Stayed here for three nights while in Oslob. Owners couldn’t be nicer, giving recommendations of where to eat and making sure we got on the right bus when we left. Nice small seating area outside but can get a little loud with all the coaches on the road. Easy to get to some restaurants, bus takes around 10 mins and is roughly 30 pesos but there are some other restaurants walking distance.

After much research, my boyfriend and I decided to stay a night close to where the whale shark watching takes place rather than in Oslob town or even in Cebu where many people make a long journey from. Susada’s is situated a couple of meters up the road from the whale sharks and about a 30-40 minute scooter ride to Tumalog Falls so it’s a great location. They had only a family room left so we took that meaning we had a private bathroom. The room felt very clean and had a tv with a lot of channels to choose from. We wouldn’t usually find ourselves watching tv but when you’ve done both tourist attractions there’s not much else to do for the night. The staff were soooo welcoming. We only spoke with two ladies and they made us feel so at home from the moment we got there and they even allowed us to use their scooter as there were no rental stores nearby. I would recommend doing a one nighter in this area because it just breaks your travel time up nicely and allows you to make the 6am swim whilst having somewhere safe to leave your belongings. :)

We booked this hotel for a quick trip to oslob to swm with the whale sharks

We were very happy with the inn .
The photos on booking websites dont do the place justace .
It is actually a quaint little place with clean rooms , in a convienent location . Close to the whale shark viewing area. And a short walk from a little bakery. Which had very nice philippino bakery treats for a few cents each

The thing that made susadas inn stand out for us was how helpfull the owner was .
She organised someone to line up at 4am ! And purchace whale shark tickets for us. For a small fee . so we could have a bit more sleep in .
She also organised our shuttle to the shark viewing area. And a private boat to sumalon island for snorkelling afterwards. ( sumalon island has excellent snorkelling, highly recomended , prob the nicest corals we saw during our month in the philippines )

We were given helpfull advice about what jeepny would get us into town for a meal . And what bus to take us to the ferry port . She even waited with us to make sure we got on the right bus .

Its so nice to find a place run by genuine people .

Susada’s Inn is a low-end place, located near the whale sharks. They don’t provide bottled water or any toiletries to their guests (like shampoo or soap). We had to buy water and shampoo at the adjacent sari sari, which I believe is under the same ownership. The shower flow was low, so it took a long time to have a shower. There was no bath mat. Their WiFi seemed very weak. Susada’s seems to be a place targeted at locals, without the amenities westerners expect, though it was bearable.

This was not like a normal hotel where there is a manned front desk. When we arrived we could not locate any staff and had to wait until a staff person happened to walk by to check us in. The room was basic but clean. However, the room had no soap, not even a tiny bar to use to wash your hands. When my husband tried to take a shower that evening, there was no hot water. Again, no staff could be located and the only way we could contact anyone was via message through the booking platform. They did respond through the booking platform to tell us the hot water would be repaired the next morning. There was no mention of moving us to another room where the hot water was working. The hot water was not repaired before we checked out the next morning. Customer service did not seem to be a priority. The hotel was within walking distance of the whale sharks.

We wanted to stay very close to the whale shark tour location, and our priority was cleanliness and good air conditioning. Susada's met both of these requirements. We had a good night's sleep before waking up at 5am to get on the 6am boat for snorkeling with whale sharks. The manager (owner?) was very knowledgeable about the whale shark ticket process and local restaurant recommendations. This is not a luxury hotel, there was some noise from the occupants on the 2nd floor that traveled to our 1st floor room, but reasonable given that this is not priced as a first class resort experience. Solid choice for a one night stay in Oslob. The whale shark experience is definitely worth going out of your way to stay in Oslob - unforgettable!

They owners were very accomodating. We weren’t able to inform them ahead of time of our ETA, so the AC of one of our rooms (2nd floor) couldn’t cool the whole room because of the sunny weather the whole day. They could’ve turned it on earlier if we communicated our ETA. But other than that, the owners accomodated all our requests. Look for Ate Vanessa.

Room was much better than I expected

The lady met us off the bus as we arrived late and she could not have been anymore helpful providing us with information, directions and cold water.

Little Expensive for what you get however not much else to choose from and only 10 minute walk from whale sharks

I would stay here again

I went with Hanksubstantial from Birmingham, and his review was very accurate. Both of the rooms were spotless and had ensuites, which looked brand new, but I think that that is more to do with the cleaning regime they have at Susadas. Very welcoming family, if I am ever going to see the whale sharks and Tumalog falls again, I will 100% try to book Susadas first. If you're lucky, and its ironing day, there is a lady with a beautiful voice, who sings whilst she is ironing. Well done Susadas

Visited Oslob to swim with the whale sharks. As we hadn't booked a hotel, we started looking on arrival only to find some fairly dingy places.Having decided not to stay in any of them we took off up the road to look alsewhere. After a few minutes we stumbled across Susanda's. She offered us 2 rooms at a reduced price of 1500php each. Upon inspection we found them to be super clean, with lovely newly fitted en-suites and all ammenities.
There is also a small store next door where you can buy food, beer etc and a patio area to sit, chat and drink.
If you are lucky, you will get to hear the beautiful singing voice of Susanda's sister
Thanks for a lovely welcome and stay.
