Agamemnon is a good and value for money option for Nafplio. The rooms and bathrooms have been fully renovated. Facilities are clean. Breakfast quality was not great, however with so many good food options just outside the hotel, this did not matter much. Staff and service was of high standard.
Such a nice hotel in a perfect location. You can walk everywhere. The views are fantastic. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. I highly recommend this boutique hotel on the waterfront. They will be closed for renovations soon until mid March 2020.
I'm giving this hotel 4 stars and not five for two reasons. The first and most important is noise pollution, the sound proofing between rooms is bad. The second is you can't flush the toilet paper down the toilet and it was the only hotel in our tour of Greece that we couldn't. Onto the positives of which there are many, the price for staying there is really good, the location is stunning, the hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfast offered was quite good. For the locaction alone I would stay there again and bring ear plugs but I have to stress I am very sensative to noise when trying to sleep so what bothers me might not bother others.
We stayed at the hotel for a night. The location is simply beautiful. Right next to the water, the boardwalk and zillions of restaurants. Some rooms even have a view of the castle.Ours unfortunately didn’t. But the rooms were clean and well maintained. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The wifi was good. The breakfast room had many options and it was nice to simply relax with water views and enjoy your first meal of the day. Parking is definitely a problem. We had a large car and had to make a few loops before we found a spot. I could not say enough about the wonderful town of Nafplio. It is indeed a treasure! Overall a wonderful experience. Recommend this highly to all.
We had a room at the front of the hotel, facing the water. The hotel throughout was clean and well maintained. Our room was very nice, and the hotel was very nice, but what really made our stay special was the water view from our balcony, with the constantly changing parade of interesting boats entering and leaving this fascinating port. (The hotel is toward the seaward end of a line of hotels, and so we thought that its perspective was slightly better than those further up the line.) The location was also very convenient for exploring the lively old quarter of Nafplio, which begins just behind the hotel. We would particularly note that there appeared to be a lot of lodging in newer, to us less interesting, areas of the town. Whether or not you stay at The Agamemnon, it would be a shame to stay in the newer rather than the older areas of this large port town. I also want to clarify one of our answers below, to the question which asks whether public parking is available nearby "for a fee." There is a huge public parking lot ten minutes easy walk away, but it is free, not for a fee.…
