Called to reserve room was told to call back in 20 minutes. Called back a young girl answered she mumbled something & hung up on me. I've called several times only to get recording. Left message & have yet to get a return call. This place obviously doesn't deserve anyone's business. Do them a favor and stay at another hotel.

I just was there enough time to see 2 rooms at top of stairs, with a kitchen. I planned a mini vacation with my 3 kids. I had stayed there before like 10 years ago and the place was nice. As of yesterday i had never seen something so run down in a long time. The carpets in the "sunflower room" was horrible and there was as area rug on top. Very outdated . The only working stove that was available was so filthy it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 10 years, there was melted cheese hanging of the oven rack. We then decided to check out the Lighthouse room. A little cleaner, but water was left in the coffee pot and stove didn't work. Very disappointed. I called the week before to get a room, was told full to call back i tried 2 times and left a message no return, called another time a child answered and said they were booked. Called a couple days before and got a room to encounter this disaster! Had to go find another room with no vacancy available, found one farther away than I liked. Drove by there on my way home and the same car that was parked there was still there in the same spot. Very surprised they are still in business!

Very disappointed in the cleanliness of this once quirky little place. Owner blames ONE very busy little maid while she sits in the back doing?? Also stoves, outlets,TVs don't work well. Will charge more than quote and will not confirm reservations. If you look closely there is human hair in the kitchen utensils.

We will come here again. It was a cozy place with a full kitchen and fireplace. We loved it. Parking is sometimes crowded and the breakfast was good. It is right in the Main Street and easy to walk everywhere in this little town.

Room Tip: We saw 3 of the rooms because we had a large group. I thought all of the rooms looked the same.

We have been coming to Cypress Tree for almost 40 years! Granted, it's an older property, but that's part of the charm for us! It's always clean and close to everything in Cayucos. The manager is always friendly and helpful. We will continue to stay here occasionally!

Thank you very much for the kind stay at Cypress Tree Motel. We were traveling and made an overnight there - very spontaneous, and enjoyed a great night with very kind service. The rooms are easy but there's enough space. Most of the time we spend at the beach, which is like 2 min. or in the little backyard.

Walking up and down the three block town we came across this motel. We had checked out others along the walk and found they started close to $100.00 a night. One was $149.00. So we checked out the room and for $77.00 got a room with 2 beds, one being in a closed off tiny bedroom. Shower only. You are charged 3% more if you pay by credit card. No phone in the room so no way to contact management unless you find them in the office. We opted for no housekeeping so I cannot comment on that aspect. Quirky and so last century, but it has what you need.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The last time it was a happy discovery on a road trip. We loved it so much we had to return. It is now under new management. The rooms are much the same, individually decorated & very quirky which is what we loved. It is true to say the rooms are a little tired, but the beds are clean & the town is lovely & well worth a visit. The lady running the motel was lovely, really helpful & went out of her way for us. Liberty the puppy was an added bonus for us & we had some doggy cuddles on the grassed area outside. This was an excellent priced, well located motel with a quirky vibe. Don't go here if you like corporate, sterile, cloned motel chains. We loved it!

This was our first time to stay at Cypress Tree. We were on a motorcycle trip for our anniversary, Made reservations to stay for two nights, After a three hundred mile ride we arrived to find out our room wasn't available. Not a good start of a celebration. ( A common mistake made by many motels/hotels.) Well Lori was as devastated as we were. Every motel/hotel was booked, not uncommon on a Saturday. Well Lori managed to work some magic and provide a wonderful room, The Sunflower room. I don't know how she did it, but she did. The room was bright and cheerful. Very clean and comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, etc. We will defiantly be back to stay again! Thank you Lori, you are awesome! Peace,

Admittedly, the carpet in our room had seen better days. The coffee stains from previous guests had been too much to remove. The room was not big, but with good facilities and--apart from the stains in the carpet--clean. The manager is a lively type.
