We just checked out this place fornthe forst time to have dinner with some friends and loved it. The rendang was amazing and lasagna great too. The atmosphere is relaxing and homey. We will definitely be back.. Ask Ibu Yanti to cook you up some rendang

I loved my stay here. The hotel is right on the river, which is great for swimming and kayaking. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept, and the bedroom was very comfortable with great A/C. The cabin/bungalow I stayed in was quaint, quiet, and I loved relaxing on the hammock on my front porch. The food seemed to be authentic, home-cooked local food (the cooks are very kind Achenese women), and it was a highlight of the stay. All of the staff and management in general are very kind and helpful.

Simple and spacious accomdations with amazing food and amazing people! If visiting Banda Aceh, I highly recommend staying at Riverside. We brought our family and the kids had a blast on the beach as well as taking the boat up the river. Sam, the owner, is the nicest guy and very helpful. We will be back!

I stayed a month at the riverside for a surf holiday and I think it's the best place to stay here in Longkha beach. My friend and I rented a beautiful wooden house with 2 rooms, bathroom and kitchen. all very comfortable and cared for. besides waking up every morning in this fantastic tropical garden, carefully taken care of every day, and at the side of the river made every day more beautiful. Sam, the owner, is a charming person, always available, intelligent and very human. You eat much better than the average of the area. I highly recommend it. 10 and praise!

by the time the airplane fly on top of banda aceh, felt so touched by the tsunami memories. The owner of the resort, Pak sam was waiting at the airport and drove me straight away to the resort. Such a cozy n homey resort with a small village view. Near to the nice white sandy beach. Good waves for surfing, lots of surfer, cheap local food & being invited to a local wedding. Dinner at the resort a bit slow, need to wait about 2 hours to get the food, But the food taste good. And we still can chill with the pool table while waiting for the dinner.

This is a positive review What a heartwarming resort Riverside is! The owner Sam and his lovely staffs really make me feel like home here. I spent 11 days at this resort, besides a little bit of mossies attack (since it's in the tropic how could one avoid) there's nothing else of negative I could possibly say. The rooms are amazing, I visited a few of them. All spacious and private, one can definitely enjoy his/her solitude or to share the space with your companions. Foods are the other great perk Riverside offers! I'll let your own experience tell the story! At last, few pointers: Cold water for shower only Wifi in the restaurant only Bring repellent for your sake! I hope this review will make a positive impact on your planning.

I definitely recommend Riverside! Every time I go to Lhoknga I stay there. I absolutely love it. The owner Sam is the best, he’s like the uncle everyone wishes they had. He always comes around at the perfect time, full of smiles and stories, making your morning or evening that much better. The staff are amazing as well, super friendly and helpful. And always serving up the most delicious meals. The women there can cook!! Its just what you look forward to after a day of exploring, or of double surfs!! The dining and lounge area is super chill with couches, tv, pool table, and of course wifi, which actually works quite well. I think people might overlook Riverside because its on the other side of the road but it actually makes for a quiet and peaceful get-away. The grounds are really big, garden-meets-jungle ha ha, and are absolutely beautiful. You can sit on your porch in the hammock lost in the midst of never-ending green, and literally drink in the tranquility. And getting to the beach is easy. You can rent a bike and get to there in just a few minutes. When I stay there I just jog over in the morning to have a look at the waves. Its a perfect little warm up. And the crazy thing is, that even though its not right on the beach, I could still hear the waves from my room!! I haven’t stayed anywhere else so I can’t really compare. I stayed at Riverside the first time I visited and have found “home". Won’t be going anywhere else. If you’re looking for home away from home, I recommend staying there too. Really makes ALL the difference when you stay at a comfortable, enjoyable place. With good food! ;) Thank you Sam and all the staff - you guys are amazing and will always keep me coming back!! Really enjoyed my stay here. Comfortable bungalows, nice food and friendly people. They have a ping pong and pool table which is a really great bonus! Sam the owner is a very nice guy. Pragmatic and helpful. He let us use his canoes on the river which was a lot of fun! Terima kasih!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Riverside for a couple of weeks. Our experience here has been phenomenal. From staying in the centre of Banda Aceh in a hotel with no window to coming to Riverside definitely changed our perception of Banda Aceh. -Interior of rooms are very cozy -Affordable rate considering you can eat on the premises -Western food, great even for vegetarian's/pescatarians (eat only fish) eg. delicious salad, veg lasagne (with tomato and eggplant), fish fettuccine, thin noodles with cocktail shrimp, fresh fruit salad, oats, pancakes, coffee and serve beer (not too expensive) -Pool table in excellent condition and ping pong table -Able to play music (our own music) on speakers -I do a lot of work online and the WIFI works perfectly ALSO NEAR BEACH (5MIN WALK) & HAVE CANOOS SO CAN ENJOY THE RIVER SAM, YANTI, IJAH, AND ANI - THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING. From the moment you wake up for breakfast that is included, till you go to sleep, you are a part of the family here....delicious food, western food or local, cold drinks, everyone says hello to you, if you need help with a trip or a scooter or a surf board, its all too easy for the staff here, well they arent staff, they are like uncle or aunt or brothers and sisters. Its hard to explain how spacious and spread out the property is....each bungalow is private, you can play frisbee on the lawns in between....paddle board on the river, scooter to the beach and surf or swim, and so many fun things to do...Its 10 mins into town, but its paradise out here...I dont want to leave... Sam looks after everyone, ask about his secret beach...Get Reddi to give you a surf lesson...Im 44 and he got me to surf, first try. I was only meant to stay here 1 week, but I cancelled the rest of my trip, and stayed here as my base to explore...check out Sunset Cafe, Harry's coffee, Amir Cafe...the locals all smile and wave at you, you feel like a superstar!
