The hotel is simply amazing! You will have the best view of the forest and in 5 minutes drive you arrive at the place where the Gorilla trekking starts. The accommodations are very spacious, clean and comfortable! The food is delicious and the cooker can make anything you like. Lastly, the hosts were fantastic. All of them were really kind and helpful, making us feel at home. They even made us a delicious welcoming cake and sing a traditional song welcoming us. I never before saw such attentive and caring hosts. I recommend this place 100%!
We were so fortunate! we were able to spend 2 nights at the Gorilla Safari Lodge. The people are amazing, extrordinary friendly always trying to do their best. The chef cook is amazing too, always comes and discusses the menu with each guest. The staff is outstanding! They help you to prepare for the trekking, they even wash your cloths and shoes free of charge after you come back from the Gorilla trekking. The rooms are fantastic, spacious, very nicely decorated, big and beautiful bathroom. Food is delicious and the whole surrounding is beautiful. Within walking distance you can visit some shops and the local community. We would love to come back!
We stayed at the Gorilla Safari Lodge which exceeded all our expectations. The lodge was in a perfect location. The ride from the airstrip is about 2 hours, but what a cultural experience to watch the Africa communities at work. Once at the lodge we were treated like royalty. JB the manager and the staff met all our needs and beyond. Daniel & Anold were exceptional. The tables that they set up for us each night was something from another world. The food was amazing. The beds were so comfortable with extra blankets and the warm water bottle was divine. The trek was physically challenging as we had to trek about 2 hours before catching up with the gorillas. The gorillas were spectacular. The Siverback walked right by us that he almost brushed up against us. One female gorilla pushed one of our friends out of the way, which was CRAZY fun!! We saw the mom nursing her baby and little ones wrestling and the silverback beat his chest. Bring warm waterproof gear, appropriate footwear and GLOVES. The thorns are gnarly. We did NOT get 1 bug bite, but we did use some repellent. Surprisingly the bugs were not an issue. It was majestic and words can not describe the experience. We highly recommend the Gorilla Safari Lodge and the trek experience.…
Travelling during Covid we were the only guests in the hotel (as in all other establishments). The servicelevel we experienced exceeded all expectations and past experiences in other hotels. Massages were fabulous, the food was beyond delicious (ask for the chocolate mousse) and at one point we discovered our rooms and beds were cleaned two times a day. I also read some old reviews that were less positive. Looking at the content of these reviews we can only conclude that the management takes the feedback very seriously, as all the mentioned critiques were not applicable at all to our stay. If I must name one point of improvement it is the bathroom. It was very clean, but a little bit worn out and could use a restyle. 10/10. Would come again. With kind regards, Koen, Wijnand, Jochem and Michiel…
We stayed for two nights to do the gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We were greeting most friendly, got something to snack and drink immediately and got a good overview what is going to be expected. Then we wer shown to our bungalow, that is situated in the middle of a lush garden. I felt like being already in the rainforest. Blooming flowers everywhere. Our bungalow was spacious and nicely decorated. In the evening, the birthday of my husband, the whole stuff sang and danced for him, the table was set with flowers and candles. So beautiful! Food is delicious and enough to get stuffed. After our gorilla tracking, we could leave our dirty clothes with the staff and got it back clean at the next morning. My shoes looked better than before... Great service and and a great location!!! Thanks to all members of the staff! 'As we did the trip before most people in the world could get a vaccination, only our temperature was checked, as every foreigner needed a PCR-Test to get into Uganda. I can´t tell, if the would need to see the vaccination proof.…
