Very special accomodation with spectacular view and great service! Only 5 chalets fully equipped as a 5-stars hotel, high quality to the smallest details in everything. You feel like at home, can go to the kitchen any time and prepare your breakfast or snack, wander around in the garden and hillside. The owners are unique and fantastic people who are always there to help you regarding programs, restaurants or for a chat about the story of this accomodation. You can rent free of charge e-mountain bikes here and can make bike tours on the beautiful mountains even crossing the border to Italy. Would gladly return any time for relax and an active mountain holiday.
We’re just wrapping up a great couple nights at Nebesa Tourist Houses. The setting is just unbelievable and the hosts could not be any warmer. It was a great home base to explore the Soca Valley and we had dinner at Hisa Franko one evening (amazing). We also enjoyed a more casual dinner at Hisa Polanko one evening. Nebesa’s views are magical and the set up is great. Each chalet has furnishings (indoor and out) that are placed to maximize comfort and the views. The hosts help us with our hiking logistics and cabs to/from dinner. Breakfast and snacks are always available (self serve) so it almost feels like a vacation rental without the hassle of shopping. Theres a great sauna / spa suite which we unfortunately didn’t have time to use this trip. I highly recommend and wish we were staying a few more days.…
The 360 degree views leave you speechless. From the moment you wake up, until you close your eyes, the magic scenery is all around you. You can meet with other guests and exchange a word or two in the common kitchen in a very mountaineering’s manner, or you can escape and enjoy what Nebesa chalets has to offer in your peaceful oasis. The hosts are incredibly kind and hospitable, and the star of the family is the friendliest and cuddliest dog - Ash. We’ve experienced Nebesa in the winter glory, and are excited to visit it in other seasons too. Highly recommended! Jera & Gasper
I almost don’t want to share how much i love this place. With only four chalets it’s small and hard to book as is. But i will share that it’s an amazing place. Up in the mountains it’s not the easiest to get to, but so worth it. I’m not sure what i loved the most: the views, Ash the dog, the help yourself wine room, or the experience. The owners are great. After a tour of the place, we settled in to enjoy our time there. Resident dog Ash is seriously the cutest and best behaved dog. And i enjoyed visiting with the neighbor goats and deer. I enjoyed the open kitchen and ability to get what we wanted when we wanted. The coffee machine made some tasty cappuccinos. Husband enjoyed the beer on tap. The homemade sausage was quite good. And how can you beat making your own charcuterie board anytime you need a snack? Each chalet has its own kitchen stocked with yogurt, eggs, cheese, juice, jam, and more. I was able to make a nice egg sandwich for breakfast one morning. The chalet is roomy and the deck is great. A minor dislike is the living room chairs. They look cooler than they are comfortable. The bed was quite comfortable and i like the USB ports on both sides of the bed. The bathroom was good sized and nice water pressure. We tried the two saunas and they are both nice (with a great view). I borrowed a cushy yoga mat from the gym to exercise on our deck in the morning. There are trails for a steep and pretty hike up the mountain. The owners are so friendly and provided wonderful recommendations for dining in the area. They also helped setup kayaking and SUP for us to enjoy the river. There are e-bikes available that we didn’t use (this time). This is one of my favorite places I have stayed (even with the cat ignoring me). I can’t wait for my next visit!…
When you reach almost the top of the hill, you first see a beautiful view of the surrounding hills, mountains, nature, garden ... then the hearthfelt, spontaneus, warm family (and an beautiful dog Ash) welcomes you ... as if you were at home. If we add to all this the exclusivity of living and services ... then we are truly aware that we are in heaven-nebesa. We had a wonderful time, I recommend it to everyone ... Treat yourself to a real vacation. Samo and Maja ... you're great. Thanks
Loved every inch of the place. Most beautiful and peaceful experience ever! The staff (the family living there) were amazing hosts. We were hiking around the valley and then in the evening we have enjoyed every single of the time looking around with incredible views.
This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The views are simply stunning and the chalets of a really high standard. Waking up looking out to the mountains was truly special. You can help yourself to lots of food and drink when ever you like and we enjoyed collecting breakfast and then sitting out on the balcony taking it all in. The owners were really friendly and welcoming. We used the binoculars at night to view the stars in a truly dark night sky. Yes, it's expensive but it's worth every penny and we will definitely return.
We just left the Nebesa chalets this morning and are already plotting our return. The hosts, Samo and Maja, were warm, welcoming, and helpful and the views from the property cannot be beat. We were also very fond of their dog, Ash - a big, friendly Bernese mountain dog. The property has a lovely spa area and offers all the prosciutto, salami, cheese, beer, and wine you can consume. Everything is self-service (there are fridges stocked with eggs and yogurt for breakfast, for instance), which makes it feel very much like a home. Samo and Maja gave helpful suggestions and even offered to mail us a shirt when we forgot it in the closet. We can’t say enough good things.
Considering the price much higher level of service would be expected. The owners pursue the “DIY concept” (breakfast is prepared completely by a guest himself and a guest is also expected to load a dishwasher in the common kitchen afterwards?!?)..besides this please note that there is no “Matterhorn view”, it is just a view of one of many hills in Slovenia.. so overall this is a decent accomodation, but extremely overpriced or their services should be adjusted accordingly.
We spent two nights of our honeymoon at Nebesa and had a fantastic experience. The chalets are private and well-furnished with modern features, a comfortable bed and unbelievable view. If you plan to stay in this area and want a romantic experience (or at least a kids-free one), this is the place to stay--there is no comparison. Thank you, Maga, for starting our honeymoon off on the right note!
