I spent 3 nights here and did not have wifi during my entire stay. There was no soap or shampoo supplied. 3 times I had no water in the bathroom. When I had water the pressure was very low. The pool was not clean so I could not use it. The location was good to walk to the town however I would not recommend.

People there were very generous and friendly which was very good first impression Checked in there because it said that it was very near the whale shark viewing but it takes 10 minutes to go to tan awan by car which is a little distant if you dont have personal ride so i suggest you bring a service if you want to stay here. Second, Wifi it was published in their site that they have wifi connection inside the room but when we checked in there wifi was very poor so sorry to tell you guys. Water is also slow to little and tv doesn’t have remote which is an issue for me because i watch tv before I sleep.Lastly, I want to highlight the curtains because i value my privacy too much its very thin and the people outside your window can see through if you turn on your lights. But to be fair the prive is reasonable and cheap the people are very good thats why its just a balanced stay for me.

Liked: Beautiful ocean views, lovely rocking chairs and chair swings, hassle free check-in and check-out, a couple of nice little shops down the road for conveniences and clothes. Pool slide was fun for the kids. Onsite restaurant was convenient and depending what you chose, the food was ok. It was well priced, remembering you get what you paid for. Fun board games to play and quirky tables to dine at. Jay the transfer/tour driver was great, although I think the 1500 pesos each way from the ferry may have been a little expensive. He had a fun little red chariot that got us to all of the touristy spots! Disliked: · Air conditioner not working in one room (we had two rooms for a family of six) leaving the room with an overwhelming stench of mould. We switched rooms for the first night but due to the resort being full on our second night, we had no option but to move into the mouldy room. Very steep stairs to some second floor rooms, so you might like to request the ground floor room if you have mobility issues (that's room E with the mould!). Wifi didn't really work as promised. On the Saturday morning, we woke to the repetitive sounds of the chipping of the concrete in the pool spa! Glad we used it the day before. The restaurant ran out of beer at lunch time and when we asked if they would get more, they just said no. So we went next door to Germaroze Resort and swam in their pool while having a few afternoon beers. They were very friendly and accommodating. The resident cats would jump onto the tables when we were finishing our meals. Didn't really love that! We ordered pancakes one morning for breakfast which had a lovely picture on the menu of a stack of pancakes with butter and maple syrup. The three pancakes themselves were yummy and filling, but the only topping offered was chocolate syrup. Even though the picture shows maple syrup, they don't offer it. Overall, its an ok resort. It wasn't expensive, so I feel you get what you pay for. It was easy enough to get a tricycle into town, it was lovely to sit above the ocean and watch the locals fishing and swimming. But if you're objective is to go swimming with the whale sharks, this isn't the best location. There are certainly closer resorts for that (AJ's Place Beach Resort, Anton's Beach Resort etc). But then you are closer to town if you want to dine out at other restaurants.

We spent a few days here after camping in Moalboal, so that might have biased me a little, but I found the room a delight with regards to comfort and air-conditioning. The view across the ocean to Bohol is absolutely lovely, with plenty of chairs to relax and enjoy the view. However, I left the ocean itself in a hurry when two bright blue snakes swam past me, so do be careful. Kitchen is not much to write home about, and I would avoid the sandwiches. However, overall a very relaxing experience.

Pros The rooms overlooking the sea were awesome. We could see fishes from room balcony. Downstairs, there are stairs leading right into the sea. Deck chairs facing the sea were a bonus. Various tours to local attractions were available on site. Cafe on site but I would give it a miss. Cons Cockroaches running around in the evening. No kettle in room but there is a vending machine for hot and cold water.

We had popped into this place on the scooter after doing the whale watching to look for a further 2 nights in the area. We really liked the look of the place and the rooms looked good, so we booked 2 nights and payed for one night upfront, the first night the actual facilities were ok for the price. We were packing up to move to our new room at checkout time and we were told that they had double booked and we had to leave. I thought at this point that they would honour the booking that was made first (clearly us) but I was wrong. Let me tell you that I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life. You should read every terrible review on the site because every one resonated with our experience, Shame we didn’t read them before booking. It was clear they just did not care, what is more is we were both suffering from a little food poisoning (in fairness likely not from this place) and were in no fit state to travel. They finally admitted they had made a mistake, but I realised we were still going to have to leave as they said they can’t cancel the booking.com booking. I thought it reasonable to ask for a refund of our money from the first night, the woman spoke to her boss on the phone and replied with a flat ‘no’. Zero effort to compensate, at that point we just left, no effort to say sorry or anything I’m really quite flabbergasted! I think this area has had such a good thing from the whale watching that they just don’t care what experience people have in the hotel. It’s a real shame because it’s kind of put me off continuing my trip in the philipines. In addition, the walk in rates are around 200 pesos more expensive than the booking.com rates. For our first night she asked for 1100 pesos inc tax, yet we checked booking and it was 941 inc taxes. For second night in the sea view balcony room she asked for 1300 pesos, and the booking.com price was 1112 pesos all in. After my experience today that makes me believe that either the management were trying to cheat me, or the staff member is pocketing the difference. All in all, steer clear, this place is all about money.

After reading some bad reviews we didn’t know what to expect from Sachas, but we were pleasantly Surpised. We paid about £10 a night for a decent double room with bathroom and air con with the use of the small pool and seating area. It’s not fancy at all and I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant but you get what you pay for and the staff were very helpful in organising our whale sharks experience and ferry to Bohol.

The place was nice but the staff were poorly trained. You can tell the difference in customer service if you are not a foreigner. You can see on the staff's eyes that they are not that willing to help you ( mga hilas kaayog tinan.awan murag dili taga oslob). One time naligo me ug pool kay wala nila gi turn on ang water sa slides og sa pool nga part. After namo naligo kaaay kay naay mga foreigner nipuli, didto na nila gi on ang water system sa pool. Same nahitabo sa pinoy nga family nga naligo sad, wa jud nila gi turn on. So naa silay pinalabi to be exact. Why accept locals in the first place if your not that happy to have us as customers man d i. So please don't bother going to this place if you are not a foreigner.

We only stayed one night and had a room that was right on the water front which had a beautiful view. Very basic accommodation though, air con was pretty ordinary and the bathroom was nothing flash. The staff are very friendly and the food is pretty good. Great for the money , plus it’s only a short stroll to town where you will find a few different restaurants and shops.

Stayed here for one night, as we were seeing the whale shakes the following morning. Pros- The hotel is in a good location, 15 minute walk from town (come out and turn right), across the road is a basic convenience store. Children loved the pool and this I believe is a big attraction for the hotel Cons - air conditioning very noisy. Plates left on tables hours after people had finished their meals. Staff did not seem to have that overly helpful approach we have experienced throughout our travels in the Philippines. Ordering food through the hatch was a bit weird and reminds me of a school tuck shop. Booked the whale shark watching through the hotel at 1000 pesos and 150 transport cost per person. Left at 5.30am and we were back by 7am! This hotel is great value for money but there are some basics that they are missing that would have given them a higher score. Overall, would recommend for a night stop over and especially if you have children, as they’d love the pool. For any longer, would suggest looking elsewhere.
