Have stayed at the Westin SCP for the past 10 years and it never disappointed until now. I stayed with my family and booked 2 rooms. No upgrade despite Titanium Elite status, then I was told they have a 'company policy' to only honour 1 breakfast voucher for 1 room only, despite every other Marriott hotel I have stayed at providing 1 breakfast voucher per room. Really disappointing and make up their own rules. Hotel has deteriorated and other than providing you with a bed to sleep in at night they don't really provide much else!

Overall my experience at this hotel was quite poor. the hotel is super old, poorly maintained, dirty rooms, gym was not maintained well. Brittany the check-in desk did a poor job checking me in, was slow, the keys didn't work several times in the elevator. No lounge or solid breakfast option. PASS on this hotel. Oh btw I am a titanium elite member

We went here for my daughter's birthday and booked with points as she wanted to go shopping at South Coast Plaza for her birthday. We arrived early, at 10AM. While I assumed our room would not be ready, I assumed it would be ready at the latest at check in time at 3PM. We had plans and had to get ready, yet at 3:10PM, the room still was not ready. The man at the front desk (who was very nice), asked us if we wanted a King room an that the pull out bed was good for two kids. We took it as we needed to get dressed and ready after the pool. The pull out bed was not a size for two kids, it is a twin. We went back down and told them we would wait for our 2 queen bed room that we had originally booked. It ended up not being ready until 8pm which is not acceptable with a 3PM check out time. The room itself was nice with comfortable beds and a good shower. The windows however, were filthy. You barely could see through them and they look like they have not been cleaned in over a year. I would stay somewhere else if they can't guarantee a reasonable check in time for the room you booked.

Just spent a very comfortable evening at the SCP Westin after seeing a show at the SCP Performing Arts Center. The large and welcoming lobby was a nice intro to the hotel, and we were checked in by the lovely and accommodating Stephany… Scored a large king room on the 15th floor, with a great view of the park…Plenty of waters, coffee maker, big TV and a huge, modern shower with luxury toiletries…. the room was spotless (and quiet) and the most comfortable bed and pillows ever….I slept like a baby. Front desk Brian helped us check out and he was polite and caring. All in all, the Westin hotel experience was a pleasure and we will be back…Next time, we will try the bar and restaurant, they both looked very inviting! PS There is a Starbucks there, which always makes my day!

Awful customer service at the front desk, they are rude and condescending. Room was clean and large, housekeeping did a nice job. Bartender and lounge server were nice but very difficult to understand and communicate with, although they tried hard. Location is convenient next to the mall. No amenities to speak of, but self-parking is convenient.

The windows were so filthy you barely see out the window, yes that dirty. Seems windows have not been washed for years, maybe three years. When I was not able to hook up to the Wi-Fi, they transfer me to an outside service, they had me waiting for over an hour. Outside they were 3 or 4 bell boys, when I took a suitcase out, no one volunteered to help me lift this suitcase into the trunk of my car. I was overcharged, I made reservations directly with hotel reservations, they give me a price , but on my bill, they charged me higher prices for some nights without my authorization. In general, the hotel is dated and is not very detailed maintained.

This hotel is very conveniently located closed to entertainment and shopping however it is clear the management and owners do not care about this property! The windows are so filthy you can hardly see out of them … dirtiest windows I have ever experienced in any hotel or building ever ! We stayed for 3 days and the second day the housekeeping never showed up … we reported this and asked that the room be refreshed and was told it would be taken care of. We went to dinner and returned 2 hours later to a room that hadn’t been touched ! Told “Oh we are oversold tonight and housekeeping is overwhelmed! “ Perhaps I am underwhelmed and don’t feel like paying for services I didn’t receive !”

BEWARE: this hotel is inconsistent with their cancellation policy. When traveling while sick is extremely frowned upon these days and not recommended, I needed to cancel due to illness. Steve Leary, the front desk manager sent me a passive aggressive email about their “consistent compliance” of their cancellation policy which is smoke and mirrors. I had a family member also cancel the same day as check in with no problem. Hotel management is unintelligible for real world decisions that use policy to be inflexible but really are just trained monkeys that recite the scripts as their version of customer service. Don’t book here.

Well, let’s start with FALSE advertising in their website and google ads. No business center, no hot tub, no kids activities, no golf activities, no free wifi, no breakfast buffet, no airport shuttle, no car rental on site. ALL LIES. Even with the $5 incentives when you skip housekeeping services was a lie. Talked to the front office manager Diana, She told me “it is what it is” with a sarcastic big face. Never again

I truly love this hotel. I love it for many reasons from its wonderful location, cleanliness, quiet, lively lobby, large and beautiful grounds/amenities but mostly its staff. I also feel safe and comfortable. I always enjoy all my interactions with the staff. I especially want to thank Eladio in the hotel restaurant area as he is just the most cheerful, respectful and lovely person. Thank you for your excellent service every time we have stayed at the hotel. It really feels like home when we are here. I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling. Its across the street from the South Coast Plaza (connects with a bridge) and is close to so many fine restaurants. Cant wait to go back again soon!
