The location is not bad and front desk staff are friendly. Unfortunately, I stayed in a room right above mechanical room. Of course I didn't know it when I checked in. The machine noise, which I though would stop at some point, continued all night every five minutes and sounded like a garbage truck working right outside your window. Cannot get any sleep. Front desk said it is the boiling machine and there is little they can do. Manager kindly promised to refund 10% of the 50000 points I paid for the stay to compensate my "inconvenience." Some posting mentioned there is a surprising $10 parking fee. When I booked on Hilton Honors website, "free parking" is one of my filtering criteria and this hotel showed up. So the parking fee is also a surprise to me.
We (daughter, daughter-in-law and myself) stayed at the hotel for two nights on February 20 - 22, 2022. Check in was fine. Noticed others on Tripadvisor mention the check in was not welcoming. I would say the girl was pleasant but not all that welcoming. We stayed in the two bedroom suites. I had asked for the top floor but gal at desk acted like we were already assigned to the third floor. Other reviews mentioned thin walls and hearing other people. We did not hear that but instead heard someone walking above us like they had big mental boots on. We also heard sounds like someone was dropping big items on the floor above us. This went on at various times but only for a few hours and then all was quite. We used the washer and dryers, which were free, so that was nice. There were quite a few out of order. We made use of the free breakfast but not the dinner. They changed it up a little each day. Was disappointed in the fruit choices as there was not much of a choice and apples were cut up and slices in individual bags, looked like McDonald's. The view of the pool and mountains from the tables was really nice. There are plenty of tables even when it seemed crowd. Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel. It is fairly new and parking lot is well lit at night. It is close to downtown Palm Springs. The closest Starbucks is about one mile away. No other fast food or restaurants to walk to. One side of hotel is a golf course and the other side is homes. …
The Homewood Suites are spacious suites on a side street in Cathedral City. I am not familiar with the area geography, but it seemed to take about 15 minutes to drive anywhere I wanted to go in the Palms Springs area from here. The property quality is mixed, with both updated and outdated aspects in the suites and common areas. Laundry and a fire pit on site are nice features. The fitness center is small. There is a full breakfast included each day, but it was average quality and variety. Overall, the property delivered but did not exceed the quality I expected for the price and location.
Our family was delayed in the Southwest Airlines debacle and had to book two rooms at the last minute. This hotel was an oasis for us. Super friendly people, clean rooms and great location - feels isolated yet close to PSP airport. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a good choice for a weeklong stay to explore the area. It’s out in a residential area and very quiet. The only surprise when we arrived was the $10 per day parking where there appeared to be a huge parking lot with no assigned spots. The one bedroom suite provided us elbow room. I would have preferred a full sized stove with cooktop and oven in the kitchen. The microwave was a little bit shaky as it said it needed servicing. The hot water at the end of the building we were in, took a while to come at peak times. Breakfast was fine with a slight variation of eggs, spuds and meat every day. Fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal and pastries available plus waffles. Social night on Wednesday had complimentary wine/beer plus a light dinner and snacks. Pool was warm, but weather was not so didn’t take a dip. Gas BBQs were nice (2 on site and in covered shelter). Free laundry machines - all good, but bring detergent. Gym had the basics for cardio machines and an all in one weight machine. Free weights if that’s what you prefer. Staff was courteous. Building was clean, as was our room. Note that housekeeping was only on 5th day of week stay. You can get extra towels if needed though. Airport nearby, but noise not an issue.…
We are huge Hilton fans. We needed a meeting place for a family get together for Thanksgiving. And Homewood seemed like it would be a good fit. And Homewood Cathedral City did not disappoint! The hotel was clean and the entire staff was super friendly and accommodating. We had multiple rooms with our large group along with needing a handicap accessible room as one member in our group is in a wheelchair full time. The accessible room was very wheelchair friendly. The rooms was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The gym was small but had everything I needed. The morning breakfast was great and had something for everyone. The outdoor BBQ was awesome for hosting our family. My only complaint is that the hotel is missing a hot tub. We would totally stay here again. Thank you for the great stay!…
The staff here is very friendly. The rooms are quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet is ample. There's a dog run on the premises and short walking path. The CV Link (long walking and bike path) is across from the golf course. The hotel is adjacent to Cimmaron Golf Course. It's kinda tucked away, but quiet. Views of Mt. San Jacinto are lovely. My only nitpick is parking. Not the fee! I guess I did pay $10 for parking (don't remember). The lot is humongous, but spots are too far from the front door! It's a waste of space and not guest friendly. They need to do a simple re-design...bring the parking spots closer to the front door and get rid of some of the walking/sidewalk area. Why does this matter? Who wants to walk far to get to their room, especially at night? It's a convenience and safety issue. Other than that, I like this place. I recommended it to others who have already booked a reservation.…
My fiancée and I stayed for a week. This hotel was awesome and exceeded our expectations! The staff were all friendly, special shout out to Fastillo always with a warm welcome and a smile. There is a really nice walking path behind the hotel along the golf course. Best views of the mountains and windmills out of any hotel we've been in Palm Springs. Can't wait to come back thanks guys!
Excellent hotel. Staff are very helpful. Rooms are well equipped with full kitchen, seating area and two beds in the room. There are also bbq facilities which were in great condition. The hotel was handy to travel in to Palm Springs and there was free parking at the hotel. The swimming pool was great and the view of the mountains from the pool was beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Had stayed here before when first built a few years back. Tucked away, its a nice, new (still), well kept and maintained property. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast and coffee are always plentiful and varied. My only “ding” is that they now charge $10 a night to park in….a HUGE open parking lot. And there is no other place to park, even if you wanted to. There are no covered stalls, no attendant, no security, no valet. They just charge $10 because they can and which leaves the only bad taste for the property. Had it not been for the parking stupidity, I would have given it 5 stars.
