Stayed here the week of April 28. This was our 3rd visit and it’s still our FAVORITE! Our first visit was in 2009, 2nd in 2012 and then now. This was our 12th trip to Rivera Maya/Cancun area and we still think this is the...More
Just visited with my new wife for our Honeymoon! It was the best all-inclusive we have stayed at of any country. All of the employees were super pleasant and very helpful. All of the restaurants were delicious, as well as the buffets at breakfast and...More
I don't even know where to start... this place is freakin amazing! It is all inclusive and adults only which was great! Don't get me wrong, I like and have kids, but sometimes you just wanna get away. The rooms are beautiful and very clean...More
This is a beautiful place with extremely friendly staff. Clean and spacious feels like you are in the jungle. The beach front is phenomenal and very clean. Would highly recommend it to anyone 21 and up! Food choices are great.
My husband and I are repeat customers and I just about cry tears of joy once we get out of our transport. The staff there are like a second family to us, we are greeted by hugs and are so welcomed by Jesus, Juan Carlos,...More

Nothing really within walking distance. Puerto Morelos to the north about 15min, smaller town, but a nice morning or afternoon trip. Nice for snorkeling as well. Taxi or collective. South to PDC. Taxi, collectivo or the resort offers a shuttle "tour", think it was $18 per person. Can't remember how long to the hotel zone, it's been years. Time and cost will depend on what type of transportation you choose. Taxi, faster, direct, but more expensive. Public transportation, cheaper, but you are making multiple stops for pickups and drop-offs.

Usually price wise, the next higher is the silver, then the three goldens, then the emeralds. These are all junior suites. We stayed in a dlx junior last time and found it to be wonderful. Upgrading depends on what you want. Size wise, dlx/silver, emerald, then the goldens. Emerald is ocean front, but not necessarily ocean view. Only the upper floor offers a view of the water, and even then all have some foliage between you and the beach, some more than others...a lot more. Golden swimup is my preference and I'd take that over an emerald every time. Love the easy pool access and sitting outside my room in my own little backyard enjoying my morning coffee. Goldens are next to the golden pool, and that's are preferred pool. No rooms of any category are near the swimming area of the beach, you will have to walk to that, just a few minutes though.
PP, matter of preference. I personally think it's over priced. Three day minimum at $126 a day for two persons, so almost $400 just for the three days.
Highlights of the perks and alternatives...With the package, bali bed at beach OR main pool, not both. Or, you can rent by the day, $42, but it is subject to availability. I don't care for the main pool area so I'd only want one on the beach and it's not guaranteed. Also, if it's raining, you go on an excursion or you're sick, you wouldn't be using the bed that you've paid for. Would rather play it by ear.
Lobster with dinner included. Or, you can order it and just pay, $30-35. I don't plan on eating lobster EVERY night, I've already paid for every other menu item, why would I pay more. And, it is warm water lobster, not maine lobster, so it may not be what you expect.
4 bottles of alcohol for in room use, from a limited menu, one time fill whether you pay for 3 days or 14 days. Or, alcohol at any bar is free, just ask for a glass of what you want and take it back to your room.( I put it in a water bottle and kept it in the fridge...Or, grab a bottle of what you want before you leave the airport to head to the resort.
Early checkin/checkout (subject to availability, if a room isn't empty you still wait, if the room is needed, you vacate by 11). Or, when you arrive, you check in but don't necessarily get your room yet. They have a hospitality room where you can change and they will hold your luggage. Enjoy the entire resort until your room is ready....pools, food, bars, beach. Same when you leave, check out is 11. If your plane is later, checkout but continue to use the resort and they hold your luggage. Hospitality room to shower(towels and toiletries provided) when you need to leave. Ability to make dinner reservations. We ate by 7 and never had a wait, anywhere. Plus, I don't want to decide at 9am, where and when I'm going to have dinner. Play it by ear. 7:30-9, you might have a short wait, you get a buzzer..go have a drink. The only place reservations are required is the Hibachi dinner show. Make them with the concierge when it opens at 9am.
There's a few other perks, but those are the highlights. If, and that's if, I was going to do it, it would be for the minimum and I would do day 2-4, not the first or last day...
