The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is close enough to the beach to walk. The snack and drink bar is out 24/7 for you to enjoy free of charge and had plenty of fresh fruit daily.

We love this hotel, we stay here at least once a year with a group of friends and our dogs. The staff is so friendly and kind, and housekeeping is top notch. YES, they will tidy up your room daily like the good old days before the plague. The wifi works great, and the property is non-smoking. The rooms are well maintained, the beds comfortable and the shower is good. There's a barbecue and outdoor area on the north side of the parking lot and one of the nicest things is the dog-washing station and grass with the fire hydrant so your pet has a full bathroom as well. After many beach romps, you won't have sandy paws in your room with you. The breakfast room they used to have has been converted into another guest room so there's coffee and a few little snacks in the office instead, which is fine because with all the breakfast options in Cayucos, the one at the hotel just isn't a huge draw anyway. …

Initially I thought I would have a great stay. The room was nice-staff was seemingly helpful and friendly. HOWEVER- someone let themselves into my room the morning I was due to check out and left the door open. I was staying in the King Suite which had a living room and adjoining bedroom area. I was asleep in the bedroom and when I awoke in the morning my dog went into the other room. When I didn't hear him I went to check and I saw the door was open and my dog was gone. Someone said in the parking lot "Wrong Room" and laughed. I cannot prove I did not leave the door open myself and did not want to deal with any drama but if anything had happened to my dog it would have been A VERY DIFFERENT STORY. DONT STAY HERE.

Nice location within easy walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants. Very friendly staff for an easy check-in with great advice for dining options later. Room was very clean and well appointed, would definitely stay here again.

The beds are comfortable, the room was clean and it was quiet. Rather than a bedspread, which I always fear are dirty, they use sheets over a warm comforter, which is so much cleaner. Parking was free and I was able to park near my room. In room coffee maker, microwave and mini refrigerator was nice. The grounds are pretty and maintained well.

I run an Airbnb myself so I’m a pretty tough customer. I was impressed. The rooms are clean, the grounds are well maintained and the staff is friendly. Motel is close to beach and everything in town. Close to Cambria and Paso without the crowds. This is our new go-to destination by the sea.

After leaving the hotel where we booked, we ended up here. They were friendly at the front desk. The room was fresh and clean. The beds were comfortable. Our room had a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and small wet bar sink. We will return here again.

Hotel was well kept, very dog friendly, nice grassy area, close to a public park, dog friendly. Just a short walk to the beach and nice eating establishments. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was really nice and spacious. Enjoyed the stay very much.

The linens are always clean and smell good. Staff is consistently friendly and stays the same which tells me that the smiles are genuine. Dogs are welcome and made to feel like family because that's what our dog Millie is to us. Also, Sunni always remembers us and goes out of her way to get us the suite we like and need. This has been our getaway for my brother in law since his oncology treatment at Stanford. The Ocean being within walking distance is the best part for all of us.

Great find. Wonderful friendly staff and very accommodating. Loved the room. They have extra touches that enhance your stay. Highly recommend. Fantastic location too. What really makes this a “do again” are the owners. Go out of their way to make your stay special.
