workers were working on) and clean properly. Customers and better reviews will follow.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute. The staff were absolutely fantastic and so helpful . They arranged transport and were very welcoming. The location is also great, only about a ten minute drive from stunning waterfalls and the whale sharks. The rooms were very clean and the surroundings were great, very homey. The pool was clean and in great condition. The rooms had AC , a tv and a fridge. The WiFi connection was also very fast. We ate in the restaurant the first night and there was a great selection on the menu , the food was delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Cannot praise the staff enough. Thank you!!

We went there as walk-in guests and luckily, they had everything we needed: an airconditioned room for two with CR, a clean swimming pool, a restaurant, a bar and the beach! Plus, they have a trampoline (which my boyfriend enjoyed) and animals (birds and a monkey) you can talk to 😂 Everyone was ver accomodating and nice. The resort’s design isn’t modern. It kinda looks like a resort based in North Korea or something. It’s near the town too where you can find other restaurants and local eateries, 711 and money remittance centers. Rate is 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 very reasonable, food is great (free breakfast) and they have a kareoke youncan rent. All praises (except for the design and color choices) 😂

First of all, the staff was very helpful and kind. The Hotel itself appears to be not as clean as others. Its nothing which bothers me, but worth mentioning. The atmosphere is very relaxed and calm. Good destination to start whale watching in Oslob.

Lagunde beach resort has beachfront accommodation good for 10, they also have rooms for 8 with kitchen. They have dining area overlooking the beach. They have friendly staffs and good service. They even gave me 10%discount for my reservation. They also have trampoline, swimming pool and tour package. Even we checked in very late in the evening they make sure someone will welcome us when we arrive. Thumbs up!

The place was great! The rooms were clean. The staff are accomodating. The view from the balcony is amazing. I will definitely visit again! They offer van service for guests staying at their resort. The Oslob town is around ten minutes away.

The Norweigian owner is a very amiable guy, interacts a lot with guests but also knows how to respect their privacy. Very homey resort, staff is treated like owner's family. The rooms are simple and I recommend the apartment for those who have the budget. It has a nice swimming pool, great sunrise view, and good food in the restaurant.

If you are really looking for a beach resort where you can really swim, this one is not for you.. They have a swimming pool, which is nice.. Room is very basic. I think they need more electric outlets since there's only one, my friend and I took turns in charging our gadgets.. Town is around 10 mins away and whaleshark is around 25 mins (by motorcycle). the staffs BTW, are really friendly and indeed one of their staffs contacted our driver and arranged our trip not only going to the whaleshark but also going to Alegria (canyoneering, Kawasan waterfalls).. what I love is that they are not really strict with the check in time. We arrived at the hotel around 10am then checked out before 1pm the next morning and they did not charge us extra for this! :) I guess because we were there in the weekdays that's why they're lenient about the check in/check out time. If you're just looking for a place to sleep in while in Oslob, you can stay here. but don't expect your room to be very spacious..…
