What a spectacularly stunning location! Cabins are quaint with everything you could possibly need to relax and unwind! Extremely comfortable bed and a spa big enough for 2! Will definitely be returning as we loved the setting, wildlife and serenity! The resident possum was definitely a highlight aswell as the multiple breeds of birds!
My partner and I stayed here for her birthday, we stayed in Possum cabin 2. If your after an out of the way place with nothing but nature at your doorstep then Bluegums is for you, from having Possums pay you a visit to all sorts of birdlife, a beautiful pool to swim in, and tennis along with a barbeque, 4 Poster bed and fire place, you have just about all you need, just bring along your supplies or get them from Dungog just 20 minutes away. Can't recommend Bluegums highly enough and look forward to another return.
Me and wife stayed here for a couple of nights our first real getaway from our 3 year old so idea was to relax which indeed we did however we found the cabin was just too basic for the $250 night price tag. Firstly the location is middle of nowhere with all due respect so you really do need to bring everything with you which is painful when you consider breakfast, lunch and dinner, drinks, snacks etc etc. The log fire was lovely however ours was not cleaned still had ashes and an old log inside. Our TV was the tiniest I have ever experienced my computer monitor is bigger and for the price we paid and the cost of TVs these days totally unacceptable as we wanted to relax and watch the cricket and footy. A radio or iPod dock would be nice also as really there is nothing to listen…
A wonderful little piece of paradise. Lovely little cabin especially in the winter. The possum and lilypond cabins are ideal for a couple’s weekend to reconnect away from it all. There is so much to see in the local area. From Chinchester Dam to Dungog museum, there is something for everyone. Your hosts Amanda and Gavin are wonderful, with so many personal touches.
Kulanmaya cabins are nested on the side of a picturesque hill, surrounded by bush and a seranade of bird songs. The air is cool and fresh. 20 minutes plus drive out of Dungog, private and secluded this cabin was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed, an open fire, spa and a full kitchen. We had wonderfully relaxing long weekend tripping about the local area staying in a snug, warm and comfortable Kulanmaya cabin.
