I have stayed here before, so I knew it was going to be a good experience.
I was not disappointed, on arrival, I was greated by the owner Sheila, shown up to my room and sorted out Breakfast, all done with minimum of fuss, very efficient and very friendly.
My room was very clean and tidy, lovely soft bathrobes and lovely soft towels.
There is a choice of pillows, two soft and two firm, nice comfy beds and thick heavy covers on the beds making them very welcoming.
Breakfast is a good choice of cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and a full cooked breakfast, of course with toast etc.
I ride a motorcycle and feel it worth mentioning that the parking is well away from the road, out of sight of prying eyes and is flat and solid.
Granted, the place is situated on the outskirts of Jedburgh, but the tranquility and peaceful setting more than outway that.
I have no hesitation recommending Hundalee House, excellent value for money and a great place to stay.

I stayed here for one night at the beginning of my motorcycle holiday in Scotland.
The building is lovely, got bags and bags of old world charm.
Parking for a motorcycle is first class, block paving and level.
A long way from the main road and shielded by trees from prying eyes.
I had no concerns leaving my bike here overnight.
My room was on the ground floor, very clean and tidy. Towels were soft and fluffy and you even got a big thick bath robe as well.
I got a really good nights sleep, the bed was big and comfortable.
Plenty of choice at breakfast, cereal and fruit etc and a full cooked breakfast to set you up for the day.
Your host is Sheila and what a star she is, very cheerful and pleasant without being intrusive.
The WiFi is not the strongest in the world, but the views and the atmosphere more than make up for that.
An excellent place, great value for money and a pretty amazing host.

We loved the location of Hundalee House and its history was apparent in its decor and style which we appreciated. Our room was spacious and the en-suite shower room was good. The bed was a little uncomfortable for us, but other than that we had no issues with the room. We had to pre-order breakfast and we did so, but when we received it we were a little underwhelmed by the bacon in particular. Despite asking for crispy bacon it wasn’t cooked enough for us and it also had very little flavour. The hot chocolate was also not very nice and we ended up leaving it as it was undrinkable and more like mocha. Sheila was a very welcoming hostess and unlike others we had no issues with the dogs, but that is down to personal preference.

Thank you for your review, so sorry you did not like your stay, the room you were in everyone loves that bed and says it is very comfortable but you can not please everyone and it seems we could not please you at all. As for the dogs it clearly tell people on our web site that we are a working farm so we obviously have dogs, maybe next time you book somewhere you should read where you are staying properly.

This was the fourth hotel on this holiday and after say it's a hidden gem

Located close to Jedburgh and accessed via a short drive from the nearby main road.

There is parking available with ample gardens at the location.

The decor of the hotel is wonderful , the photos attached don't do it justice. It's like stepping back in time in to a lodge house with wonderful little touches that add its own style .

The host was delightful and very helpful. If you are looking for a place to stay near Jedburgh would recommend you pay the hotel a visit .

It's impossible to fault the place to be honest, the signage was good on the road leading to the property as it is a little out of the way, we found it in the dark at the end of a long journey easily.

The host was very helpful upon our arrival and was very chatty. We felt immediately at home and very welcome.

The property is a beautiful old house and our room was furnished really well.
My partner was particularly taken with the furnishings and decorations. We had a great night's sleep in a comfy bed and had a fantastic home-cooked breakfast the next day.

I would have absolutely no problem recommending this lovely place to anyone.

I travel a lot with my work and so have a lot of experience in staying away from home on a very regular basis and so it was a lovely surprise that paying so little got me one of the stand-out stays in any accommodation I have visited in 2022.

My partner and myself stayed at Hundalee house in Oct 21' for 3 nights and I have nothing but praise for Shiela.
We were greeted with a pleasant smile and bubbly personality which made us feel at home in seconds.
Our room was very clean, comfortable, warm & cosy. There are full tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished daily, bath robes and a hairdryer.
Breakfast choice and time is selected the day before and is served on time in the quaint dining room which I must say, is cooked to perfection by Peter.
The whole house has a beautiful charm and character which made our 3 night stay a true pleasure.
Shiela has good knowledge of the area which is very handy when it comes to restaurant advice.
I would highly recommend this guest house, you won't be disappointed!

Sheila was a wonderful hostess with all eventualities catered for. The house is very quiet about a mile off the main road in farm country just outside Jedburgh the room was luxurious and we loved it. Breakfast was varied with vegetarian option. Four poster bed was comfy. Could have stayed a week. Highlight was seeing a badger run down the road.

Located in a beautiful part of the country, peaceful and tranquil, a perfect place to unwind after a journey.
Lovely grade 2 listed home in extensive grounds, which we were free to explore.
Sheila and Peter could not have been better hosts and breakfast, served in front of a log fire, was delicious .

This was the perfect stay for myself and my husband. Although the b&b is on a farm, it's easy to spot where to go from the sign on the main road. The building itself is so beautiful and Sheila and Peter couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them - they clearly love what they do. They have two little dogs, which I was a bit worried about as I'm a bit nervous but the dogs are small, friendly and no bother.

The room itself was spacious, clean and homely, exactly as advertised, with a lovely view of the garden. We had an adjoining bathroom which was also very clean and modern. The b&b was a quiet and relaxing place for a stay, where we were free to come and go as we pleased for our weekend break.

I think my favourite part of the stay was the breakfast though, it was delicious. there was a good selection of cereals/juices for us to help ourselves to whilst the cooked breakfast was being prepared. The breakfast room was also really beautiful and homely, with a lovely view of the grounds too.

Honestly, I couldn't fault our stay at all and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing stay somewhere beautiful.

What a beautiful place to stay, the surroundings are amazing and the views from our bedroom were spectacular. We were greeted with warmth by Sheila, who was so friendly. Breakfast was delicious and hot, and there was a good selection of fruit and cereal. I loved the honey that was made on site. It a shame our stay was only 1 night, we have loved to stay longer and will definitely be looking to come back again in the future. The gorgeous dogs Milo and Lexi were a highlight, Milo came and spent time in our room with us which was lovely.
